When I was driving to college today, my friends and I were playing the Corrupted Wish game, and we somehow got to talking about 'Hollywoodising" anime. This is what happened to Gensoumaden Saiyuki: Kanzeon Bosatsu: Angelina JolieKomyo Sanzo: Viggo MortesonGenjo Sanzo: Johnny DeppSon Goku: Jake Thomas (Lizzie McGuire's bro) Hakkai: (This one hurt me... Strange that I could actually see a couple of them (mainly Goku and Kanzeon Bosatsu . . . . really, I could see that), but the others . . . . I'm not too sure about . . .
Still, that is pretty interesting to hear!

I'm sorry, but I cannot see Johnny making a very good Sanzo. XD
I DO agree with Kannon, though. Jolie has the looks for it. xd

Hakkai no Pinku Pantii People'll see this when they come in. It's been a slow week. @_@ Good point. Just wanted you guys to visualise it though; Depp could make a good Sanzo, if for nothing else than his acting skills. I can actually imagine him as Sanzo. :p

While I agree with the Merciful Goddess, I think Johnny Deep would be more Hakkai, and possibly, Viggo Mortenson would be Kougaiji.

Ah, the actors, that is. I know who the Saiyuki characters are, of course.

And choose some hyper teen boy-toy for Goku. (*mind is blank*) IMO I think the hardest character to find an actor to fit the role would probably be Sanzo (I'm not too sure about that really . . ). Nice choices so far! blaugh

Viggo Mortenson (Aragon in Lord of the Rings) as Kougaiji? Could work.
Depp (Capt. Jack Sparrow of Pirates of the Carribean) as Hakkai? I don't know. I always envisioned Depp playing deeper and more conflicting emotions. There's a really wide range of emotions that changes faster on Sanzo's face than there are on Hakkai's.
