The effect works well with the Cult of Rakdos in flavor terms. Cults are all about brainwashing it members to do it's bidding. I think it has the potential to do well, but I'm still not sure.

I think that it would be pretty easy to empty your hand in a black/red deck stare .

Otherwise, just play one with nothing.

has any one even gottin rakdos the difiler card? i do the effect sort of sucks but at the same time its really good. here it is.

when ever rakdos the difiler attacks you sacrifice half the non-demon permenents u control rounded up.

alright but the second effect is pretty good

when ever rakdos the difiler deals combat damage to the opponent sacrifices half the non-demon permenents he or she controls

now i talked to brendon(card shop owner) and he says that once when u have rakdos u pretty much dont need anymore cards 3nodding but im not sure if thats a good thing question

I was reading some kind of review about the Rakdos and the author said that he found it Ironic that to use the Hellbent machanic to its full effect one must construct the deck carfully to specifically use the mechanic, or something like that it was really late at night and the artical had a lot of words

Mark Rosewater (if I remembered correctly) said that it was ironic how Rakdos builds will require immense thought when building comes to the board. It contradicts the guilds storyline/background, though, seeing as how the Cult of Rakdos is all about acting before you think.

The irony is a sweet one, I might say. An unthinking cult with a complex thinking co-ordinator (being the deckbuilder, of course). Jagged Poppets, too, help out the Rakdos. I mean, a 3/4 for 3 ain't too bad (gotta love idiomatic expressions). Plus, he'll help keep your hand drained, and if he gets through, theirs too.

As far as Hellbent cards go, the most powerful must be:
- Rakdos Pit Dragon
- Infernal Tutor
- Anthem of the Rakdos

Some may not agree with the last, but it's all about strategy. You attack with a whole load of creatures, they all get +2/+0 and ping you for 1 (at that time). Then, when combat damage is resolving, if it's useful, you play Ignoray Bliss. Hellbent on the Anthem triggers, and you're creatures do double damage, without double-damaginc you.

The Dragon and Tutor are pretty much self-explanatory.

Rakdos pit dragon has been added to my 1.5 burn deck for shits and giggles, and because I thought it would be funny to have a non wall creature.

Holy crap he kicks a**.

The fact that he only costs four makes him an ideal replacement for Funace whelp and Dragon Whelp in cube draft.
