In a large town, people were out on the streets and in the markets, usual daily life for them going on, most of them stopping once they saw a stranger clad in a black robe walking toward the temple at the edge of town, just before the forest. The man's tanned face had young features, looking to be in his early twenties, the feature that stood out most was his crimson eyes, his face framed by his long raven black hair that matched his robes. The young man entered the temple, a soft hymn filling the large stone temple, the bottom of his robes stopped swaying as his steps did, his eyes curiously wandering about the large room, finally spotting an elderly man clad in the temple's robes, the man's balding head covered by a hood from the robe, his bright blue eyes searching through a large book set infront of him. The stranger walked over to the priest and smiled softly, patting his shoulder softly. "Been a while Father." The stranger's voice was deep and soft, like two pieces of silk rubbing together. The man jumped and looked up at the man, giving a huff as he turned back to the book. "Confound it Marth! You should know not to surprise an old man like me!" The elderly priest smiled and stood up, wrapping his arms around the young man. "It's been nearly thirty years, and you haven't aged a bit!" He said, and with a small grin spoke again. "You should teach me how you do it." Marth shook his head and laughed, returning the hug to the priest, pulling back as his eyes moved down to the book, it's pages tinted yellow with age. "I see you got it, that's good....Anything interesting?" The elder shook his head and gave a soft sigh, "No my boy, but you should go get some rest, we can talk later tonight." Marth blinked and nodded, smiling once more as he turned and began to head out to find an inn.

*Taking long strides down the cold damp streets, Jess gazed around the place as her golden eyes examined her surroundings. It was her first time in a place like this. Her orange hair tied up into a pony tail as two long strands dangled from either side of her head. A scar ran down her face as her face was tattooed from birth. She glanced around a little as she watched her footing; she didn't want to step on any drunken brawlers who had passed out in the middle of the street after having there daily fill.
She brought her hand to her face as her slender finger brushed a strand of her hair away from her eyes. She had then noticed that there was an inn in view, she wasn't that tired, but it could be miles away until she could find another inn. It would be wise to stop in and rest. And besides, she could just leave in the morning. Her ears twitched slightly as the cool breeze blew towards past her, her tail swayed from side to side in a steady motion.
Stopping dead in her tracks, she came to the door of the inn; the warm fire had been lit on the fire place as it gave off a soft glow from outside as she looked through the window. Extending her arm, she grasped the handle and pushed the door open slightly as it creaked open, alerting anyone from inside that was awaiting customers.*

As she opened the door, it swung open quiet easily, a loud thud came from behind it. Marth turned the corner right as she opened it and got hit in the face. He moved back and held his face, wincing a bit. "O-ow....I never did anything to you!!!" He glared at the door, rubbing his nose. "Damn...." He moved around the door and stopped when seeing the girl. "Oh...Erm...Hello there..." He twitched a few times, holding himself back from tackling the stranger and petting her ears. (yes, this Marth is like the one you all know xD obsessed with cute anthro girls)

He smiles softly and takes her hand gently, shaking it. "Marth...Pleased to meet you Jess..." His voice was soft but deep, like two sheets of silk rubbing together. He let go of her hand and held the door open. "After you..."

*She smiled again as he mentioned his name, as she bowed her head in a polite manner as she stepped inside off of the cool streets and into the warmth that consumed the inn. The cloth covering half of her leg slipping over her leg with every step as she walked past Marth and then turned on her heal as she turned back towards him.
She had been in many inn's but this inn had quite the character to it. The entire one's that she had been too had usually been run down and damp from not getting proper care, but she didn't complain, as long as there was a bed provided for her to sleep in she didn't pay much heed to the rest.
Turning her head slightly she glanced about the place as before turning her gaze back to Marth as she watched him close the door behind them. The chain dangling from her collar was reflecting the warm glow of the fire. While she stood in the middle she glanced over towards the inn keeper as she noticed the person had been watching them ever since they had entered. Most likely waiting for them to purchase their rooms.*

"MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRTH!!!!" Jess would see a blur rush past her and nearly tackling Marth through the door. A younger looking man with longer black hair and amber eyes cling onto Marth's waist, smiling happily. "Nii-san! Where have you been!?" The young man pouted and gave a child-like glare at Marth. Marth chuckled and patted the younger man's head softly, shaking his head. "Taiki...You know I've been busy..." Marth stood up, Taiki still clinging onto Marth for dear life. "T-Taiki....Getting hard to breathe...." "Not until I get a hug....And who is she!? I thought you didn't have a girlfriend!" Taiki points to Jess, pouting more. Marth's face turned dark red, his eyes widening a bit. "N-no!!! We just met!!! I swear!!!" ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v297/demonknightmarth/Marth3.jpg this is Marth X3 the new look, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v297/demonknightmarth/Taiki.jpg and this is Taiki ^_^)

*Taking a small step back as the young man tackled Marth; she did not want to get knocked back as he tackled him. Her golden eyes focused on the young man as he clung to Marth, She was just about to speak just as soon as he began to speak nonsense about their non existent relationship. Choking on her words, she shook as she waved her hands slightly in front of her face.*
Jess:: Er, Yeah, we just met!
*The young girl of the age of 17 brought her hand to the back of her head as she rubbed it slightly. Her Golden eyes looking away from the two brothers as she then brought her hand back down to her side. This was indeed an awkward moment.*

Taiki grinned and let go of Marth, snickering as he turned to the girl. "Well...She does look a bit young..."
Marth shrugged and grabbed Taiki by the collar of his shirt, dragging him over to a table. "Care to join us?" He looked to Jess, pulling out a few chairs for them.

*Watching as he dragged his younger brother over to the table, she then snapped back into reality as he asked if she would like to join them. She should probably get to sleep, seeing how she had to be back on the road, venturing forth on her journey again in the morning, but it had been a while since she had last sat down and had a conversation with someone. She half smiled as she nodded her head slightly.
Shifting her body, she then turned as she faced the two of them, bowing slightly to show her respect, she then stepped forward as she sat down beside the two if them, her arms overlapping each other as her ears twitched slightly.*

Marth smiled softly, but the smile went away as he coughed into his hand, sighing and wiping his hand onto a cloth, Taiki looked quiet worried but Marth just shook his head.
"Murr! Marth, please don't act like it's nothing...." Taiki frowned, sighing quietly. A waitress came by, asking what they al wanted. Taiki and Marth both ordering sake, the waitress looking over to the young Jess. "And you little lady?"

*A little concerned about Marth her self, she was about to ask if he was alright when Taiki had already spoken out. It was obvious that there was something wrong with him, but it wasn't her place to ask of these things. She then looked over as the waitress came and asked of what they would like. Shaking her head slightly she then spoke out in a polite voice.*
Jess:: Nothing for me, I've had something earlier in the morning.

The waitress nodded and walked off to get the orders.
Marth smirked and nudged Taiki's arm softly. "Still a lightweight, Taiki?"
Taiki blushed and glared at Marth again, puffing his cheeks a bit. "NO!!! I can handle at least three shots of sake now!"
"Pssh...That's still lightweight...." Marth grinned and poked Taiki's cheeks, chuckling quietly.

*Restraining herself from laughing, she bit her tongue as she watched the two of them. Obviously they had a great brotherly relationship between them. She couldn't really say the same for herself. She hadn't met up with any of her relatives for the longest time. Her last visit with a relative was with her twin sister, though people wouldn't know that they were twins, due to them not looking alike.
Brining her hands up slightly, she then set her chin down upon them as she watched the two of them. It was nice to be around people again, but in times like these, she really didn't know how to strike up a reasonable conversation that would keep them entertained.*
Jess:: ...Ano... How long have you two lived here...?
