About the Venus FlytrapDionaea muscipula Photo courtesy of spacerad.com/rabbit/plant.htmlCommon Name: Venus Flytrap Family: Droseraceae Genus: Dionaea
Habitiat: Bogs or marshes Location: Central-Southeastern coastal plain of the United States
One of the most well-known insectivorous plants in the wild, the carnivorous nature of the flytrap makes it interesting to study. The plant consists of two leaf "jaws" joined together with a series of tiny hairs inside the "mouth".
If an unwary insect walks across these hairs, touching two or more of them in succession, the leaf will close quickly enough to prevent its escape where the helpless insect is slowly digested and absorbed by the leaf. Glands on the leaf surface secrete several digestive enzymes that help to decompose the insect. Once the insect has been digested sufficiently, the leaf re-opens for another victim.Info courtesy of The Botanical Society of America website

Worker's JournalFebruary 1st, 2006 I received my new ward today, soil, planter and all. I'm told Venus flytraps are a little difficult to take care of seeing as they require a lot of moisture and are carnivorous. He looks rather fragile, I worriedly check on him often. ~ Rabid 5th Lab technician

Quote: Silence echoed through the small lab room, offset by the random interruption by what sounded like heavy breathing. A terracotta pot sat under a warm heat lamp, the seedling buried deep within no doubt hungrily absorbing the energy that was provided. Although the soil within had produced little disturbance beside the growth of a small shoot, it was undoubtably alive and thriving actively.
As for it's observer...
A loud outburst from down the hall caused the unweary botanist to nearly fall off the teetering metal stool she was precariously positioned on. A small moan, a groan, rubbing of the eyes behind dark sunglasses (despite the lack of "sunlight" in the building). It seemed the steadfast lab tech had fallen asleep....AGAIN.
Rabid let out a gruff yawn and stretched her arms back in their sockets though her eyes trailed towards the spot where she recalled she had left her pot. "Oh good." She mumbled sarcastically to no one in particular. "Haven't moved an inch. You're so reliable Sevy, really." Uennie Uennie turned her head slightly. Leaning over to the wall from where she was sitting, she pressed a manicured finger onto the button of the intercom.
"Attention all Laboratory employees. Due to the oncoming of Valentines Day, feel free to drop by the larger biodome greenhouse and pick some flowers to bring home to your sweetheart!"
She lifted her finger and pulled out a small tin of Altoids. Popping one in her mouth she offered the opened tin to her collegue. "Cinnamon Altoid?" Quote: Rabid heard the announcement loud and clear, rolling her eyes as the beginnings of a response. "Sweetheart. Pfft." The woman murmured bitterly under her breath though she began to rise from her seat to stretch out her legs. "You're my only sweetheart, luv puppy!" She called out with strained vocal cords as she stretched with a pointed finger to the subject of her statement, the plant under the lamp.
"I need a dog." She grumbled and shook her head at herself. She must be losing it. "And coffee, be back in a sec there. Don't you go doing anything exciting or anything while I'm gone." Rabid strolled out and down the hall to the staffroom, wondering how long it was until her coffeebreak. Quote: Rabid tapped the toe of her boot to the song she hummed while fixing herself a coffee, enjoying the aroma and the break from... not working.
Voices from down the hall bounced off the lenolium flooring and made her wish she was back at her lab station already. I hope my Sevy won't be so irritating. She thought idly to herself with the stirring of the mug in her hand. She barely noticed she was staring off now, deep in thought and still humming while holding her nice, warm cup of coffee. "I wonder how many more days 'til Valentines...." Quote: Only hearing the noise elavate, Rabid snapped out of her reverie. With a heavy sigh she snatched up her mug and sauntered out of the staffroom, glancing only for a moment down the hall at the Doctor's office before scuttling to her own corner of the lab complex. "I'm back!" She announced out of habit as she came through the doorway, sneaking a peek at Sevy's pot.
