Subo winced and pulled on her other shoe as Lind tugged at her elbow impatiently. "I'm coming, I'm coming.." As she finished tying the laces, she was tugged to her feet by the impatient boy. She smiled slightly as he ran on ahead of her
"Where are we going, anyways?" she asked him, walking a few feet behind Lind. She snickered slightly as he slowed to a halt, paused for a moment, and shrugged. He picked up his skipping pace again, squealing happily as his (supposidly) intended destination came into view. Subo blinked at the large Japanese-style house, caught up in her thoughts. She started forwards as Lind hurried up the steps to the front door and knocked on the door.
With a sigh and a palm to her forehead, she walked up behind him, taking hold of his hand as it tugged on the hem of her dress. Well, what was done was done.
"..Say, who's house is this anyways?" she asked suddenly, palm coming up to her forhead as he looked up at her, shrugging and grinning.

A knock on the door! Someone was here! Maybe it was mom?
Rand ran to the doorway, wanting to fling it open wide for whoever was out there. Unfortunately, the handle/lock was just out of his reach. So he satisfied himself with the next best thing.
His face pressed up against the bottom pane of one of the windows nearest the door, big blue eyes staring out at Lind and Subo.

Lind grinned when he saw Rand's face press against the window, and so, naturally, he did too. He giggled and waved, attempting to say something but failing miserably due to the fact that the glass muffled and distoreted his words. "Huuuuhi Rundh!"
Subo smiled at the two boys' antics, waving slightly to Rand. So this was where he lived....But didn't Owle say something about a tavern or something last time they met...?

Rand leaned back a little from the glass so that he could wave vigorously at his friend. "Hiiiiiiiiiiii Lind!" he shouted back, loud enough for the whole house to hear.

Lind pulled his face away from the glass, waving excitedly back. "HIIIIII!"
Subo shook her head in amusement and reached over Lind's head to turn the doorknob, checking to see if it was locked so the two wouldn't yell themselves hoarse.

The commotion at the window drew Taka from the confines of her room, where she'd been busy setting up her new frog tank. She'd rearranged the rocks several times...and still wasn't quite happy with it.
When she saw Rand with his face plastered to the window, she rolled her eyes. "Ugh," she muttered under her breath. Then "ANGEL!" she hollered, fully aware of how rude she was being.
He must have been just in the other room...Sarielle's room??! ... because it was only moments before he appeared, and he was certainly not in a hurry. He looked a question at her, not smiling. It was the only sign of his displeasure. He'd ironed a button-up shirt, and his guitar case dangled from his long fingers.
Taka just pointed.
"There's someone on the porch, I think," he commented. "Let them in while I finish getting ready?"
Taka shrugged and got up with a loud sigh. "Fine." It seemed the frog had done little to improve her attitude with him - not once the thing was paid for, anyway.
She slid open the door to be faced with another Rand. Well, not really; this child's wings were obviously different. But still, another young Herald. Good grief, was this place going to turn into a regular Herald orphanage?

Rand turned to look at Taka when she yelled Angel's name. What was wrong?
He was a bit too far away to hear what they were saying, but he started jumping up and down in excitement as Taka drew nearer to the door.
"It's Lind!" he exclaimed, shoving his way into the doorframe whether or not there was room for him there. "And...and...Lind's mommy! Did you come to play?"

Lind giggled and raced to join the party and squeeze into the doorway, but was stopped when one of Subo's feet hooked around his abdomen and dragged him backwards. Despite the barrier, he still attempted to walk forwards, making "Aaar!" noises in the process.
Subo smiled slightly at Rand and turned her attention to Taka. "Ah, I'm sorry if we're disturbing you, 's just that Lind kinda...dragged me here...Wasn't expecting to see Rand though." She blinked and her gaze flickered down to the other young Herald before returning to Taka. "I'm Subo, by the way. And this," she said, tapping Lind lightly on the head with her knuckles, "is Lind, if you haven't guessed already."

Taka extended a hand in a limp-wristed shake, but she did smile at Lind's antics. Swarmed by more Messenger Reborn than she cared for, though, the brown-haired teen took a couple of steps back, feeling a bit claustrophobic."Taka. Come in. I think we met briefly before, Subo," she said.
The change between the way she spoke to the guests and the way she'd spoken to Angel was immense. The young man registered the fact wordlessly, unsure, exactly, of why she disliked him so.
He also stepped forward to greet them, white smile boyish and blue eyes bright. "And I'm Angel," he said, also extending his hand. "Sarielle's out of town for awhile, so if you're looking for her, I'm sorry. You're stuck with me instead." His blue eyes danced.[Angel ref pic:  ]

Rand laughed at Lind's predicament. "Come in, come in!" he urged Lind, gesturing for him to come inside while hopping up and down. "Come on, you can make it!"

Subo released her hold on Lind, winching slightly as he barreled through the doorway to Rand. She briefly clasped Taka's proffered hand, grinning apoligeticly as Lind joined in Rand's hopping.
With another hand shake to Angel, stifling a snort of laughter as Lind toddled up to examine Angel with a rather serious expression on his face, giving him a "you'll do' nod before returning to Rand. "Aah, I wasn't looking for anyone in particular. Didn't find out who Lind as dragging me to till I got here, actually..."

"Well good." He raised his eyebrows slightly at the intensive commotion-making session Rand and Lind seemed to be having, but unlike Taka, he didn't look frazzled. "I think I passed inspection," he told Subo with a playful wink.
"I envy their energy," the teen said, shaking her head in an "oh my God please make it stop" fashion.

"That you did." she responded with a grin, and then a sigh as she heard Taka's remark. "It does get tiring after awhile, though." was her remark as she nudged the Herald with her toe when his reenacment of his glorious battle with the Fell BeastTM Melchior got too energetic.

Rand almost fell over as Lind barreled into him, but only laughed, a high and enthusiastic sound. He took a seat on the ground, legs folded beneath him, and listened to Lind relate his glorious battle. "Wow, you did all that? Mom never lets me get near anything dangerous." His big blue eyes were round and wide as saucer plates in admiration.
