What time was it? Madeline lifted the silver watch around her thin wrist to her face; 2:00pm. Two o'clock, oh dear, why did the day seem to be dragging on like this? Lunch hadn't nearly been long enough...not after what she had, had to deal with today. Tonight she would defiantly be making tea, a very large pot of it, I might add, for Madeline, a good cup of tea could fix any troubles the day had caused. Wearily she flipped to the third page in her list.
Madeline,
The following children need to be vaccinated: Ligeia/ Ter Keanu Simon Nero Indigo Sahra
Your first appointment will be with Ligeia at 10:00am today. Keanu 12:00pm Simon 2:00pm A reminder that they will be needing Chickenpox, Mumps, Meningococcal, Tetanus, Measles as well as immunizations which cover their animal DNA (i.e. Rabies, Kennel Cough)
Best of luck!
"Simon" slowly her finger traveled down the page, "...DNA, Tiger Shark." She felt a jolt of terror, oh, what an ill tempered creatures those things could be. Luckily she didn't have to much time to pine about it for there came a knock on her door.

After the knock Simon entered first, arms crossed looking rather non-chalant about the whole deal. Bree followed in, smirking slightly. The thrill of victory in getting the boy to come was quite sweet in their constant war for power. Apparently mocking him as a coward for a tiny lil shot seemed to do the trick.
He hoisted himself up on the examination table, his tail awkwardly slammed against various things first trying to just get on the table with the cumbersome, heavy thing. Then trying to find a comfortable position for the out of place feature.
"Sure you're not still scared?" Bree teased, tail waigging slightly as she sat down in the corner.
"Pssh." he snorted, puffing out his chest. "It's just a little needle, not like it's a huge sword or something." he rolled his eyes, locking them on his new.. fluffy, doctor. "...Isn't Hennet supposed to be here...?" He blinked, yeesha had allways said her dad was the doctor.. Boasted about it. This definatly wasn't Hennet.

Bree blinked, ears perking as she looked to the prim and proper doctor... Oh well, perhaps less awkward than Hennet being here.... Though also fairly dissapointing. No after-check-up fun time... How sad. "Aa...Yea..." she gave a tiny shrug, when WAS the last time she had heard her last name....? Oh yea... Police station. Hm.
Simon simply stared at the woman. Giving a blink or two before he finally replied "Right..." Somewhat at a loss for words. For one... No one had ever said it was a pleasure to meet him. Horror was much more common than pleasure... And two, her attitude completely annoid him. It was like Kat's... but unlike Kat he wasn't like.. four years old anymore. So why the hell was she talking to him like that?
"And these are all Free, right?" Bree shifted a bit... Ever since he got that dragon he's been burning a hole in her pocket. At this rate if this was going to cost anything it might have just been better to let the boy die off...

The whole atmosphere seemingly began to feel more and more awkward with each passing moment. Was something matter with Ms. Zepke? She seemed to be acting rather strangely at the fact that Madeline was here instead of Hennet....maybe she was just relieved, perhaps dealing with Hennet was something that she didn't want to do.
Either way, Madeline did the only thing any sensible person would do in these uncomfortable situations, she went to prepare the shots, creating busy work was always a great distraction! However not distracting enough to keep Madeline from being irked by Simon's comment. Sarcasm was most unbecoming in a young genteel man.
But, if Simon's comment had irked Madeline then Bree's completely tweaked her out, causing her to freeze mid way through filling up chickenpox. "Excuse me Miz. Zepke? Of coarse they are free. We want to keep your child healthy and alive. By all means, should these have not been free today, I would have been willing to work out some agreement with you out of my own pocket." Hopefully this sentence didn't come off as rude towards Bree. It was just that...we'll Madeline cared to much for children to see one go with out needed medicine, clothes or anything else that Madeline deemed a 'necessity', which was mostly everything. With that final note Madeline began to walk back towards Simon, her heals clicking against the floor as she carried tray full of shots ready to go.

Bree tensed significantly, eyes narrowing at the woman who's tone of voice seemed to put down her parenting... "Well excuse me for checking..." her voice layered with sarcasm. Any thoughts of letting her child die were merely jokes, she wasn't the most serious of women afterall... If it had ever come down to Simon life though, she would have sold every artifact she'd ever colected. And those were her life...
"If they weren't free I would have taken my child somewhere more trustworthy than D-corp." Her fur seemed to bristle at the thought of D-corp itself... She hated being here really. D-corp was manipulative, deciving, blackmailing, and found out information that no one else knew. She didn't trust anything about them. The only reason she was here in teh first place was.. a, they were free. And b, D-corp DID know more about the DNA and would be much more willing to give a shark boy shots than other doctors.
Simon grinned slightly at his mother's reaction. Apaprently he wasn't the only one uneased by the new doctor's attitude. That smirk played on his lips until he spotted the tray full of evil. It quickly dimminished into a masked uncomfortable frown. He quickly glanced to the side, giving a childish 'I'm tough' look to the wall.

'Sarcasm is un-becoming' thought Madeline, Ms. Zepke was in dire need of some proper manners education. Then again, Madeline didn't feel like voicing this comment. It seemed she had already gotten the mother riled up enough with her previous statement. Madeline tried to suppress the sigh of weariness which escaped her lips but failed. She wasn't perturbed by Bree's snide remark, just---"My apologies Ms. Zepke, forgive me for my earlier comment."
Thankfully Madeline didn't have to deal with a gleeful Simon, the shots took care of his attitude problem fast enough. If she were lucky this wouldn't end up like Keanu's appointment earlier this morning, and if she were really lucky this would be as simple as taking care of Ligeia!
With tender care Madeline reached out and grabbed Simon's arm. "Please hold still, Simon. I promise I will try to make this fast." She really didn't give him a choice or tell him when she was going to inject him. She just did so...erm, well at least she tried for you see...the needle broke against Simon's skin.

