As I posted on another thread, my newly aquired husky, Matsi was due to give birth to a litter of puppies within the week. Well she had her litter on Wednesday morning (sorry I'm just now getting around to posting it), the first one at 4:50 AM. She had five all together, three females and two males. The last female was born a full twelve hours after the other four, but she was a still-born, and that's probably why. The two males were the first two born, one is sliver like his mother and the other one is black and looks exactly like "Indy", one of the only two dogs that could be his father. The two live females were also silver like their mommy. Their names are Cheska and Aurora. The males are Nicolai (Nikki) and Tosya. They're all doing fine so far. Matsi is being an excellent mother and has been doing everything she needs to be doing. We already have a half dozen people inquiring about taking them when they are weaned. But of course, we can't decided anything until they're 8 weeks. I'll have pictures up in a day or two, I think I've finally got my digital camera to start working again, so yeah....pictures soon..... sweatdrop

I thought I'd give you all an update on the pups. They are a month old as of last Wednesday and they're doing great! ^_^ They've all got their eyes open of course, they're walking, barking, howling even. They all just look like a bunch of fluffy teddy bears, but I know that won't last for long. sweatdrop
We've sent in their DNA test to check who their father is, so I'll update that as soon as I know. I've also picked out all of their kennel names for when we register them.

Lakota (Black male): Badgerdens High Expectations
Nicolai (Silver male): Badgerdens Uh-Oh Spagetti-Os
Cheska (Silver felmale): Badgerdens Oops A Daisy
Chemukh (Silver female): Badgerdens Potential Asset

I'll try to post more updated pics ASAP, so yeah, I'll do that when I can.....wish me luck on finding them good homes! whee

I haven't posted pics in awhile, but the puppies are getting huge, and I have updated pictures, finally so....

these are the three grey pups, two females and a male

This is a group shot, with Nicoli running away.....

here's another group shot. Lakota is the black one, Nicoli is the one sitting up, and Cheska and Chemukh are the two lying down.

and although we sent in the DNA test to determine who their sire was, it turned out we didn't need to, because of the two male it could have been, one was sterile so the puppies father is for sure Badgerden's Indulgence (picture posted above)

Oh, they're adorable! They must be quite the handful to deal with.

that's an understatement.... sweatdrop
and now we're starting to house break, so things will only get tougher, but seeing them go to new homes and train for the show ring with be worth it all.
I may still be a junior handler, but now I really understand the dedication breeders put into each litter they help raise.
