As you approach the door, you notice that the white door has been lightly washed in a pattern of ocean waves and underwater scenery. There is a silver plate on the door in a neat, roman font, clearly stating the resident's name: Rivencaira Capella'acqu. Near the rim of the plate, on the upper right corner was a small crystal, glistening like a diamond in the white lighting of the hallway. The handle is silver, just like the name plate, and depicts a leaping dolphin riding the seafoam from which Aphrodite rose and was born. Upon entering, you find that the carpet is dark blue, almost as black as the walls and the ceilings. Crystal faced rhinestones were attached to the five faces to form a starscape. The bases of the easter and western walls are tinted with violet and red, the sun rise and set. A single round lamp in the center was the bright moon, yet it wasn't what illuminated the room at all. Snap your fingers, and the entire room will be washed in the light of day. In the corner is a blue sleeping bag and a round, black alarm clock. Next to it was a large glass door that slid to reveal a balcony overlooking the ocean. In the other corner by the balcony was a rack with a hanger. There was an elaborate robe of blues, black, white and violets. Silver and crystals studded the outfit. Silver rope girdles hung from it in elegance. Beside the robes leant a silver staff with a standard of moon and aquamarine orb. Its light was dimmed, the intricate corals and seawave pattern wrapped around its base, diffussing as it parted it. A ceremonial necklace hung from the rack as well, hidden slightly by the folds in the robes. In the wall beside the robes was the door the the bathroom, similar to that of the enterance. To its left was the closet, painted in the same fasion. A dresser stood to the opposite wall, simple and white, with button mushroom knob s and a square mirror above. All that stood upon it was a basic lamp and a few books. The last remaining wall held a matching desk. It was empty save for a laptop connected to an outlet. To its right was a fishtank, void of fish, but full of water and a model of Atlantis. At the very center of the room was a 1x1m coffee table on a rug. It stood about one foot high and was white like the other furniture. The surface was bare, but a small mirror was embedded within it. There was a crystal on its corner, just like the one in the doorplate. No wonder Rivera always know's who's coming!

The door handle clicked with a turning key. There was a slight rattle as it turned and opened the door inwards. A silvery voice outside sounded faintly, speaking to another.
"This is my room... if you can take off your shoes by the door, here are some geta..." There was the patter of shoes hitting the ground as she took them off and a softer patter of dropping slippers. Rivera stepped onto the carpeted portion of her room. "You don't really need to wear them now, but it might get damp in the catacombs... best to keep yourself from stepping into sleeping spirits with flesh... "
The whispers of her voice induced the glow of the crystal on her coffee table. Rivera snapped her fingers and the lights came on. "Would you like to have something to eat before we go down or would you like to get started immediately?" She quickly corrected herself, "By that I mean you might have to wait for a few moments while I get dressed..."
She thought for another moment, actually, you should probably wear something else too. There are spirits down there who are untrusting of outsiders, you might think to... convince them a bit. Rivera went to the rack in the corner and took down the long, beautiful robes of the Pritier Praeis'acque. The misty sark sash floated as light as air, trying to snake onto her neck and around her shoulders, around her arms. "You're a bit anxious..." She whispered to the item of clothing. "It's been a while since fullmoon."
Opening the closet, she drew out another robe similar to hers, except that it had a kimono-like top covering instead of the misty sark. The skirts were plain linen and the robes were white edged in silver. The cord girdle was silver, but without the same ornamental tassels in curling patterns, only plain knots. Rivera went to her dresser and drew out a drawer. From it, she took a black box and opened it to a set of silver bracelets that matched her own, hanging from her priestess's attire. There was also a silver neckband that matched the bracelets, but her own was more ornate with curving silver rods rather than the plainer, smooth, solid steel. There was a clear jewel in its middle. Rivera held all these out to the girl. "Please, put these on. You may take the bathroom, I'm afraid my closet is not a 'walk-in'... I will change behind the screen. She pushed against the wall slightly and revealed a depression in her wall boards, pulling out a chinese screen painted with cranes.