With an expert eye she knew he had had enough light for now and displaced the pot to a nearby countertop. She picked up the tune from before and started humming as she moistened the soil and sprout with a spray bottle, making sure the flytrap was tended to. Quote: Rabid took a seat after convincing herself that she had fussed enough over the plant and should leave it be to do it's thing. She scribbled some observations into her notepad, nothing overly exciting.
The lab tech crossed her arms and slouched forward in her seat until her chin rested on table, "getting back to work" and unintentionally drifting off to sleep.

Rabid Jigglypuff The metal hinges creaked as a single glass-paned door edged open in the hallway. The unknown intruder's hand held the entryway open for a moment before a familiar fuschia-haired femme appeared from around the corner. The entire Laboratory facility seemed to be still with inactivity, much to the botanist's delight. "I think it's clear." She whispered to herself mostly, not wanting to make it obvious she was doing something she shouldn't. This was just a simple "tour". Besides, she imagined poor Sevy was all alone and wanted company.
Kitara Kata "You know, if it's against the rules to visit then maybe I should leave... I don't want you to get in trouble." Or me... Kitara thought as she stepped in behind her sister, Katrina in her arms. Crimson gaze looked around the building, both mother and adopted daughter taking in all the sights.
Rabid Jigglypuff "Oh, quiet. I wouldn't do anything stupid, would I?" Rabid sighed and stepped into the dark and echoing hallway, dim lights and rows of closed doors making the place a little creepy. Huffing along, the lab tech motioned with a hand for the two to follow. "This is a LAB TOUR! Ain't it great? Ya I know boring, let's go to my place." Sauntering down the empty hall, the female's heels tapped cheerfully across the linolium flooring towards her lab station before rummaging for her keys.
Kitara Kata A whimper escaped the tiny pup's maw at the dark. She was afraid of the dark! "Arrrooow... arooowww..." Clinging to the necromancer's top with clawed hands, she pressed her face into her chest and whinned, wanting to go back into the light.
Kitara decided not to answer the question, knowing her answer would probably get her thwapped upside the head. Normally she wouldn't mind that, but with a baby in her arms she didn't want to risk it. Instead, she shhed and cooed Katrina as they walked.
Her footfall was almost dead silent compared to her sisters, walking lightly on her toes being one habit she had ever since she was created. "So... what exactly do you do here?" She knew full well Rabid wasn't the 'overworked lab tech smarty pants'-type. Rabid Jigglypuff Fumbling along with the keycard to the door, Rabid's expression changed from one of irritation, frustration, malice and finally relief as the familiar "beep-beep" resounded through the complex. "I work." She chirped back to her younger sister as she opened the door and flicked on the neon overhead lights. After tossing her purse onto a spare table, Rabid decided to ellaborate a bit as she foresaw a torrent of questions from her curious guest. "We're a botanical laboratory, studying..." She stopped by the little tent she had set up on the far table, moisture droplets sticking to the inside surface to house a humid environment inside. "-special... types on plants." She smiled and gestured to contraption. Kitara Kata The reaper winced as the bright lights hit her eyes, cat-like pupils adjusting to mere black slits. Katrina didn't like them either, giving a tiny yip even though she was glad to be out of the dark.
"Work?" An eyebrow raised in disbelief. "Special plants?" Now Kitara's brow furrowed in confusion. She leaned down to look at the strange contraption her sister gestured to, the puppy in her arms looking curiously at it as well.
"What do you mean?" She had NO idea what her older sister was babbling about. But if she was caring for something alive? ... Oh crap. The poor thing was doomed. Rabid Jigglypuff Rabid paused for awhile for effect, pointing to the tented container until she was convinced Kitara was just plain clueless. "UGH." She grunted and pulled off the cover to reveal a rather well-kept terracotta pot complete with a small green sprout. Thermometers jutted out from the sides of the soil-brimmed container and an odd-looking irrigation system seemed to be hooked up to provide a steady drip of water to the plant. "Meet Sevy! Sevy, this is Kitara and Katrina, girls this is Sevy." "Isn't he CUTE!" Kitara Kata Kitara blinked and stood upright again, staring at the plant. Special? It looked like any other plant to her. It even smelled the same. Slowly her gaze traveled to her sister's hidden eyes. She had no problems with naming a plant since they were living things but... how was it special?
