((whiteout)) only read if you've gotten to like the end of Kh2 or you don't mind a huge spoiler with axel and then one with sora and rikuOkay when what happens to axel happens, he says to sora that roxas and sora made him feel like he had a heart which means that he's got the hots for roxas and kind of sora and when sora realizes that it's riku in that form he cries while holding riku's hand but earlier when he see's kairi he's all just like " hi kairi wus up?"

After that scene I really started wondering if Sora had somehow lost his crush on Kairi. Well, it could be possible, right? I mean...in the end ---spoilers--> when Sora finds out Kairi drew back the paupo fruit in the Secret Place, all he does is smile. It's like Kairi's declaration of love, that she feels the same way, and all he does is SMILE!? XD I mean, if it were me, I'd be jumping for joy or start crying, right? I dunno, it just seems like the "spark" between those two isn't as strong as it was in the first game.

-->From all I noticed, this was definately a RikuSora focused game. I see it as Sora...moving closer to Riku. I mean, he's starting to see Riku as more than a friend, which means there's hope. And there's no denying that the game had SoraKairi in it, since that is the supposedly canon couple, but I still see that Sora's starting to move on. And I love it. It's like, in the first game he was with Kairi, and now he's seeing Riku as something more, and in KH3...the final transition!

Ok.
The scene back in the secret place where Sora finds the engraving...
It is the exact same expression that Kairi had when she found Sora's Poupu at the end of the first one, sans the tear.
The smile's the same, the obvious love is the same...
I'm sorry, guys, but they are very much canon.
You also have to remember... "Maybe the crush has just faded"...
Well, Sora's been asleep for over a year, and didn't accomplish much before falling into his sleep.
Chain of Memories is further proof that Sora and Kairi are together...
Sure, you can point out all the one liners you want that may or may not hint at something between Sora and Riku, but if you concider the ENTIRE storyline for that game?
Sora is fighting through hell to get to Namine, who has "Replaced" Kairi in his memories due to Namine's manipulation.
She forced Sora to remember her in all of his memories instead of Kairi.
The promise was with Kairi.
"I'll come back for you. I promise" To quote the end of the first game.
But, again, his memories are manipulated, and he believes he made the promise to Namine, so when he finds out Namine's in danger, he gives it his all to save her.
Riku, who was NOTHING short of an a*****e (Because it was a clone) attempts to kill Sora on his way, but he fights THROUGH him.
Even once Sora finds out his memories have been altered... He's still true to his promise, still true to what he remembers, and that is love.
I'm sorry, I've had a horrible day, and there is no "Indesputible Proof" that Riku and Sora are made for each other.
But there's MASSIVE amounts of proof for Sora and Kairi.
I'm sorry.
Hate me all you want... But it gets ridiculous sometimes.

^ You know, I know SoraxKairi is pratically canon and I do like that pairing. But in this guild I don't feel like picking out the hints of SoraxKairi and some have different opinions to different scenes and in this thread we are simply discussing what seemed like a RikuxSora hint.

Ahem. If you didn't beat the game yet, DON'T HIGHLIGHT. -----> Okay so. Here's my argument. Notice how, as Sora is traveling through all the worlds in the game, he hrdly EVER asks about Kairi. Its always the same. "Have you seen Riku?" Sora didn't even START asking about Kairi until Axel kidnapped her, and even then, he only asked around three times, NOTHING compared to the amout of times he asked for Riku. He even mistook someone from the Organization as Riku because he wanted to see him so much.
Then, when Sora finally finds Riku, even though he's in his Ansem form, he starts crying his heart out because he finally found Riku, no matter what he looks like. And when he found Riku, his words were. "I looked EVERYWHERE for you!" And whats more, while crying, he's on his knees, and holding Riku's hand. When he finds Kairi, nothing more than a "Hey Kairi!" Not even a hug.
Then during the explosion, when Riku changes back to his normal form, everyone falls because of the explosion of Ansem's device. Sora is the first to wake up. Who does he run to first, to see if they're alright? RIKU. He doesn't even go to Kairi. He kneels beside Riku and asks if he's alright. Kairi is left aside in the corner. x3
And at the very end of the game, Riku and Sora are sitting together on the Dark Beach, and talkin to each other. They take turns saying how lucky they are that they have each other. I know they said friends, but if you only heard the tone of Riku's voice... it pretty much screamed "CONFESSION" in my ears. xD Also, after that, Riku tells Sora "...And we will be the Darkness." And Sora agrees to stay with him, even if it it means living in complete darkness. Now isn't that sweet? heart
And you simply HAVE to hear the backwords songs! < 333

