Though not technically yaoi in any REAL way...
I was wondering what you guys thought of the voice actors in Kingdom Hearts 2 versus Kingdom Hearts 1.
The only two voices that bothered me at all were Cid and Arieth... And the saddest news is both the VAs from KH2 have been cast as the same characters in Advent Children...
Sigh.
Though in Arieth's defence, her VA changed since the last game. In KH1 it was Mandy Moore, I believe...
Oh well, I suppose.
But regardless, opinions?
Hate a voice? Love a voice? Miss a voice?
Is this thread legit?

Haley Joel Osment - I've always loved for Sora. ^^ He has good emotion to his voice when he talks. x3 I've loved him since the first game.
David Gallagher - DID A GREAT JOB for Riku. x3 His voice was just the right amout of deep, dark yet caring-ness, and he aswell had great emotion.
Jesse McCartney - I hate him, I hate his voice. He did Roxas NO JUSTICE. Dx Heck. Toby Macguire could have done a better job. >>;;
*****Sadly. I don't remember any of the other cast people. But:
Kairi: Too obnoxious and squeaky-like
Leon: Okay.
Cloud: DOn't exactly remember. D: -must start over-
Hayner: Sounded too much like Roxas for my taste.
Pence: I like his voice x3 It suited his character.
Olette: I love her voice. Why? It doesn't remind me of Kairi.
Namine: Not bad, a bit too similar to Kairi, though.
Cid: GROSS. His voice actor should be fed to squirrels. D:
Yuffie: I like her voice; suits her character.
Aerith: WHY OH WHY DID THEY CHANGE IT?!?!!? DDDD: -sulks in corner-
Ansem: I don't like his new voice either. Its deep, sure, thats a plus, but. His new voice is too soft for someone like him. -referring to all three Ansems, since they all had same voice in KH1-

Aeriths' voice actor was definitly better in the first one this new girl sounds totally and compleatly uninterested in what she's doing and I can also say the same for Squall and Sephiroth. I tell you these people better have done a good job in Advent Children or I'll beat them to death. D:
Clouds' voice actor on the other hand is very good. His voice might be a tad to angry for Advent Children though because Cloud is suppose to sound emo not angry in that but I'm sure he can change the emotion in his voice for it. No wonder Clouds voice actor did a good job he was in a big soap opera called general hospital my mom use to watch that all the time. xD
and I love Soras' voice too and Riku and yuffie and... who else... well anyway I hated Cids' farmer extrodinare voice! D:

I really like the fact that Haley Joel Osment grew up, which just helped Sora sound as though he had aged, too. Though I think it sounds like Sora aged alot more than just a year and a half...
Or that may just be me.
But I honestly adored Cloud's VA, and because of that am desperately waiting for AC...
Well... MORE desperately waiting.
I'm just glad Cid and Aerith have very small roles in AC. Very small.
Thank God.
Sephiroth's VA fit him, though he had his low points... But I'm wondering if it was wise to cast the same VA for AC...
Mostly because Sephy in AC's ******** psycho, essentially, and Sephy in KH/2 is very calm, collected, and the like.
Y'know? I'm wondering if that guy'll suite Post-God Sephy.
We shall see. We shall see.

I must say I didn't like Aerith's new voice actor, nor Cid.
Cid, deifinitely bugged me. I laughed, but I ahted the voice actor they chose. *shudders*
Aerith's was too...calm and nice. I don't know the first one was WAY better. She didn't sound like such a wimp, and loser.

I miss Ansem's totally deep, sexy voice. When he says, "Darkness is the heart's true essence," I just wanna fall into a pile of mush. I wish they could have kept it, because that was the only reason I loved him.
It's probably the only thing the previous game can hold over this one (besides Cid's voice).

I though ALL the voice acting was great, better than the first even ! O:
and Personally I liked Cid's voice [it may have been a litte too country] but Cid has always had a southern accent to me dating back to Final Fantasy VII ! O:
And Steve Butron as Cloud ! I though I dies and when to heaven ! <3

Sora- Love it! Who doesn't?! It fits his character and he sings well,too. 4laugh heart
Riku: *faints from appiness* I just want to kiss David Gallagher and hug him! His voice fit perfectly for him! heart 3nodding
Roxas: Strangely..I liked his voice. I thought it fit him and was cool. wink
Kairi: Don't even get me started.. stare
Leon: I liked it. It sounds like the way Leon should sound like.
Cloud: I...Love....his voice! It is sooooo sexy and it fits his character! heart
Hayner: No opinion..though he sounds like that kid from The Weekenders. XD
Pence: I like his voice. It was adorably. XP
Olette: I like her voice. So cute and yet her voice has a hint of masculine, tough girl,too.
Namine: I liked her voice it was kind, yet mysterious just like her character. And it wasn't Kairi.
Cid: No comment. Why? Because I didn't like either of the game's voicing for Cid.
Aerith: I hate it! Her voice sounds like she's a robot with no emotion! I HATE IT!
Ansem: I kinda liked it..not much..
Sephiroth: I thought it was okay..it was to calm and collected though.. confused

Cid I greatly disliked...
Leon could have been better (and what the f*** did they do to his hair!?)
Yuffie was good.
Yen Sid was good.
Diz was good.