Katrina blinked and stared at the plant, reaching out to it with a furry paw. "Errrrrr!" She grinned and continued to reach even though it was feet out of range. Meanwhile, the demoness continued to stare at her older sibling. "Okay, so your taking care of plants?" She didn't want to say that Rabid didn't seem the type to... give a damn. Rabid Jigglypuff Rabid's excited grin was fading fast. "Well yea, I'm taking care of him. He's mine, he was given to me to take care of..." Her brow furrowed and she stared back at Kitara with a mixture of disappointment and resentment at what she was implying. She knew what she was thinking. The little catgirl was probably making bets in her head at how long something would live in her care. She'd show her... "He's special." The fellow demoness covered Sevy back up in a fury, feeling the need to repeat herself over and over to try and drill the idea into her head. Kitara Kata "Well, I understand that." The hellspawn replied, watching her sister put 'Sevy' back in his little containment center much to Katrina's dismay. "But how is he special? I don't understand." Kitara blinked, eyes returning to met her sister's. The look on her face was general innocent curiosity, one of the many looks that made people melt and pinch her cheeks while calling her baby names. Rabid Jigglypuff Rabid leaned her back against the edge of the desk Sevy was happily dwelling on, fiercly frowning as she seemed to debate something in her mind. Crossing her arms over her chest, the older sibling leaned closer to Kitara despite decreasing proximity to the creature in her arms. "He's a BABY." She whispered this in hushed caution, automatically standing up straight again as if she was being watched. She wasn't sure how Kitara would react to this seeing as it was fairly hard for her to believe at first, until that night in the lab. She could still hear the infant in her mind, a truly confusing and twisted occurance. Kitara Kata "You mean a sapling or something?" Kitara just... was NOT catching on. She continued to watch her sister, lowering the Fourth Waller in her arms just enough so she could peer eye-level at Sevy. Katrina seemed more interested in him then the cat-girl did. Rabid Jigglypuff Rabid flinched, definetly not expecting such a daft understanding of the situation. "NO, no no! Not a sappling! I mean... well maybe, I don't know.." She seemed torn between what she believed was true and she believed just couldn't be. "Listen to me." She began sternly, gesturing her hands in an eccentric manner though her tone sunk to a whisper yet again. "I saw them... with pots... and a baby, covered in dirt." She waited again, hoping this would actually sink in. "A REAL BABY." Pointing to the bundle of life in her sibling's arms. "BABY." Kitara Kata The necromancer's ears twitched at the tone of Rabid's voice, her tail giving a few passes behind her as she listened. Her eyes then widdened as she looked down at Katrina after the gesture. "... A baby?" She blinked, her craning foreward in mild disbelief. "That plant is going to have limbs and everything like Katrina?" She stared, not sure of what else to say.
The puppy however seemed to know this all along for some strange reason... like she could smell it or sense it somehow. Maybe it was because she was a baby, and babies seemed to know things like that without realizing it. Making grabby gestures towards the plant, she was kept out of reach by her mother. Rabid Jigglypuff "I dunno... I DUNNO!" Rabid threw up her hands into the air in exasperation. "Sheesh." She sighed at her own predicament, though it wasn't much of a problem at all. This was her resonsibility and she could do it, she could properly care for this... whatever she was reering. "We better skidaddle my darlin's, so ends the tour!" With a grab at her purse she waited for Kitara to follow. "I mean, I'm authorized to be here..." The demoness gave a sly grin. "But you know, not really at this hour." Kitara Kata Kitara shifted the baby's weight in her arms, much to Katrina's dismay. She whinned and reached for Sevy, wanting a playmate but the reaper just patted her back to try and comfort her and followed her sister.
