(I will always be adding new arts to this post smile So check the later posts for new stuff!) Hi ~ I'm Zebee. I applied to be a member of this guild but was declined, but since we're encouraged to post I'd like it if you guys maybe gave me your suggestions so I can improve! smile Edit: I was accepted in to the guild biggrin ~ I work mainly in traditional media, but my favourite CG programs are OpenCanvas and Adobe Photoshop. I'd like to know your opinion on what medium you think I'm stronger in (traditional or digital). Traditional: Digital: Thank you ~ smile

Tawney I really like those 2nd & 3rd ones. Pretty portraits. Why weren't you accepted? gonk I was thinking the same thing. gonk The portraits are really interesting, I really like what you do with the eyes. If the one with the camera is digital, I'd suggest maybe removing the camera? I don't think it really adds to it, but I think the hand posing might look interesting like that. I don't know, I'm thinking out loud.

the water color portrait is my favorite, i really love the quality of the lines in the face, it would be nice if there was that level of attention/detail in the torso...which looks a little less refined, and flatter.
you do lots of protrait, huh? i definately like the way you handle them, but if you want to work on something, start drawing more from the shoulders down. The first and second images show a little to a lot of weekeness in the anatomy department, the further from the face you're drawing

I don't know, I'm thinking out loud. The one with the camera was done as a sort of like, hrm, an experiment to see what people thought was so interesting about those myspace camera in the mirror shots. Everybody gets to pose exactly how they want themselves to look with those self-taken digital camera pictures. I just think it's kind of interesting ~ smile I'd love to take that picture a bit further and take out the camera and maybe display them side by side (since I'm guessing most people want to get the camera out of view ~ and in this picture it's so obvious). Thank you so much for your imput. heart Page Boy the water color portrait is my favorite, i really love the quality of the lines in the face, it would be nice if there was that level of attention/detail in the torso...which looks a little less refined, and flatter. you do lots of protrait, huh? i definately like the way you handle them, but if you want to work on something, start drawing more from the shoulders down. I recently got an anatomy book to work from with many really nice photos, so I can start practicing asap ~ smile I'll post those drawings once I'm done with them. Thanks again for your kind comment and suggestions ~

ho s**t, if you weren't accepted it probably was my fault and i apologize. i think there was some confusion by me when i was looking thru the applicants, and hit decline on your name instead of someone else's.
redface
i'm glad dr. valentine fixed up the mix-up though! glad to have you be in our guild!

I thought I'd add a few more pieces into this little thread. smile This is a self portrait I did at the beginning of this year ~ It's just a simple ink drawing, about 8 1/2 X 11 inches. This was a recent commision I did for Lady Sierra ~ I did this painting last summer! Another self-portrait .. it was the conclusion of a series of five paintings I did of a dream I had. It's about 28 X 36 inches. @@ It was the best one out of all five paintings in the series.

Urr, sorry I haven't posted in so long. This is just a tiny thing from my sketchbook that I drew on a day where I wasn't feeling too good. @_@ It cheered me up.

I love your new drawing! Specifically, I love her eyebrows and her knuckles. You exaggerated them just enough to make her look... earthy, if that makes sense. She doesn't have that plasticine beauty that most people think of women with.
Maybe you should say something in the first post about there being more art in newer posts. This is the second time I looked at this thread, and I just noticed it. D:

More stuffs ~~ I did this one over the summer of a friend of mine named Sam. I was doing a series of drawings and paintings of friends and their myspace pictures to really investigate why people posted those particular pictures of themselves and how that portrayed their image through such a customizable webspace. This one was one of my favorites. Rrr, a quick study of my roommate on her computer. She totally didn't know I was drawing her and I kind of feel like a creep because of it. XD An anatomy study that I really liked :3 ~ Also, I don't think I mentioned that I got a new website ... http://little-letters.net smile Check it out if you have the time ~
