Yawning, little Nyunya padded out of the den, shaking her white fur in the early morning light. She stretches, extending her forelegs in front of her and scratching her little claws along the stone, before walking slowly toward the edge of the flat rock. Her tail flicks lightly behind her, before curling around her left hind leg.
She turns her head to look back at the den. Everyone but her was asleep, or so she thought. She was glad for that. The recent birth of the cubs had seriously disturbed her way of life. They were noisy, and everywhere. Although they were fun to play with, she did miss the days when it was just the four of them, and when it was quieter in the den.
Ny slowly lowers herself into a seated position, content for the moment to sit and enjoy the early morning quiet, before she began her exploring today.

Dharba raised his head and watched his 'sister' get up. She wasn't related to him by any blood but she was born to one of his mothers. He crawled over his siblings and trotted over to her. "Mother won't be happy with you wandering off again." He whispered, he would get in just as much trouble if he decided to go wandering!
The youngster sat down by his sister, he was a strange one, grey with black markings that looked rather random. Looking at him and his parents, no one would even think that Denge and Ithi weren't realted to him, but how these mysterious cubs were formed, would anyone know?

She slanted her crimson eyes in the direction of her younger brother, puffing the salmon tuft out of her vision. Surely he realised, after the number of times she'd snuck off, that she had an insatiable desire to explore, and that the thought of getting in trouble didn't deter her from her goal of exploring the entirety of the Umande'mfuni lands, and beyond once that was done.
Ignoring his statement, she settles herself down into a sphinx-like position, crossing her paws over each other, the one with the feather anklet on top. "What are you doing up so early?" she asks quietly instead, tilting her head at him. It wasn't unusual for Ny to be awake early; the older she got, the earlier she seemed to wake.

"You try sleeping that close to mother with those two squashed next to you!" He had always got the feeling Ny didn't like him much, maybe it was just because she wasn't the only child anymore, either way, she only had one mother, he had two, like all cubs should do!
"Where are you heading off to? Can I come?" He wanted to go wandering though he would never be allowed, but if he went wandering with Ny, then they couldn't complain!

It wasn't that she didn't like the cubs; far from it. She actually loved all three of them, and enjoyed playing with them, although she did like her alone time, when it was quiet. And besides, the petite little femme wasn't the sort to be drowing everyone in affection all the time. She did show more of that affection to Denge and Ithi than the cubs, though, simply because she always had. She loved the pair of them more than she could express; they were her foundation, her protectors, her providers, and they were always there for her when she needed them, despite having four other children to look after besides her.
She looks at Dharba consideringly, a little smile on her maw. He wanted to come with her on her explorations? Today, she intended to look for Rahima. She hadn't seen the femme since their brief meeting, and she wanted to again, very much. Family should see each other more often than she'd seen Rahima. And she hadn't yet met these cubs Rahima said she had, either, the prospect of which she found interesting.
"All right," she says eventually, getting to her feet. She stretches again, rolling her shoulders a little. "You can come, Dharba. We're going to see if we can find the nice lion I met before."

The small cub smiled as she agreed, he was happy to be going wandering at last. It got annoying with his brother and sister, and he had snapped at them on a varied amount of occasions.
He didn't say much as he got up and stretched, he maybe younger then Ny but he wasn't really that much smaller, Ithi had been fast to grow and her cubs had obviously inherited it. Dharaba didn't mind, he liked to look big and strong, if he was or not, he didn't care too much!
He liked Ny, she was the only one he didn't attempt to boss around. Maybe because she was so sweet and somewhat smaller then them? He didn't know, he could talk to her and it was always good to be able to talk to someone in the family!

"C'mon," she murmurs, beginning to head down the incline that led to the jungle floor of the Umande'mfuni lands. It was at the bottom that she'd watched Rahima disappear, and although she didn't know exactly where the femme had gone, she was determined to find her. Today.
"Watch where you're stepping," she calls over her shoulder. She was more sure-footed going down this hill than she had been before. She hadn't fallen or stumbled in ages. It was quite an achievement for the fairly clumsy cub.

He continued not to say anything but just followed her down. Walking incredibly slowly while going down the hill, a few rocks slipped under one of his paws which he quickly retracted.
As he reached the bottom he rested a little. "That is a huge cliff when you are going down it on your own!" He panted. He had never walked down there, only been carried!

At his words, she looked back up the hill, before nodding. She supposed it was quite a big hill, yeah. She didn't think about it all that much anymore, to be honest. She was used to the steepness.
"Do you need to rest, little brother?" She tilts her head as she looks at him for a moment, before letting her eyes scan the trees. Which way did Rahima go...? She thought it was that way, to the right of them, but she wasn't all that sure. Ah, well. Only one way to find out.

He looked up and shook his head, he was really bad at showing weakness, he wouldn't do anything that would make him look weak in his eyes! "I am fine, lead the way!" He smiled and glanced back up the hill, there was no sign of either of his mothers so he was ok going off with his sister for a bit.

She nods, and sets off in the direction she'd picked to move in. Dharba was very much like her; she didn't like others seeing her flaws, either, and got very snappish when they did. As he probably knows, and knows well.
"I don't actually know the way. We're going to have to look for where we're going."

He looked up at her, green orbs scanning the area, "Who are we looking for?" If he had a rough idea then there was a chance that he could help her, at the moment he was nothing more then a tag-a-long!

"Rahima. A lion I met not long ago. She's family." She couldn't remember the exact word that Rahima had used for herself. Granm...? Gran...? No, it wouldn't come to her mind, let alone her tongue. But Rahima had said she was family, and Ny had no reason to believe she wasn't, and family was the most important thing to the little cub, whether that meant blood ties or not. She may not be overly-affectionate, but she had her priorities right, at least.
There was nothing wrong with being a tag-a-long, in her opinion. When she managed to convince Zimwi to take her around the jungle, she was always following around after him. It was fun. Especially when they played and bumped and pounced each other, because she was bigger than Zimwi, if only a little, even though he's a juvenile. Made the fairly petite cub feel proud.

"Family?" He was curious but followed none the less. If she was family to Ny, then she was his family as well! That and he had to be the big brave brother if trouble came along, after all Ny was female and males had to do the fighting, though when they got to adult hood they were pretty useless after all! They just sit doing nothing while females love each other and have familys!

"Yes, family, Dharba. She has cubs, too." Ny didn't know how many there were, though. Or if there were boys, or girls, or girls and boys. She'd never thought to ask, to be honest. Rahima and the beetle had been her sole focus, and she'd been content with the promise that she'd meet the cubs soon. Of course, that had been a little while ago, and Nyunya wasn't known for her patience. So she was looking for them all today.
She hops onto a large tree root to look around, before jumping down and heading further into the jungle. She'd hoped to see Rahima from a higher vantage point, but the attempt had been unsuccessful. Not even a flash of red fur. Not even a flash of any fur, for that matter. She sighs lightly as she continues, looking over her shoulder to make sure her little brother was still with her and hadn't wandered off. That was kind of a role reversal, wasn't it? Everyone ususally had to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't do a runner. Now she was keeping an eye on others. Maybe it's the age difference.