"Okay... though I'm awefully surprised at how little you know about what your caring for. They didn't tell you?" Rabid Jigglypuff "Nope!" Rabid chirped another reply, giving Sevy a quick glance over to make sure he was ok. "Just shoved a pot in my hands the first day!" She chuckled a bit at this, holding the door open for the two as they exited. "G'niiiight Sevy! Be a good boy." She called out quietly, a little embarassed she was acting like that towards a plant infront of her sister. Then again, she had a feeling this wasn't an ordinary plant. Shutting off the lights, she shut the door behind her and linked arms with Kitara as they strode down the hall and out the door.

Quote: The room was silent save for the quiet scratching of a ballpoint pen as Rabid went about scribbling notes into her daily logs. The flicker of fluorescent lights overhead made her pause, almost a reminder for her of where she was, seeing as she often blocked out all else while working. That was when she actually got herself to do some work, of course. A pile of paper stood out from the otherwise blank slate of her work table, visible out of the corner of her eye. "Gotta do that crap too." She sighed aloud. Her lab station was silent. Too silent. She could only assume everyone else had already called it a day.
"See? I'm so dedicated Sevy. I stay overtime just for you." The tech mumbled to herself before resuming chewing on the cap on her pen, deep in thought. Uennie ___Uennie covered her mouth, stifling a hiccup slightly. Scraping echoed off the ceiling as she dragged her feet down the hallway. The silence in the laboratory was almost deafening. Where it becomes so quiet, it feels like your head is going to explode at any moment from the pressure. Those were the times you either needed make noise yourself or find someone to make it for you. Unfortunately, the plant didn't even rustle a leaf despite the botanist's mental plea. The plant seemed to look at her almost annoyed. Entertain yourself you brat. The imagined words had pierced Uennie's mind in the lab. You could do it when you were five, you can do it now.
___Stopping in the hallway, she groaned and dragged her fingers down her face, stretching it out before letting go and feeling her face sink back into its normal features. She slumped, pouting and not at all satisfied with the long day she had worked. Nothing had happened, no one cared. It was the same day in and day out. At least in the flower shop she met interesting people, even if some of them were jerks. A mumbling rolled along the walls to greet Uennie's ears. Frowning, she shuffled over to the source and peered through the doorway. Fuschia hair, it was the new researcher. Neat. Uenoh'ai covered her mouth to yawn before walking in. ___"So, fellow co-worker. How goes it in the salt mines?" Rabid nearly leaped out of her skin when the co-worker entered her lab area with little warning. The tech had been lost in thought again and admittedly falling asleep, one of her greatest talents it seemed. "Huh?" It took a moment for the question to register, the fuschia-haired female removing the pen cap from her teeth and sitting up straight in her chair so as to make herself look a little more presentable. "Ah, well... same as yesturday." She responded unenthusiastically, before adding. "And the day before that. And that. And that one too."
Pausing at her own comical existence, the possibility occurred to her that this other worker could be checking up on her working progress. Not an entirely impossible idea since this 'Uennie' character (She made sure to scope out the others as often as possible. Definetly not below snooping!) had seniority in this place. "I mean uh, the plant is doing well. Even sprouted a bit."Uennie ___Uennie smiled broadly and looked closer at the plant. She quirked her eyebrows and scratched her chin mockingly. She took a step back and crossed her arms. Stepping forward again she bent lower and poked at the dirt of the plant, giving it a thorough 'inspection'. She charaded a frown, wiggling her eyebrows again before clearing her throat and raising her voice. ___"Very nice miss. However I do believe you have confused a Cannabis plant with your specimen." Uenoh'ai teased cheerfully. Swinging her arms she pulled up a chair and scooted over. "Boring isn't it? I was about to go home soon, we've all been pulling late hours." She scratched the side of her nose for a moment and smiled at the woman. "Enjoying the ride?" Rabid's expression changed a thousand times as she watched Uennie 'inspect' Sevy, narrowing her eyes behind black shades patricularly when she prodded the potting soil. She spent hard minutes arranging that stuff!
Ok not really, but she felt entitled to glare for the split-second she did.