Because Sora KNOWS where she is. She's on Destiny Island, where Sora left her at the end of KH1. Riku's the missing one.
Though the group doesn't know where the Destiny Islands ARE... They know she's there, 'till she's kidnapped, and, as you pointed out, begins asking where she is.
Did you notice the level of rage Sora got to when he found out the Organization recaptured Kairi, and when Saix refused to let her go?
Sora doesn't ever really get mad... But boy, he was pissed.
And again, the reason Sora was more worried about Riku's well-being than Kairi's is fue to the fact he's the one in danger.
Kairi can, indeed take care of herself. Riku... Well, Riku's had his share of ******** to say Riku's bad or anything, he's just a very deliciously flawed character.
And the only reason you heard a confession was because you wanted to.
I love the two of them as much as anyone, and wish they were actually a canon couple.
But they're not.

I don't really see why there's an argument...... we pretty much all know Sora and Kairi are SUPPOSED to be the canon couple but people have their own views on the interaction of the characters and what it really ment. But also, in no way shape or form do they actually say "SORA AND KAIRI ARE A COUPLE, OMG!!! :O" and they give you the interaction between all characters to make your mind up yourself about what should and shouldn't happen and what everything ment. As far as the whole game goes, it's only about Sora, his friends, and about saving the universe, not trying to base them in a relationship... maybe hint them thus the het fans and yaoi fans. I love story lines that never present to you a real couple, because it allows you to explore what you think would be best and what you might like more, and this game really left the room for it! ^_^
Agian, I know Kairi and Sora are SUPPOSED to be the ultimate couple in the game but I still like the tweak the details because, though it may be wrong, it's fun! XD

Nice arguments. But if I had to state my opnion I'd have to say that the game does hint a RikuxSora relationship A LOT.
I might write an essay about ti later, but for now all I can say is that while Riku & Sora may not ACTUALLY be in a couple in the game, one must note that that maybe because Disney is the other partner.
Ever wonder what would happen if it was Square-Cinx alone, and not Disney. Sure enough a rated "E" game would not openly state Riku loves Sora...and vice versa. They'd have to state the traditional GirlxBoy love.
Even still I know kids who question that relationship by asking "Why does Riku care so much about Sora?" or "Why did Riku make a Shadow Sora?"
If anyone thinks about it, wouldn't Riku have done a an evil *coughasifsheisn't* Kairi so Sor aloses focus during the battle. Instead Riku does an exact Sora Shadow-perfect in shape and size, and body.
As well Sora does get angry when the Organization kidnaps Kairi, but ...who wouldn't get mad at that? I'd be pretty mad if one of my friends got kidnapped? Regardless of my feelings or not.
Now I'm not saying they don't imply SoraxKairi, no. All I'm saying is RikuxSora is hinted at times, and one can only wonder.
The manga is the same. Some conversations, and reactiosn to each other suggest RikuxSora strongly.
If there's anythign I can conclude is Riku does LOVE Sora, and have great affection to Sora. Clues from the first one easily state this, and if anyone thinks about it it makes sense.
Riku stalked Sora, felt betrayed by Sora and hurt, and as boys they spent EVERY minute together. One can not say that Riku really has strong feelings for Kairi, so at the end when he says "Take care of her" He might be saying this because he knows Sora cares about her, and wants him happy.
This is sounding like an essay already? Kind of....
The attraction between Sora nad Kairi is noticable and undeniable, but if one notices closely at the game RikuxSora is always hinted.
Remember Disney helped with this game, so who knows.what Square-Cinx thinks......
O, and please don't begin to argue against me. Isn't this suppose tobe a RikuxSora thread.