rei took off her shoes as rivera had asked of her and put on the slippers. she looked around the roomand tried to listen to rivera as best as she could but she was just taken about by the beauty of it, it was nothing like her room at all but it was truly amazing. she was too busy abmiring the room that she missed some of the more astonishing things happening.
when rivera had stopped walking around the room and had been in front of her to give the new clothing she had no idea if she was to put them on but then after rivera explained to her where she should go get changed she figured that the cloths were for her to wear. she carefully took the items from rivera. after figuring out how bewst to hold them she looked at the items and then nodded her head after puzzling over them for a while. she looked for the open door to the bathroom and soon found it .
she closed the door of the bathroom behind her. she put the top of the toilet seat down so she could use it to put the cloths on and such. she first put on the braclets and the the neckband figuring they would be easiest and the were. next she took off her dress she had on and folded it. she then put it on the ground next to the sink. she then took off the shirt she wore under the dress and folded that and put it on top. now in her undergarments she took out the robe that rivera had given her and put it on. it was a nice fit at least she hoped she put it on right and that it did in fact fit right. she then took the cord and tied it around the out fit to keep it together she had tied it in the front with a little bow. she then took the final piece which was like a kimomo overcoat and put it on over the ensamble.
she then looked at herself in the bathroom mirror and smiled. she liked the outfit but it wasen't her style. she decided wearing this outfit would be worth it though if she was finally going to get to train. she then noitced that while dressing her hairtie had fallen out. she looked around the bathroom floor for it and soon found it. she picked it up and tied it in her hair she then shifted her hair so it was hanging off of her shoulder like it usually would.
she then picked up her old cloths and then exited the bathroom. she didn't turn around coming out of the bathroom because she didnt' want to seem rude coming in while the other girl was changing. "i'm done getting dressed....thank you" she said in a somewhat soft voice. "i'm not sure if i put it on right" she said just as loudly hoping rivera heard her.

Rivera emerged as well and nodded with satisfaction. "Your aura is dimmed, the spirits will not attack you now." Then she smiled slightly, "You look lovely." She added softly. Her own robes fitted her perfectly, and she took up the silver rod on the rack in the corner. It was a small silver wand with a moon and orb standardhead. Stroking it along its side, she watched it grow until it was a large staff, a longer, bigger, fancier version of the plain, unornamented rod.
"Come with me." She went to the coffee table and turned it clockwise twice, then pushed it towards the wall with the dresser. The table pivoted on a gliding rail and revealed a stone staircase spiralling downwards. Arcane symbols were carved into every block along the way, and the pathways were lit with an artificial light of blue.
Rivera drew a six pointed star before her chest before she descended silently as a ghost. It was cold down below, but only mildly so. Strange flows of winds from nowhere echoed with the whispers of the dead. The staircase formed a full story at exactly 28 steps, 360 degrees and a full arc.
The chamber it led to was in the shape of a large pentagon, supported by ten alabaster and marble pillars, old but uncracked. One wall was framed by two torches of violet fire on either side, and it was inscribed with thousands of names, carved into the wall by magic. At the very center of the room lay a pool carved into the floor. It was a perfect circle, lined along the sides by marble tiles, 24 of them, each with a different symbol for an element. The pool itself was completely still without a single thing to disturb its waters. Its surface is flat with the surface of the ground, yet not a single drop lapped over the edges, almost confined by some force field, seemingly.
Rivera motioned for the girl to enter. "We have passed through a portal to the scrying pool below the temple halls of Aeterranchise, Atlantis to you. Please, seat yourself facing the pool and the wall of names. Place your hand upon the ring of marble tiles and concentrate on the innermost energy in your heart, moving it into the stones. It will determine your strengths and weaknesses and I may begin to temper your magic until it is honed."

