So are you guys into writing songs? How many have you written (Either alone or with your band(s))?

I've got several songs rolling around in my head, unfortunately I'm not as naturally talented at lyric writing as i am at composing, so they're all instrumental for now.

I don't really write many songs. I usually just happen to find something that sounds cool, and build on that. The only time i've written a good song was with my band, when me and the other guitarist wrote an awesome song.

Well I have good news. I finally got a burst of creativity. That's right, the Ash-man has finally written some good lyrics to match up with one of his instrumental metal songs. Wooo mee.

Um, me and my friends have written dozens of riffs and randmo lyrics, but we're yet to put them together. My other band, we got about 4-5 songs.

We were just putzing around and came out with a sweet friggin song, but it was deemed to repetitive and throw away.

I ususally play around alot in Guitar Pro 5 and make up little MIDI songs and stuff.

For my personal and my close friend's enjoyment I make acoustic songs, the Metal in general I leave it for my band, but the Thrash I stored it in memory for some other time.

in both my bands combined, i have 5 or 6 songs, but on my own i have 3. those r fully written instrumental parts. i write everything but drums and lyrics. i have started lyrics on 2 songs.

I write all of my own songs and whatnot.Its very stimualting and a stress relief.

I am good with lyrics and good with making guitar riffs but i cant seem to fit them together.Alone i have written around 40 songs but only around 15 good enough to play in public.

I have written many sets of lyrics and have put them to music, I don't call the group im in a "band" though. We all contribute and play many different instruments, we are all equal and they write as many songs as i do.

Haha I feel so inefficient now. I've officially only finished writing the lyrics to 2 songs! Though I've got countless numbers of riffs ready to jump on to paper, I very rarely have the inspiration to sit down and write lyrics. Normally, inspiration happens after stressful times for me, but boy have there been alot of those lately.
