Walmart is evil they are like other evil coorperations, responsible for immigrants having to come to the us. first they go down to mexico and sell all thier things cheaper than the local farmers and small stores which destroys job opportonities so they come to the us for some work, also if you think the presedent of mexico will help no because hes the ex-presedent of coka cola. im saying this because we got to boycott those huge cooperate bastards not just walmart im going to do a little buit more research and find the other cooperate scum bags too.

I hate Wal-mart. Not only are they're goods complete crap and their food is never fresh, they treat their workers horribly. I hate seeing all the nice little stores put out of business when one moves into town.
My Spanish teacher had a funny story about her friend. He's completely against Wal-mart and has never shopped there once in his life. They were at a concert and someone offered him a water bottle, it had a Wal-mart label on it, so he refused. Then later he was talking about how he got some beer really cheap from Sam's Club. He didn't know it was owned by Wal-mart and was super shocked when they told him.

You can keep an eye on some corporations thru: www.corporatewatch.org www.businessethics.org
These sites evaluate corporations and tell you how responsible or irresponsible they are.

Iain: Yeah, Wal*Mart is a bane of fair trade and equal opportunity. But before you decide to go save the world or something, take a communications class. Calling things "evil" doesn't attract anyone but the extremists, and your appalling mechanical and grammatical errors deprives you and those who rally behind you of credibility.
I'm all for taking down the corporate machine, but let's at least do it in a literate and articulate fashion so we have a chance of garnering some useful help.
There's nothing "classy" about being uneducated.

Lord Thatlatu of the Tofu I'm so mad at my mother! She shopped at Walmart! My family shops at WalMart all the time, and I'm not sure that I really give a damn. twisted Sure, I believe businesses should be ethical, but as a family of six on a limited income, we are looking for the best deals and most comprehensive stores... and WalMart and Sam's Club have those characteristics.

I received two Wal-mart gift cards for Yule.
I'm waiting until I'm flat-broke to use them.

Pirri I received two Wal-mart gift cards for Yule. I'm waiting until I'm flat-broke to use them. I'd probably donate them to someone poor enough to shop at Walmart. xp

I'd probably donate them to someone poor enough to shop at Walmart. xp I'm sorry, but I'm offended. Just because you might not be poor, and don't shop there, doesn't mean you should bash people for being poor or shopping there. It's a cheap store, and lots of people like to save money over being all "lets shop at this local store, even though its more expensive!". Also, my mom works in the Pharmacy there for a few years now. She's never said they treat her badly. confused

My mother refuses to shop at Wal-Mart, for which I am very happy! heh . . my dad's always teasing her aobut it. . Corporations are so horrible - they're so big that they can deny so much to their workers . . Ironic Things My friend, a die-hard socialist, worked at Taco Time for money, which was rather sad. Hot Topic is owned by The Gap.
