Description: Katherine, or better known as Kelly cannot be considered a skinny girl by any. Her over all body structure is slightly thick set, but with a set of muscules to be packed under that olive skin of hers. Alas with lack of her mothers genes affecting her Kelly took to her fathers side of the family. She has a slightly long torso and shorter legs, though her wider hips help even out the shape. Once again due to her fathers dominat scottish genetics she was cursed with a torrent of brassy red hair growing out the top of her head. She usually pulls this messy mane into a bun that balances precariously on the back of her neck. While other times when appropriate, usually in battle, she lets it down in a mass around her shoulders.Dark thick brows hang above bright eyes. Her eyes take on a crushed Ochre color, with a rim of brown surrounding the iris. With hair down and eyes burning Katherine often takes on the look of a mad woman. Even in the old days among the Ton Katherine was considered odd in looks. As far as bodily marks go Katherine has a scar starting from her navel traveling up in a curve till it touches the middle of her right breast. This nasty bit of body decor was caused in one of her first battles. A bad mistake that nearly cost the young lass her life, yet lucky enough her guts didn't come tumbling out. A smaller, yet thicker scar criss crosses the larger scar. This one barely reaches 3 inches, but is around 2 centimeters thick. This particular scar was caused when Katherine was only the young age of 12. WHen in the momentary prescence of Two Ton John he tried to cut open her chest to "see if her heart was as black as her mothers." Luckily the fat fool didn't press hard enough down to break the breast plate and simply left the young girl with a nasty scar.

Weapons: One could consider Katherines booming voice and scaving insults a weapon in its own. Her voice, where she earned her name Cannon Buchannon, with it's volume and articulated thoughts behind it are a dangerous thing to contend with. As far as physical weapons go Katherines favorite object is the occasional cigarette rolling between her lips. It's the perfect on hands object to use when burning some rakes eyes out, or just to leave a mark. More over one of her favorite things is an old Spanish Rapier, obtained by some black measures. Yet there is the extra pistol tucked neatly into her sash, just for some extra measures.

Background: (EDIT THIS LATER :/ redo..)) Kate's background isn't as dark and terror filled as most pirates records, yet the pirating blood did run in her veins. To better understand Kates intricate background you have to back track to the young womans parents. Kate's own father hailed from the Highlands, yet moved down to the border and his family was later granted a title with land. Being the second born son Mr. Buchannon took on the route any second son would and took up a career in the military. His direction took him straight up the ranks of the Navy till he secured the job of Admiral. Alas slightly later his older brother died in a hunting accident and he inherited the title of Viscount of Ashford. Buchannon did not pause for his political life but kept with the navy, enjoying a few more years of life at sea.

Now Kate's mother is the darker side of the family. A young Sicilian woman who grew up in poverty and despair until she posed as a cabin boy and started working on ships. As the young girl grew she took on the fierce persona as Dragon of the Sea. As Morgan Aeollo climbed the ranks of dastardly pirates she gained a crew of her own, and eventually her own ship. Morgan sailed the sea for a number of years killing and pillaging and taking everything she missed as a child. Eventually karma struck and her great ship was torn upon the rocks one night, marooning Morgan on a small strip of sand. Surely death would be upon this black souled woman. Yet after just a few days one of the British royal ships came upon the strip of land and rescued the Pirate woman. The cunning woman posed as a young lady of high birth whose ship had been lost in a storm. Yet while under this disguise she was slowly wooed by the large hulk of Alec Buchannon. Eventually the Dragon of the sea gave up her life of toil and trouble and married the bashful young viscount. Yet Morgan kept the secrets of her past just that, a secret. She grew to be a favorite among the English Ton, being seen as an exotic italian woman from over seas. She replaced her old title of Dragon of the sea with Dragon of the Ton. Eventually the two settled in a country estate near the sea and there they produced two children. The first a dutiful son taking after his fathers career in the Navy. The second a wild red haired daughter, Katherine.
Now Katherines childhood was far from uneventfull. She was given lessons by many governesses, driving most away within a few months. It was only her brother who was able to really make her sit down and actually learn. She was also allowed to take fencing lessons along with her brother. She became a quick learner at the sport and often played in mock battles with some boy neighbors, beating the hides of them. Despite her schooling and extra activities most of her young childhood was spent at the sea near her house , swimming in it, running along side it, and eventually sailing out in it. Her parents tried their best to raise a proper young miss but Katherine always had a slight wild side to her. "It's the scottish in her..." Her father used to joke. Though her mother would just shake her head. Probably from her tainted genes she had passed down that passion to her daughter. At one point in Katherines young life she was actually kidnapped by a small rank pirate by the name of Two Ton John. An old rival of her mother from the pirating days. Two Ton John had a slight grudge against Morgan for when she plucked not only his eye from his head, but carved off some of his lower areas. Now John had found out about old Morgan's new life and who her new husband was. So in his head the perfect revenge was formed, plus with the benefit of a fit load of money. Thus Two Ton John got ahold of young Katherine and tried Ransoming her off, though with the second intention of killling her in the end. At one point in the waiting process he tried to cut open Katherine's chest to "see if her heart was as black as her mothers." Soon a few good ships from the british navy, at command of her father, were searching for the young kidnapped damsel. Alas for Two Ton John it was Morgan Aello's old ship that found the b*****d first. Katherine then saw the secret of her mothers past, right down to the point when Morgan shot old Two Ton right between the eyes. Katherine grew estatit and swore to undertake her mothers old title and grow to be on of the fiercest female bucaneers among the sea, to brand her name along with Mary Read and Anne Bonny. Though Morgan grew very worried over this and tried to keep Katherine on the good straight path of society. Katherine kept her mothers secret and continued on trying to be a good daughter, even up until her 17th birthday when she was presented to society. Though to say the least her coming out wasn't well meet. The loud mouth wilded eyed young daughter of the Viscount of Ashcroft wasn't exactly up to standards. Her crude behavior was viewed as vulgar and quiet unlady like. She wouldn't play coy, she didn't keep up with fashion, and the little chit never wanted to talk about the weather! her gossip turned to different things. Like recent pirate attacks, or perhaps the economy. Not very good subjects for a young budding miss. Eventually after a year of being in society with little to no marriage proposals Katherine decided it was time to take a different path. She took off for the docks, shedding her hair and taking on the guise of a young cabin boy, much like her mother once did. She left a quick note to her mother, and an equally long one to her brother. And thus a new chapter in Katherines life was started. To cover up their daughters scandal, and still her secret life, her mother and brother quickly claimed Katherine was away visiting distant family in Italy. Her father, ever dull took to this idea. So thus Katherine's been sailing and navigating the seas ever since, passing into spinsterhood according to English society. 25 and not married! really the nerve that child has. Her brotehr in the meantime has risen in the ranks of the Kings Grand Navy and is constantly on the search for his sister. At least once a year Katherine comes home to visit and be the dutiful daughter, attending a few partys for the English season and just as quickly disapearing into the great blue.

Extra Information: As she grew her father taught her tricks of navigation, incase she would ever be adrift at sea. He taught her to follow the stars and any other means necessary. She uses these skills today to be employed as a navigator for ships. Her true dream is to own a ship of her own and ultimately inherit her mothers name.
