Kingdom Hearts II I deeply apologize if a thread such as this has already been made, but I'm in a tight pickle and was hoping someone could help me out--this being a gaming guild and all.
In Kingdom Hearts II, upon your arrival at Hollow Bastion--the arrival before your second trip to The Coliseum--I have been having trouble defeating Demyx. I've been able to get through three or four bars of his health, but by that point I pretty much just screw myself over and he delivers the final blow after struggling for a while.
I've used several different theories suggested by online walkthroughs and none have worked so far. I've fought him countless times now, and I'm not quite sure how to beat him. Does anyone have any tips or help they could provide?

Try avoiding him when he goes beserk with the water attacks, then try to sneak in some attacks. When his "ghost" forms come out, attack them in Valor form.

Yeah, you'll have to keep an eye on his attack pattern. When you get him that low on health, he pretty much just sticks to that one rather annoying water attack (like a bunch of geysers). Just try to keep your distance. He'll come up with a wall in front and behind you, if you can manage it just right you should manage to stay in between the two without taking damage. At the end of that attack, a geyser will erupt right under you, try to jump away if you can.
Sometimes attacking him after that works, though I know I got hit a few times trying that.
What helped me through that is timing attacks right (which I'm sure you're doing already, so that doesn't help ^^; ), equiping Cure magic so that it's easy to access, and equipping the Auto Valor ability. Everytime you get to critical health, you can automatically Valor. Remember that it replenishes your health, and you don't have to wait til your gauge runs out, so if you just need it for health, revert back right away and keep attacking in normal form.
Equip what healing items you can (make sure the other two have some healing items too), and maybe some Drive Recovery ones too, if you want.
It can be a tough fight, but you'll manage.

As we're on the topic of KH2 help.. sweatdrop
In the Underworld, as you're going after the Olympus Stone, what's the best way to get through there without dying? Those stupid ghost heartless wreak havoc on my HP....

Mercuryangel As we're on the topic of KH2 help.. sweatdrop In the Underworld, as you're going after the Olympus Stone, what's the best way to get through there without dying? Those stupid ghost heartless wreak havoc on my HP.... Those things are easy! What mode are you on? Proud? Then, it might be understandable if they're raping poor Sora's a**. I say...go around? I mean, you can either go around, or go head on, like I do. Then again, that might be why you're getting your a** whomped in the first place, eh? It always helps to go into a different mode. Valor or Wisdom works! It makes you run faster, so you can avoid things. Or, you could let Donald and Goofy handle everything. Equip them with some good moves, if you have any. I don't know what else to tell you. I've already beaten this game and completed it, on all the modes. So, if you have any questions, please, ask!

Does anyone have any tips or help they could provide? It almost always helps to level up a little before taking him on. Going into different modes always helps, too. Equip your fastest moves, and if you want, equip Explosion if you have it. It always helps, by hitting all nearby enemies, and knocking them back as well.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that the question has been sufficiently answered, therefore I'm going to lock this thread. I'll let it kick around for a bit as reference.
I think we could continue asking for KH II help in the Kingdom Hearts thread we have going. 3nodding
Thanks.
