Concerning Crew Members
I have tooken dark rae, Seeno, and Norrukki out of the Crew for the following reasons: They are either too inactive, or they barely do anything as a Crew member. Note that I am not and will not play favorited with adding/deleting Crew members. The only reason Tanakietsu is still part of Crew is that A. He was there when the Guild was first made, and helped me with everything. B. He has done a lot of 'mod-ly' acts and is always helping. C. He has been one of the few that has been online here almost everyday and he DOES own half of the guild.
Also note that when it comes the adding/deleting Crew members, friends do not exist. Like, if you know me well, you will still have the same amounth of chance to be on Crew as a person who do not know me at all. Please do not complain if you are taken off. Also, if you are added on to the Crew and wish to be taken off, please PM me. The Guild is growing and we might need more and more Crew members but there are also a lot of good people to choose from.
Gaia Updates
The August Items have been released! In the 2004 August letter, you will have a choice of either Anklets or Golden Laurels. These items are to honor the Olympics this year.

New Rares! The Space Monster Mask and The Space Monster Hunter Mask are based on the new moview, Alien Vs Predator. Because they are new, we suggest you to not buy them at a high price, but to wait for them to get common and let the price settle.

Guild Updates and Upcoming Things
Yes, the whole Guild is going to get a whole make-over sooner or later. Due to upcoming school and business of me and Tanakietsu so there is no telling when this will happen. But everything will be fixed for the new rules. As you might of noticed, all the OOCs have been deleted. Due to over chatting and not so much RPing, we have decided to just delete the OOC threads. The Hangout Thread is the only OOC thread left.
For advertisement, I have entered one of our Guild's banners in The Gaia Gabber. It is a Gaian magazine and hopefully the suscribers will see the ad and join our guild. Also, if you have any friends that love to Roleplay, please invite to come and join the Refuge.

We have also been wondering whether to delete members who never posted or to not delete them. They have been taking up a lot of space, but if we delete them, our guild will be farther to page one on the Guild Search than ever. Then, it'll be harder to attract more members, in which of those might contain some pretty awesome roleplayers. Please PM your opinion to me.

Concerning Crew Members
With 3 of the old Mods taken off, we have just recently added two new ones, who we hope will be more mod-ly then the old ones. The two new part of Crew is- Kira-Yamato-san and Talon the Diamond Star. They have contributed to the guild and our members have voted them for Crew. With us gaining members, we are still looking for another Crew to help us support the guild, so keep your hopes up and be the best you can.
Gaia Updates
First Gaian Olympics- To honor the Athens Olympics, Gaia has created an Olympic of their own. In the event, White Olympic Tshirts and Black Olympic Tshirts were handed out randomly from Gambino. To those who have missed the race, here is Gambino's version of it-