rei put her things on the ground next to the bathroom door. "thank you" she whispered after rivera had complimented her. she was looking around the room once more as rivera was messing with her staff. Her cheeks had turned slightly red at rivera's comment but they soon turned back to the normal color while she watched rivera move the table around. she then watched as rivera seemed to disapear down a staircase.
she then walked up to the place where the stair case was and followed rivera down them. she was walking slowly because she was taking in the scenery of the stairs themselfs. as rei walked down the stairs she found herself getting colder as she went but was glad it wasen't too cold.
when she had gotten to the bottom of the stairs she had quickly taken in the scenery of it but quickly turned her attention to rivera when she began to talk to her. "so this is what atlatis was like...it's beautiful" she muttered the line to herself after rivera had told her where she was.
rei then walked up to the pool as instructed. she looked at the wall with the names to makes sure she was in the right position. unsure weither to put her right or left hand she put her right hand she hesitated before deciding to put her right thand on the marble tile closes to her.
she then closed her eyes and tried her best to focus her energy into the tiles. she thought of the fire she new was inside her, she thought of it as a real fire in front of that she could actually touch and she imagined herself taking some of the fire and putting it into the stone.

rei heard rivera and cleared her mind of the fire she had imagined. she then tried to form the pool of her personal magic. once she found it she had to try for a little while until it was steady and vivid. she then called from it a spiral of fire she then tried to surround her and rivera with the fire as she had said. she tried to keep it a certain distance away from them so as to not burn them. it was hard but she tired as best as she could to keep it the way ti was going.

After several minutes, Rivera felt that Rei probably had enough. She tapped the sun staff once on the stones and focused on the scrying pool. Its brilliance ebbed slowly, inch by inch and wave by wave, until all that was left were little silvers of light from the torches and floating embers in the air. The fire around them also died. A burn or two streaked across her arms when either she or Rei failed to keep the fire in check. She was happy to see that Rei wasn't injured, at least, that's what she saw. Rei shouldn't be, she was a fire entity, a very powerful one that just needs her powers harnessed.
"That is how you build up your endurance and control." Rivera whispered, I want you to do this once a day at least until you can form a spiral of fire around you with a 3 meter radius and keep it burning for 12 minutes without thinking. Keep practicing. The pool was only for me to see what you can do with my eyes, you don't really need it... but if you feel the need to come here, it is yours to explore. I will keep the garments in the top drawer of the dresser where you can find it easily. Bring your friends, there are spares in the closet, raid it if you want to come around. But until you can do it without thinking, there is very little that I can do for you."
She thought for another moment, then spoke again. "If you desire a challenge, make your spiral larger and taller. The further away, the harder it is to control." Her already soft voice grew shyer, "As for me, I wouldn't mind if you came around and... had some tea sometime... with your friends..." Rivera said it like a suggestion. In the darkness, only the echoing winds and the crackling torches sounded. The pool was still and rippleless once again.

rei felt it stop and opened her eyes. she listened to rivera very carefully making sure she would remeber them. "Rivera thank you...i think i will probably come to see you foten and maybe sometimes me you and evadne can hang out" she said this with a smile.
she was happy to hear that there was something she could do to train herself. "i think it would also be best if i trained here for a while untill i feel okay with it" she said this as she looked at rivera's arm and saw it was burned. she looked at the wound and a slight frown formed on her face. "did i do that?"she questioned

rei watched as quietly as she could as rivera turned back to normal. she looked down at her and decided about what to do. rei kneeled down on one knee next to rivera. "here let me help you up" rei said moving the rivera's arm around her neck, she then put her own hand agains rivera's side to aid in helping her up.
"i'm sorry...i know this is probablly really wierd for you but i think right now this is the least i can do" rei said hoping that the girl wouldn't get mad or be offended by her actions. she then began to stand up, she almost lost her balence once or twice but had found it reletivly quickly.