With the mention if the cannablis plant, she nearly burst into full-out laughter. "Alright I give, you found my stash." She snickered a response after it was apparent Uennie wasn't here to ridicule her lack of results. "Ah, it's not that bad. Let me tell ya, I get my 8 hours of sleep a day." A mischevious smirk as she arched her back for a stretch. "How's Esprit?"Uennie ___"Oh, you know." Uennie said casually, "Still a plant. Very exciting. Yes, she does this wonderful thing where she soaks up all the water I give her and then demands more. I wonder sometimes, is this how a parent feels?" She laughed and reached into her laboratory coat pocket and pulled out a flat little tin. Popping the lid open she sucked a candy into her mouth and made a face, the shock of the taste making her tear up as it assaulted her taste buds.
___"My dog will be missing me soon. She has dreadful seperation anxiety. Would you like one?" She lifted the tin to Rabid's nose and smiled, cracking the candy between her left back teeth. The pungent taste increased as the concentrated inside shattered and slowly began to melt on her tongue. "Mmmm." Uenoh'ai made a satisfied sucking noise as she wore the candy down in her mouth. "So good, I almost never eat them even though I have them." "I feel bad taking one then" Rabid smiled and waved a hand to kindly reject her offer, never being one for non-baked sweets. She chuckled lightheartedly at Uennie's cynical summation of her plant's uneventful existence, sympathetic in the feeling. "I'm more of a cat person, though all my animals live outside. I don't really like the dependancy of dogs." Rabid paused for a moment to think about this, the baby covered in soil and the plant that was sitting happily under a heatlamp on the table opposite of the two of them. She was too tired to think of that now.
"What time is it?" She asked, removing her shades for a moment to rub her tired eyes.Uennie ___Uennie shrugged and closed the tin with her fingers. Sliding it back into her coat she pulled out a small pocketwatch and clicked it open. The hinges swung the little round door open and the intricate face ticked back at her boldly. The hour hand stood firmly to the top right, the minute hand seemd to waver near a halfway point before giving in and going over. The second hand moved cheerfully, undeterred by the seeming feud breathed into these stationary objects. ___"Three Fourty-Five." Uenoh'ai smiled at Rabid. She flicked the door on the watch and pocketed it again. The muscles under her eyes ached, she sensed dark bags would haunt her in the morning. Exhaustion was quickly catching up to her as she stood up and wavered, pushing the chair back to its original position. "I should leave you now. Be sure to turn off all the lights and lock up your lab!" She folded her hands behind her back and smiled before walking out, wiggling her fingers behind her as a small wave. Uennie yawned loudly, not bothering to cover it this time, and she exited the room. Rabid smiled, shifting her chair backwards as she prepared to set the lab to rest for the night. "Will do!" She called back with as much enthusiasm she could muster for such a late hour. "3:45, if my head didn't throb from lack of sleep I would've thought she meant PM!" She grunted to Sevy as she passed the peaceful sprout, picking him up on the way back to set him in a safe place. "Night Sevy-poo!" A few spritzes of water before she left, snatching up her things and locking up.

March 1st, 2006 2:02am I had a startling discovery when I checked on Sevy today. He had GROWN. It's amazing, isn't it? I never thought I could manage taking care of myself, let alone something seemingly simple as a plant. Inevitably I suppose my efforts have been rewarded? It's the very healthy beginnings of a flytrap stalk, still young and tender. Accurate measurements of it's height and diameter will be included with this report. I'm very excited over this. Finally I can tell if I've been doing something right! Sevy will be kept on a 12/12 light to dark schedule with variations only for suitability purposes to ensure he remains in a tropical, humid environment. Perhaps fly feeding can begin once the stalk grows a bit larger. ... But enough of the technical stuff, I've gotta go show Uennie!!! ~ Rabid 5th Lab technician

Rabid Jigglypuff The clinking of a spoon against ceramic resonated within the stark walls of the facility's coffeeroom, the smell of of the certain beverage wafting from the countertop machine that was busy percolating. Rabid stirred the contents of her coffee mug patiently, humming quietly as usual as she turned to sit at a nearby eating area. "I know you'll say no but I feel bad not asking. Coffee?" She smiled and sat down in a seat beside her sibling, whom she'd snuck in once again while no one was paying attention. Sevy sat neatly on the same tabletop, joining the ladies for their relaxing chat as a vacation from the lab tech's work station. His stalk appeared to be growing stronger, almost completely upright on it's own accord. Definite improvement.
