Asherah loved her family. Her mothers were the twin suns of her world and her siblings the stars in the night sky. But sometimes it was nice to get away from the playfights and baths - not that the black and white cub was used to suceeding in that goal. Ny and Zimwi, yes, her brothers sometimes but Asherah... Never.
Which was why she was so happy to be running through the undergowth at night, alone. It was rare; the land suddenly seemed so beautiful and dangerous and empty to her. She headed towards the sounds of falling water and - what was that scent? Like her mothers and granmother and siblings and uncles but not. She'd never met anyone else. So she did not know it was the smell of other cats.

Near one of the pools, where the fish swam in the ever declining water that lowered in depth day by day with this unbearable heat.
An incredbily white figure lay by the side of it, bathed in the moonlight that made him almost glow as his bright crimson eye's watched the brainless vertabrae do what they did best.
Swim and live.
Until he was hungry.
Moses had yet to meet any of the other cub's that lurked in the home of the Umande'Mfuni, nor did he particularly want to meet them. Being the anti social 'emo' lion he was.
But either way, his ear's kept up perked, as though waiting for any sound to reach them.

As soon as she found the shallower water, Asherah splashed her way into it, playing for a moment. Unaware that pools and streams could be trecherous. Calming down after a few minutes, she moved serenely from pool to pool.
The white of the male's coat attracted her eyes - it was brighter than the silver flashes of scales and akin to the light on the ripples. Asherah assumed he'd be as friendly as her family was. He was as pale as some of them.
"Hello."

The male's ear flickered and he turned his head toward's her, eye that was not covered by the lock of his black hair narrowed softly, his face expressionless.
For a moment, he had almost mistaken this female for his dear sister, Sekhmet. However, when a closer look, he saw it was not.
But he did give a small snort toward's her greeting before answering sollemly.
"Good afternoon."

Oh. He sounded like one of the adults to her, all polite - and yet somehow rude. That funny noise he'd made. The black lionness didn't know why but something about that seemed like he was dismissing her on sight. Still. She'd try to be pleasant - Denge's influence - before the temper she'd inherited from her true mother kicked it.
"It's a lovely one. I don't think I've ever seen the moon so...huge" Her white streaked tail flicked. "So...what do they call you?"

The young male looked toward's the moon and indeed took her word's, the lunar cycle had indeed worked into their favour giving them a beautiful sight of the moon.
"Indeed." He said softly, in his own, dark, yet emotionless tone. Not unhappy...but then again, not terribly excited. "And they call me Moses."
He added the last word's on rather casually, she asked the question, he gave the answer, now it was his turn.
"But may I ask the name of my new company?" He asked, turning his line of sight toward's her as his tail flicked back and forth.

"My mothers called me Asherah, but you can call me something shorter if you want." Or perhaps it was just his way, this...emotionless, odd....sorta...Okay, so the younger cub didn't understand. But it was rather interesting. No shyness or cheeriness.
He hadn't even pounced on her tail like Siha would have done.

Moses cocked his head, a strange name, then again, he was used to the name's his mother and father had given them at their birth. But he nodded softly and sat up, watching her still from his position.
"I will call you Ash' it is easier to say." He said calmly, ear's flicking before he finally moved. Showing the dark red tribal marking on his shoulder as he moved toward's her.

"Hey, you've got red on you. Not as much as my grandma and uncle though, they're red all over."
Ash. That was new. She was used to getting Rah chosen or once even just E. Moses as a name didn't really need shortening. His was odd to her too.
"Whose your family?"

The lion cub watched her, sitting next to her before he gave a small shrug, to loosen up his shoulder's.
"My mother is Laana, my father is Ramses, I have two sister's named Sekhmet and Shani and a brother named Anubis, all older then me." He said softy, only to rub his nose while he lifted a paw.
"I have an uncle named Enki aswell...most of my family are part of the mistweavers really."

"I've heard of your mother, I think, she knew my momma."
Her white back ears flicked towards one of the smalled waterfalls, listening. Settling down, she raised her own paw to lick the damp fur dry. Hmm. Her family.
"Both my mothers are Mistweavers and my siblings but the rest are rogues still. Doubt you've heard of them."

Moses watched her, two mothers? Hmm, the child of a lesbian alliance, now this was interesting. At least it proved that 'love' had conquered the gender's of this world. However he let out a snort at the word's of both of them being mistweaver.
"Dear, my mother has told me about Ithibati, I believe she is your birth mother?" He asked.

"Yes she is." A tiny flare of temper, though she was probably leaping to assumptions. That odd noise that reminded her of a warhog - it made the little hair on the back of her neck want to bristle. Her paw lowered itself quickly.

The cub smirked, the only flicker of emotion or expression on the young male's face as he watched her, almost feeling the small flare of temper from the ebony lioness. However this smirk quickly faded as soon as it appeared.
"Well my mother said she was born a rogue, she joined the pride, yes, but she's still a rogue." He said calmly, tail flicking back and forth.
He then looked at her. "Even my mother was a rogue...but with one unique exception that she had come from a pride."

"My momma was born an Earthquake cub and mother was a rogue. Not that such things matter." The flare died down. She was Mistweaver in name only but she was content with that. And she didn't know that the two grey lionesses were not possibly her true two parents - so her father's roots didn't bother her. Asherah was proud of her heritedge as it was.
"Anyway...you live around here by the pools? We're further up the cliffs."