11:45am Looks like Ian's the first into the lake giving him the advantage. Edmund's hot on his trail but Sasha's a good swimmer so this might give her some advantage very soon!
11:58am What's This!? Why is Ian stopping at the bait shop? If i were him, I wouldn't blow my lead like that... A true champion doesn't waste time with shopping...sigh...
12:10pm Looks like Ian's little excursion cost him dearly... BWAHAAHAA. And Moira's back in the lead, she's got a fiery little temper that one. My good man Edmund seems to be picking up a lot of ground as well. GINO!! You get moving or I'm gonna--ahem... nevermind. BWAHAAAHA!!!
12:33pm OH HO HO HO HO... Just as I expected. Edmund has taken the lead. Ninja I tell you... Ninja. Learns from the BEST which is ME of course!! BWAHAHAHAAHA!!
12:50pm No Sasha! You're supposed to run the other way! Erm wait... Gino, now's your chance to get out of LAST PLACE!! Lousy good for nothing *mumble mumble*... What is this I see?! Ian stopping at the Jewelry store? Man, this guy can't pass up a deal now can he? Ah well, one less competitor from Barton...
12:57pm WHAT's THIS!? GINO in SECOND PLACE!? Sounds awfully famliar... not good enough son! You bring home the gold or nothing. BWAHAAHAHAAA!! (boy... Edmund is really pulling ahead)
1:20pm As they approach their hometowns, looks like Edmund and Moira are neck and neck... those two have REALLY pulled ahead! Gotta hand it to them, really showin their town spirit like that. HEAR THAT GINO?!!
2:32pm Now on his home turf, Edmund is holding his lead as I expected.. such endurance and speed!!! Moira seems to have gained ground in another busrt of speed! Interesting... And Sasha!!! What are you doing!? She's totally lost! *sigh* Ian and Leon are holding steady... and Gino.. what am I to do with you son!? If you lose this race.. I'll give you WHAT FOR!!!
2:52pm What's this??? Edmund what are you doing?!?! This is no time for that sort of thing!! Hmm she is quite pretty though...
2:55pm Not good. Edmund get a MOVE ON!! I go money riding on this erm-- um...yeah...so I see Ian is shopping again(what is he thinking?) ... Moira is back in the lead... man is she UNPREDICTABLE...
3:10pm That's MY MAN Edmund! Back in the lead! BWAAHAAHAAAHAAA... But man, this REALLY is a CLOSE race! Well, except for Gino... *sigh* Son! Son! Listen to me. Remember the old Gambino motto. WIN. AT ALL COSTS.
3:35pm Looks like everyone is back on track. Even I don't know who's gonna win. This feels strange. I usually know what will happen since I am the MOST POWERFUL MAN IN GAIA! Ah well, this feeling of not knowing... makes me truly feel ALIVE!! BWAAHAAAHAA!!
3:58pm GINO. Now's your chance. You know what to do. What?! Don't talk back to me. It's NOT cheating I assure you. DO IT. DO IT NOWWWWWWWW!!!!!
4:48pm The racers have finally entered Barton town! THIS IS THE FINAL STRETCH and naturally Edmund has fought his way to the front again~!!! Ahhh this man reminds me of myself...
4:58pm Edmund!? Vanessa!?!? What is this treachery... this simply isn't the time for such activities!!! I'd expect something like this from a lesser man... while on that note.. where is GINO.. Son! The honor of the gambino family is riding on your shoulders! DON'T FAIL ME NOW!!! The rest of the racers seem to be holding even with Sasha taking a bit of a lead.. this is getting exciting!
5:17pm GINO!!! THAT'S MY SON!!!!!!
5:25pm HMM It seems Sasha's keen sense of direction has kicked in again BWAHAHAHA!!! Gino.. if you win this race... I'll let you eat at the dinner table again!!!!
5:38pm Aha!! Sasha seems to have found her way again! With all that water coming up she will definitely gain an advantage.. Gino!!! How can you be this slow.. ARE YOU WORTHY TO BE MY SON???
6:20pm *RING!* *RING!* *click* JOHNNY K. GAMBINO, talk to me. WHAT THE--!? Edmund? Where've you been man?! I got money on you. What? Oh. Well, in that case... Well, you gotta do what you gotta do. NAH. It's all good man. I understand. Really. NO NO. REALLY. It's cool man. KAY, lates. *click*
6:45pm SON OF A-- GINO!!! YOU LITTLE-- CaN't believe-- *sigh* PATHETIC.
7:45pm THE RESULTS ARE IN! FIRST IN IS MOIRA... Followed by Sasha in second. Ian rounds out the bronze with 3rd and Leon gets nothing for finishing 4th. Gino... *sigh* You brought shame to this family. We'll talk later. Edmund is Disqualified.

Hello fellow Refugees! Halloween is comming up so roleplay and hangout with your spookiest and scariest ghost stories. Booo! It's halloween time. wink
Not only is Halloween one of the most coolest holidays! But Gaia is having another Halloween Event! More to come on future events.

Due to inactivity by some of our members, we have made a 'sign in' for all members and if they don't sign in, they're er...well..banned.
Even though this is hard on members just joining the guild, it is like a little test to see if a member will stay active within the threads of our guild's forum.
Even though I was not the moderator who has thought of this idea, I will propose some additions to the idea.
READ: ALL MEMBERS THERE WILL BE UPDATES IN THE FUTURE, keep posted on activity and you will 'survive'.
UPDATE 20/11/04: The number of post needed before the deadline is 20.

With the new year, 2005, We've added a new crew member: Mou.
We have also some-how with Mou's help accumulated a 'mascot' type thing. stare It's super creepy to me.
We have also done a 'spring cleaning' type thang with the new Rules and Purge thread combined into a, what I like to call: Uber Anouncement.
We hope to have the same luck as 2004 with the new beginning and to end 2005, with an even better guild for all of our members to enjoy.
So ends the post on February 5, 2005 by the current captain.

Well well well, I've decided to show myself again, after a month long of having the worst connection ever. Since we need to have the main cable replaced; the one underground, I've decided to use this time as a short vacation. Most of the current members probably don't even know me, but I am still captain and until I regain all access to internet at home, Talon is my temporary replacement. Fear him as you would have me if I'd been around.

There comes a time in all guilds, where revamping the home-page is needed.
I've scanned all the banners we have had, and none of them are what I'm looking for. We've had a successful time here at the Roleplay Refuge; more posts than I'd like to count if I was forced too, and more members than I've ever expected. From my experience here at the refuge: I think what we need is a new bold, yet somewhat secretive banner, one that means more than all of the ones we have combined. The banner will symbolize our pride too be members of the Roleplay Refuge.

I'm sorry to say, but this is my last hour and a half on gaia. For I am 'retiring' forever.
Some of you don't know me, but I am, and was the captain of the guild.
I am handing over my trusted guild to Kira, a devoting mod who as I can recall is the second oldest member of the guild I know, next to me that is.
Farewell, my loyal members.
Remember, I'll always be on messenger.