Kitara Kata Kitara smiled sadly, knowing she'd probably dissapoint her sister if she said no to her offer. "Sure, I guess some black coffee wouldn't hurt too much." Even though she knew she couldn't taste it, sometimes she could imagine by how it smelled. Coffee didn't smell that bad, actually.
She had sat down in one of the plastic chairs inside the small coffee room, shifting slightly in her seat nervously as the canine toddler wiggled on her lap with her pink kitty plushie dangling in her chubby arms.
"I see Sevy grew?" The necromancer inquired, crimson eyes looking at the plant sitting on her table. Her head tilted curiously. "So what is it going to be?" Her ears gave a curious twitch, bobbing the top hat that rested on top of them. It was a rather odd looking plant... Though she had a hard time deciphering what type by scent.
Katrina had woken up from her little afternoon nap only about 20 minutes prior, so she was still a little sleepy. Her eys blinked slowly as she slumped in her caretaker's arms with an uncomfortable look on her face.
Rabid Jigglypuff "Yup, he did." Rabid nodded as she poured the mug for her sister, filling hers with some cream from the fridge. "Hells if I know what he's going to turn out as." She laughed and handed Kitara her mug before retreating to the counter near the coffeemachine again. "He's a venus flytrap, I know that much. I was told so from the beginning." Reaching into an overhead cupboard, she pulled down a box and rummaged through it. "You see the beginning of his first stalk, there." She pointed as she replaced the box and wandered back over to the small group, crouching down to offer a cookie to the sleepy pup in Kitara's arms. "I know he ain't that exciting," She mumbled as she took a seat again. "But this is a new thing for me, yanno? This taking care of something deal." Sheepishly, she turned her attention to stirring her mug.
Kitara Kata "Venus flytrap?" Kitara repeated, taking the mug her sister gave her and giving a small "thank you" before looking back down at the plant. "Well, it hasn't been very long since last I was here... you must be taking good care of it." She took a sip of the black liquid before looking up at Rabid and smiling. "I'm really proud of you."
And she was, honestly. She had never expected the chaos demon to actually like doing something like this... afterall, she was much more of a demon then Kitara.
The puppy blinked and looked at the cookie, sniffing the air and catching it's scent before immediantly perking up. A cookie! Ohhhh how she loved sweet things. Wagging her tail she gave a fanged grin and took the offered treat in both clawed hands. Immediantly half of it went into her mouth and she started to chew. Chewing hard stuff was something new to her, so she was taking her time.
"What do you say, Katrina?" The reaper asked, looking down at her.
"Uhhh..." Katrina paused. "Gewd foo!" With another grin and a wag of her tail she started to eat the cookie again with a crumb-covered maw.
Rabid Jigglypuff Rabid shook her head in disbelief at the sugary-cuteness that was Katrina. She watched the pup down half the treat and softly patted her on the head. "Slowly, or you'll choke." She warned the youngster with care without consciously realizing her civil action. "Aw, thanks." She grinned like a goof to her sister at the compliment, wiggling in her seat as a testament to how pleased that made her feel. "You watch." She started, pointing a finger to Kitara's adopted child. "When Sevy gets older you'll have a playmate! He'll be fun to hang around, you can be friends!" Rabid nodded in agreement with herself before tentatively adding afterwards. "Just... don't play rough. He's fragile." A mocking pout was followed by a comical hug of the plant's terracotta pot.
Kitara Kata Kitara had just sighed at her daughter's behavior. Though it wasn't like she had spouted a curse word or anything, so for now she let it slide. The little thing was still only a toddler afterall.
The mutt grinned at the pat, pausing from her cookie to lick the crumbs from her maw. She listened to her auntie, some of the words registering in her tiny brain. "Frieeenda?" Blinking her large brown eyes, her gaze turned to Sevy and her ears twitched. "Frienda don move." Katrina asked more then stated with a confused look on her face.