"I-it's alright, I'll manage on my own...!" Rivera's whisper was broken into stutters from shock when Rei made contact with her. Their magnitudes were opposing to begin with, and now they were even more repulsive towards each other after two spells of opposing elements. The essences still lingered around them, and Rivera was aurally sensitive to these minute changes.
She broke away and leant on her staff. "Thank you... but I can manage." Her eyes were a light lavender in the right and baby blue in the left. Using the staff as a crutch, she made her way up the spiraling staircase with shaking limbs. It wasn't so bad, not as bad as the last time she tried it. Rivera looked back to see if Rei was still following her, hoping she wouldn't get lost.
Reaching the trap door. She pushed the brick marked with the pentagram symbol on her right. It sank into the wall, turning the mechanisms that slid the coffee table from its place and allowed daylight into the space.
"You learn very fast... much faster than me, I suspect..." Rivera pushed herself out and sat on the edge of the square trapdoor way, her legs dangling over the edge, the silvers, blues and violets of her robes a shimmering trail around her feet. "I suppose you'll be completely adept in about a month, and perhaps complete master with three more months... It usually takes years, but I guess you're just a fast learner..." Rivera yawned slightly, covering her mouth politely. "'scuse me."

rei watched as rivera broke away from the help. it upset her slightly but tried not to show it. she watched a rivera walked up the stairs and after watching her disapear around the first bend she decided to follow.
when she got to the top of the stairs she heard rivera talking to her and decided it best to listen. rei took a few steps away from the stairs so the door way could be closed.rei was glad when rivera said it wouldn;t take very long for her to completly master her powers. "hey rivera, how long did it take you to master your powers?" rei asked. she hadn't noticed rivera yawn because she was concentrating more on the design of the room once again.

Rivera's casualness faded away like it had been chopped off by an axe. Her eyes flashed a grayish blue before staying at a steel-gray violet. Her head lowered slightly. This was the one question she would have a hard time answering... how would she explain?
"I... don't know... I can't remember anything from before one or two months ago... and what I do remember is jumbled up like a hopeless puzzle..." She stood up once her feet were stead and walked around the room, getting some instant iced orange tea out of a cabinet. She set two cups on the coffee table and poured some iced water in each of them before measuring a teaspoon of the tea powder into the cups. It wasn't really a tea, but rather and orange tea flavored soda with more orange flavor than tea flavor. It fizzled a bit as it dissolved in little patterns that were amusing to look at.
"The earliest memory I have was a gunfight, and I know it wasn't a dream since I still have the bullet wound... but I can't remember when my powers first came up. I just know that I knew some control and I didn't know some others... my memories are compeletely out of order, so I can't quite picture what happened first and what happened last..." She finished making the tea and sat down, placed her hands together at the palms. "Itadekimasu." Her head inclined politely, then she lifted the cup to her lips and sipped the tea. It calmed her a little.
"I suppose I can tell when I was in prison from when I got transported to a boot camp, and I know Kairen and Kairyu were with me the entire time... yet... I don't know at all... rather, I know, but I can't..." Rivera tried to find her words, "... understand..."
She looked back into her memories from the juvenile detention facility. Rivera felt like a caged tiger back there, but that was all she could really recall. Then there was the asylum where she tried to kill herself... and finally the military camp where she could finally fit in with the rest of them. When they couldn't handle her creepiness anymore, the government wrote a grant to Ria Highschool to accept her. That was when she could finally start to make head and tail of her memories. Her clearest memory was at the gate of Ria High, only a few days ago, really. She was still new around here...
She took another sip of her tea.

"...i'm sorry... i didn't mean to upset you" she said, the last part in a slight whisper. she listened to rivera as best as she could and watched her as she moved around the room getting together what looks to have beeen some sort of orange drink. Rei sat down across from rivera and stared at the drink for a while.
she listened to rivera talk about what she knew and what she didn't. "it must be hard...living on your own....not knowing what you are or where you came from...i know i would never be able to live without knowing such things." rei said trying to empathize with rivera