Bree relaxed some, trying to clear her head.. Like what she'd do back at her parents... when they went to church. Yea, she'd just pretendlike she wa sin the catholic church back at home. Nothing in all her years of adventuring and monsters had ever scared her as much as that one church had.
Bree paused, watching something hit the floor. "Was that....?" she didn't even bother to finish. Simon blinked, looking at the broken needle.. then to his arm. "Cool.." he smirked a bit. Even needles coudn't get through his skin! Yay for him.
"It's not cool." Bree sighed, okay maybe it was... but she didn't need to admit that. "You need those shots."
Simon rolled his eyes, huffing a bit. It was too cool...

In a state of rather confounded stupor Madeline pulled back the syringe, holding up its thin, hollow, cylindrical body to her face. Oh the syringe was fine but the needle....with a flash Madeline's eyes fell to the floor where the pointy object lay defeated. Looking back up at the useless injection she floundered for words. "...Oh my."
"Well...I never quite imagined this would occur." She looked rather perplexed at Bree. It was true Simon needed these injections. An although the Tiger Shark may have been celebrating about the fact that needles were rendered useless against him, Madeline was not.
"...I'll...be back." She finally said, and with that briskly walked out of the office, leaving Bree and Simon in awkward silence. This problem had to be remedied! With a few calls and some searching later Madeline returned to the exam room.
"I think I found the solution Ms. Zepke," she said with happy resignation in her voice, but a guilty look quickly surpassed the joyful one on her face, as she turned towards Simon. "Simon, I'm going to have to ask you to remove your shirt and lay down on your back...."

Bree shifted from her spot as the prim and propor woman returned, quickly dropping her feet to the floor from their propped position. Blinking a few times to try and rid that sleepy look that came from resting in a chair.
Simon was kicking his feet back and forth, bored out of his mind from the somewhat short time the woman had been away. It wasn't an uncommon thing at a doctor office, but it still bothered him. What a waste of time. He raised a brow at the request, shrugging and starting to tug the article up and over his head, doing the careful work of removing it not only from his arms, and head, but from the not so handy fin protruding from his back.
Bree blinked, "What are you doing?" she looked a tad more awake now... Either this woman was about to molest her boy, which seemed impossibly for what she labled an ice-queen, so the other alternative was a shot on a much more tender area such as one's stomach. Tender points were eyes, lips, stomach, and the bottums of hands and feet... other places varied from creature to creature... but this seemed to be a gernalization of anything that felt like attacking her on her ventures. And so... if that were the case, this woman would be in for a suprise if she decided to p***k the tigershark in such a sensitive area.

Simon's eyes widened, drawing a fist back to punch this woman away. Through his STOMACH? Was she nuts?! And holy hell it hurt. Bree jumped from her seat, landing herself on Simon's raised arm to draw him back with a loud thud against the metalic table. "You do NOT punch the doctor.. nurse. Person... You don't punch anyone!" She hissed at him, straining to hold the struggling arms down.
Simon glowered, his tail thrashed a bit, "She ******** STABBED me."
"Don't use that language with me!"
"Well she did!"
"You don't know what stabbing is." her voice lowered to a hollow threat, hoping that would mellow this violient issue.
It did, he relaxed some as the initial pain ebbed away. Still glaring, hands fisted from their restrained position as if to say he wasn't over this jsut yet... However the thrashing did stop. And that was a start, right?
Bree took a breath, not daring to let got of the boy just yet. She looked back at the woman, giving a half hearted smile. There'd be more shots wouldn't there? There had to be... However, she decided not to say anything. If the rest were a suprise perhaps she could keep the boy restrained for them. Her mind silently noted just how much stronger he was getting from his previous years.

Bree growled low in warning at the boy as the next needle approached his stomach. He simply glared in return, razor-teeth clenching together... if his vocal chords had allowed growling, it was positive he would have been. His hands still fisted, he tried to remain calm. Remain tough. Afterall, it was just some stupid little metal object, couldn't even pierce his skin anywhere else.
Bree caught onto his look, it was one she saw often when he'd hurt himself and claimed all was fine. "You're tough, right?" she encouraged, in her own wierd way... It almost seemed like she was mocking the boy. "It's just a little shot... Geez."
Simon responded well to this, however, their own unique mother and son relationship shining true. "Of course i am! It--" he choked as the third entered the allready sore area. "It's nothing." The hostility seemed to ebb away.
Shot 4... Still good.
Bree kept her hold on him, just in case he lost it completely. She glanced back, just one more... "You're not giving in yet, are ya?"
"No." he shot back, frowning at her. He felt nausious, and his stomach stung horribly... he wanted nothign more thn to beat off both of the annoying women. However, if he did that would show he was weak and let a thin little metal thing hurt him... Maybe it was a butcher knife, or a claymore he could show something... but not a needle. He gave a tiny noise as the needle jammed in too far, a lowd metallic thud followed as his tail slammed itself against the examination table. It had originally been headed towards the woman... but Simon's position combined with it's weight had kept it from fully overcoming the height of the table. Bree flinched at the sudden noise, tightening her grip. "That was the last one.." she hissed at him, moreso trying to simply wisper it but her position was crushing the air from her allready. The metallic thud echoed the room again... then once more, before the tail seemed to give up it's attempted defence.