The demoness meanwhile bounced the child on her leg slightly while sipping her coffee. "Do you know how long it'll be before he grows into a... child or... infant or whatever?" She asked, cat-like eyes going to her sibling.
Rabid Jigglypuff Rabid smiled and nodded back to her canine neice, pointing a finger to the shoot growing from the soft soil in the planter. "He's sleeping right now. When he wakes up he'll starting growing big just like you do, sono he'll be as big as Katrina." The demoness gave a nod before turning her attention back to Kitara. "No idea." She reached over the boldly prodded the soil around the flytrap shoot as she had many times before to check soil conditions. "Doesn't seem like a kid will pop outta this thing anytime soon though." Rabid gave a laugh that held a sense of nervousness. What kinda monster would this thing shoot out one day on the unsuspecting woman?
Kitara Kata "Seeping?" Katrina inquired, her ears perking while her head tilted. "Wake up and pay?" She looked at her aunt again before remembering she had half of a cookie to finish. "... Afer cookie." Nothing came before food. So once again she started to nibble on her treat in contentment.
"Well, I suppose that's a good thing in a sense. I wouldn't want Katrina hurting him accidently or anything." Kitara said before sipping the liquid that held no taste.
Rabid Jigglypuff Rabid fell silent as she sipped at her coffee, pondering much in the quiet between them that was only interrupted by the munching sounds of Katrina's new teeth. "That would suck." She mused and reached into her labcoat pocket to produce a cookie she had cleverly snuck there faster than anyone would've been able to see. Nibbling the end of it, she finally broke the silence. "We dont hafta think about that now anyways." Holding the mug in one hand, she idly reached over and picked at Sevy's stem with the other to manicure the leaves a touch.
Kitara Kata The tiny hellspawn nodded and finished her coffee, the heat and bold taste having caused her no hesitation. She wanted to say something and her mouth opened partially to speak it... but then she simply closed it and shook her head. "Well, I guess I should head off. I don't wanna be caught in here without a pass or whatever and get dragged out."
Katrina finished her treat and licked the crumbs from her furry hands, then her maw. Mmmm... cookie.
Rabid Jigglypuff Rabid rolled her eyes behind her black shades and moved to get up, picking up Kitara's mug along with her own to deposit into the sink. "Oh please." She snorted at the idea of her being dragged out by security. For one thing, in her entire time there she had yet to see one member of security at all. Secondly, if there indeed was security personel monitoring the facility she'd be more likely to get into trouble for not doing any work during the day first. At least that's what she figured. "I'll walk you out." She smiled and picked up Sevy, escorting the two out of the lunchroom. "Thanks for dropping by again, Sevi and I enjoy the company."
Kitara Kata Kitara smirked and adjusted the canine on her hip as she stood and followed her sister. "It's no problem. If you ever want me to come over while your here just lemme know... it's not like I really do anything besides watch Katrina."
Speaking of which, the toddler was frowning as they were leaving. Chubby arms reached out to the cookie-giving demon. "Hug." She liked hugs and demanded them when she was leaving someone.
Rabid Jigglypuff "Oh, oh!" Not to disappoint the youngster, Rabid rushed over and gave a hug to Katrina. "Bye bye sweetheart, take care of your mum." She smiled and watched the two as they left.

March 15th, 2006 12:52am After some stimulation... I was returning Sevy back to his place in my lab when I noticed he had gotten much larger than I had remembered. Upon fine measurements I discovered that he had indeed grown to a very impressive height! He now has a well-developed flytrap head and a strong support stalk. Light schedule will be adjusted slightly and a diet of live flies and a supplimentary glucose solution will be administered twice a day following periods of light accordingly. I'm very excited! I've shown all those other wimpy techs that I can grow a plant as good, if not better than anyone! Ha! Scheduled activities, dietary information and physiological parameters will be included with this report. ~ Rabid 5th Lab technician
