Background: Link was once a part of the British army where he rose the ranks at a rather high speed. He achieved the rank Of Commodore at the age of 18 but soon lost it when he was falsely accused of treason and was sentenced to death.

On the day of his execution, Link escaped and evaded the guards. He left Britain and became a drifter. Living in poverty he was on his last legs. He entered a bar where he met the man who would give him new life and a new sense for adventure on the high seas. This man was none other than our own Captain Brand. At that moment Link swore he would follow the captain to the bowels of hell if he so requested. And his loyalty has never been under question.
