Like any guild, the LFGG obviously has some rules that members have to follow. Failure to follow these rules will result in warnings, and, if nessecary, a ban from the guild (Most likely temporary.)
And here they are 1.Obviously, this guild is for discussion of the works and characters of Tolkien, not Jackson or Bakshi.
2.Use english. Or Sindarin and Quenya if you want. But not Chatspeak (in ecessive amounts), and not Grelvish. Please. (What's Grelvish? Go here ).
3.Nobody is to be deliberately hurtful or mean to another guild member. This guild was created for discussions, not fights bringing ill-will to the guild and its members, and if banning is the only way to prevent this, so be it.
Also, If a dispute or a different view of opinions gets out of hand the member responsible for the continuation even after a stop has been asked will be temporarily banned.
This includes carrying on the coversation in really tiny letters. Once one person calls a halt to the disagreement (in a way that says "Ok, let's agree to disagree", not "Ok, I'm obviously right, so just give up"), or other guild members step in and tell you to drop it, it should CEASE. Just like that. No last word. At all. Not even in tiny writing
4.Each member may lay claim to one, and only one, character. First come, first serve. (As far as the list goes anyways)

Ok, so you want to join the LFGG. You're obsessed with the works of Tolkien, know certain parts of the books off by heart, and beleive that Glorfindel/Beren/*insert your fave character's name here* is the coolest thing since sliced bread.
The big question is: How do you join? Well, it's fairly simple. Just follow the steps below:
Step One:
Create a PM and Fill out the answers to the following questions:
Your favorite Tolkien Character? Why?:
Your favorite Character within the Fellowship of the nine walkers? Why?:
Your least favorite Tolkien Character? Why?:
Your least favorite character within the fellowship of the nine walkers? Why?:
Why do Tolkien's works appeal to you?:
Which is your favorite Tolkien work? Why?:
Why do you want to join this guild?:
Step Two:
Send the answers to the guild's mule account: Maedhrohir. Any tests sent anywhere else shall be deleted without a second glance.
Step Three:
Apply to join the guild. (Click that button on the guild home page). Please do not wait for a response before doing this. It is easier on the person checking applications to not have to send PMs to each individual applicant. (Even though we do enjoy it when we can).
Step Four: If you have gone over a week without being either accepted or denied, PM Lithwen and harrass her into checking the mule account. Having a busy life is no excuse for leaving you all hanging.
PS. SPELLING WILL BE CONSIDERED IMPORTANT IN THE SCREENING TESTS. IF YOUR FAVOURITE CHARACTER IS "LEGOALS" OR "BORAMER" GO JOIN A GUILD DEDICATED TO THEM. THEY'RE CLEARLY NOT TOLKIEN CHARACTERS
