Teehee. I'm almost done reading Kamikaze Girls by Novela Takemoto, novel version. *squeals* I'm absolutely in love with this book. It's so AWESOME! Before I go full fledge nutso on Kamikaze Girls, have you read any books that relate to Lolita in anyway?
This book really did push me into the Lolita world. <3 Read this book darnnit. Even if it did cost like $20.

I can't think of any books right now, but is the movie based off of that book? Because I've seen the movie, but not read the book, and it is really good.

Just to warn you ahead of time though, there are four stories/chapters in the manga. One is based off of the novel, the other is a story the author made with Kamikaze's author (forgot his name and how to spell it) approval. Then the other two are the manga artist's own short story. But it's good, just thought you'd like to know.

What about A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray? I'm not sure if it's all that Lolita, but it takes place in the 1800s in England and India...I luv it though it is so good! heart

I recently read Kamikaze Girls and I LOOOVE it, it was suuuch a great read!
Other than that I'm reading a book called From the Ballroom to Hell by Elizabeth Aldrich its about ballroom etiquette in the nineteenth century and it's really cute.
I'm also reading a book called a social history of tea which is about the social influence of tea, tea parties...etc
those are both really good books
