YAAAAAY!!! Diru might be coming back to America this Summer!!!! They will be performing with Korn and other bands on the Family Values Tour(FVT) ^____^
Well it is still in the maybe zone, but if they do plan it out I will definetely go! And hell yeah since the tickets will be $9.99 heck, I will just go and see Diru and maybe like 2 other bands since I'm not too fond of most FVT bands. Remember though, it may or may not happen, but stil keep your eyes peeled for more info.
more info at these links:Dir en grey as featured artist on Billboard.com 4/17MTV articlesome things in the billboard article is sorta not cool like the Hot topic thing or anime thing, but people don't get all bitchy >.< just be happy it's Diru!!!

I'm so happy that they might come back. If I'm at my dad's in Colorado when they do, and they come to LA, I'm totally flying out just for the concert xP My parents think I'm crazy...oh well! ^.^
Ya, I've seen a couple American articles on Diru that aren't the greatest, and I don't understand why they can't spell it right! In the first article I saw, it was Dir en Gray...>> Don't they have people who are supposed to check for these sorts of things?!
At least there's no word of Gackt coming (is a Gackt hater xP)

BTW, you can tell MTV what you thought about the article. I complained about the name misspelling, and I think everyone else should to so they'll get off their lazy butts and check their facts. >>
And after rifling through my magazines, I found the article after the Avalon/Wiltern shows in Alternative Press that pissed me off.
DIR EN GRAY Withering to Death 3 (Buy Used)
Cradle of HIM?
Now five albums old, Dir en grey have been one of Japan's bigger rock bands for nearly a decade, with a glam sense of style and a postmodern tendency to jump giddily between genres. Frontman Kyo sings like he has an iPod full of HIM and Cradle of Filth tunes, alternating from undead growls to swelling romantic harmonies while his bandmates pile on the erratic riffs and haphazard keyboard stabs. Even with lyrics handy, it's usually unclear whether he's using English or Japanese-a sudden outburst of gibberish in "Kodoku Ni Shisu, Yueni Kodoku," for example, isn't so much suprising as hilarious. Still, like most of this album, the groove monster "Jesus Christ R N'R" is easy to mock, but harder to get out of your head.
>> Giddily? Keyboard stabs? This article just kind of disgusted me. I mean, really. Have we ever known Diru to be "giddy?" ...Don't answer that (thinks of many Diru vids) Not on stage anyhow (if you exclude the drinking contest between Die and Kaoru). But comparing them to HIM and Cradle of Filth just kind of irked me >> Bastards.

I kind of dont like it when they compare Dir en grey to American bands, because you just can't do that. It's really really difficult to find an american band that would really seem like they match up to Dir en grey o_o but maybe I'm just obsessed? I think they should tour with Wednesday 13 xD; between the whole of Die and Pig being friends, and I like both their music

I don't think that just because two bands speak different languages, or come from different places, it should be taboo to compair them. I think Korn and Dir en grey would do a wonderful job touring together though! XD

-Blind Imagination- I don't think that just because two bands speak different languages, or come from different places, it should be taboo to compair them. I think Korn and Dir en grey would do a wonderful job touring together though! XD mmm the fact that they speak two different languages isn't really why. . . now the fanservice >_> I've not seen that a lot in other bands xD; though it barely happens anymore. It's like, nowadays if it happens when you're there, head out and buy a lotto ticket .-.
