Left to die by her father and abandoned by her mother, Jesabelle is very shy. She has a slight resentment towards men, but loves the company of anybody. One reason she joined up with a pirate crew is because she had no other friends as an orphan. She has almost no sense of humor, making her solemn and serious all the time.

She was given the nickname 'Karma' because she would have a knack of attracting bad luck and good luck depending on what she had or had not done. Not only that, but, of course, Jesabelle believes in karma, though most people don't.

Jesabelle has a low tolerance for alcohol, and is therefore almost always in a horrible hangover. She is always drowsy and is more of the 'get-the-hell-away-from-me-or-I'll-slap-you' type.

Not being the social type is bad, but not being the social type and joinging up with a pirate crew may (or may not) have been the biggest mistake of her life.
