Whoops! Almost forgot to metion their almost psychic bond to each other. Everyone who's watched GW will notice that when Heero is thinking of Relena, Relena also thinks of him and vice versa. Also, when they call out each others' names, no matter how far apart they are, more often then not, the other will respond by saying the name of the one who called out. This is fairly obvious in the last few episodes. Other couples with this bond are Dorothy and Quatre who sensed each other while both using the ZERO system and Treize and Une since Une woke up just in time to save him from the Libra cannon. What's your opinion?

Well I think it's highly possible after what happened in Waltz too Relena holding him after he fainted fighting through all the events and he didn't have to kill anymore.

Not necessarily psychic... hallucinational? In episode 30, after Heero falls from the cockpit of Zero, he gets this image of Relena. Perhaps he's just too head over heels that he even generates pictures of her while he's woozy? If that were the case then I'd say that Heero's getting kind of obsessive, but that just might be what he needs to liven up the relationship, I don't know. ^^

IfHeero's obsessive, I don't think he realizes it. Isn't it funny how he starts to obsess over her just when she's started to stop obsessing over him and focus more on politics? I think they're a good match since they do have the tendency to obsess about each other...

So you're saying first Relena obsesses, then Heero obsesses, and in the end they should reach a stage where they're both equally obsessed and non-obsessed at the same time about each other, thus making them a great couple. Well, most of that I put together. But you get my drift...

You got it right! Anyway, I don't really think their relationship will be sugar sweet hugs and cheek kisses like Lacus and Kira's. I bet 1+R will have a turbulent relationship but what do you expect? I can imagine their kid now:
1+R's kid: Dad, how'd you meet mom?
Heero: She invited me to her b-day party at school so I tore up the invite and threatened to kill her.
Not exactly a fairy tale love, don't you think? What problems do you think they'll have? I have a feeling they're post-EW relationship is an employer-bodyguard one since that's what I saw in the EW graphic novel. Hey! Wasn't that Cagalli and Athrun's relatiuonship too before they broke up in Destiny?

And yes - I don't expect some perfect relationship with those two. They're really going to have a hard time with it, but I think with wills like those two, they can make it work.

Athrun and Cagalli's breakup was BS. The head writer just wanted to split them up, so she acted like their being from different classes would somehow prevent them from being together. Of course, this flies in the face of the notion that if you truly love someone, nothing else matters. Besides, Athrun's not just some lowly bodyguard - his father was the chairman of an entire cluster of colonies; that's pretty well analogous to being the leader of a nation. Granted, old Patrick did go Froot Loops later on, but that's beside the point.
Um... >_>;; Yeah, I feel a bit strongly about that topic. What can I say? I liked Cagalli's character before they messed her up, seemingly for no reason other than the head writer's dislike of her.
Back onto the main issue...I say give them some more time. They're only sixteen, and have spent most of their lives with other things more important than romance, Heero especially. Personally, I think the best thing for a future relationship would be for them to attempt to resume normal lives. We see Heero attending school in Blind Target; I'd assume that's what he's doing now. Maybe Relena should leave her job to go back to high school or college, and allow her to focus on more normal teenage things instead of keeping the nations of Earth from nuking one another. Once she can actually have a social life, maybe there will be dates. Who knows? A little normalcy might be just what they need.

Good point Void-kun! In Ground Zero, doesn't Relena often visit Heero at school? Even if that's doujin, I think that's what's gonna happen. Although, if Heero evr gets a job, I think he'll do what he did in the EW manga and be her bodyguard or join Preventer. There has to be some basis to all those art book pics where the guys are dressed as Preventers, right? Speaking of art books, has anyone else seen the pic of Relena in a wedding dress? I'm betting the arist likes her. Anyway, she's alone in that pic. Is the artist trying to say that it would have been nice if she'd been married but we're no exactly sure to whom and how? Also I see some fics where she's paired withTrowa but I don't really understand since they never met. There's another where she's married to Quatre because of an ESUN decree and he cheats on her with Trowa while she cheats on him with Heero. Weird... What do you think of the fan interpretations of the relationship?

Point on number three Lady-sama. She didn't convince him. He did it of his own accord.
I believe if given the chance a relationship between the two would thrive and prosper. It would make on hell of a story too. But if the two's lives stay as they are, they don't have a chance. If those two stay apart too long they will lose what they have. Over time it would dwindle down to a crush until they finally get over each other and move on.
You see their relationship is fragile and yes will require a LOT of work to make it work. Although, I think they can pull it off.
That fic you typed about, Lady-sama. Where did you find that? That sounds funny.

The fics where people put Relena with Trowa bother me. They go out of their way to separate her from Heero, but then they pair her off with the character closest to Heero in terms of personality. If that happened in real life (and not with divine intervention), it would be an obvious sign of a subconscious desire for Heero.
I have a really hard time imagining Relena with anyone else, to be honest...
-Duo: He flirts, but that's his personality; plus, I think he respects her and thinks of her as "Heero's girl" a bit too much to do anything.
-Trowa: As was said, never met her, and though he's nice to women I don't think he'd express anything more than polite friendship.
-Quatre: They did meet, but I don't remember them interacting on anything other than a political level, and he, like Duo, probably recognizes her attraction to Heero.
-Wu Fei: I know they say that opposites attract, but you've gotta be kidding me. The most I could see out of any interaction between these two is grudging respect, but they're just too damn different.
-Treize: Yes, I've seen this one before. No, it doesn't work, because that would make Treize a ***** and I think he respects her too much as his best friend's little sister to do anything.
-Rashid: Saw this one too...it was a lemonfic done as part of an "oddest pairing" contest. The second I saw the pairing, I closed the window to protect my fragile mind. >
As for Heero, I might be able to see him in a relationship with a different woman, but that would honestly just end up being "training"; gaining experience in a romantic relationship so that he's not a total idiot when he and Relena hook up. I could pretty easily see Dorothy filling this role, partly to help hook them up, and partly because she'd want to see what all the fuss is about.

The worst thing is when yaoi fans go out of their way to put Heero with Duo or something. It makes no sense - the series has made it perfectly clear that Relena and Heero are canon, and there's no real proof to back their claims up. And seriously, I don't see Heero as the type to be gay.
