Update:
The Ball has been put on an official hold, on account of me being way too busy, no items have been donated (haha) and it seems that right now is not a good time for artists either, though I have recieved alot of feedback from them, thank you artists!
So sorry everyone, I'm not sure when it'll be put on~

That's right! L.A.I.D. is having a ball! A formal event that will be held in a subforum on a date that has yet to be released~
The ball will include:
Silent Art Auctions
Item Auctions
Surprise Events
Chatting, and fun!
This thread is here so that you can sign up if you'd like to do some art for an auction, or if you'd like to donate an item(s). If you think you'd like to sell some art, please supply a link or example of your artwork. ^^
All proceeds will be going to L.A.I.D.
This is simply a preliminary thread, so details have yet to be thought out. @_@

Like I said in the post, the details aren't sorted out yet. 3nodding That's what I meant. I only came up with this idea yesterday, but would like to know who would like to sign up for art or help with other things at an early date. DJ is very busy as you guys know, so I'm gonna be busy with this! Hopefully it will be really fun and everyone will enjoy themselves. I already have some friends who are great artists signed up, and if you guys know anyone, please ask them about it! heart

Awesome guys! 3nodding Yes i'm very busy. Lets just say i have more than one project in the making ninja INC should be released monday! And i'll hope to be at this ball but i do not know if my busy schedule will allow it. However, have fun, i've set up the LAID Ball Sub-Forum and enjoy yourselves! heart 3nodding

2 more questions:
-By "formal," do you mean I MUST go out and buy formal attire in order to attend, or can I throw something together that simply looks "respectable?"
-What's a silent auction? I thought it was going to be an auction on items and we find out what the item is only when we win, but then I saw that there would be item auctions as well. Does this mean there will be regular auctions as well, or does the silent auction mean something else?

1- Well no, of course not. confused It's just encouraged as a type of fun role play.
2- A silent Auction is just a normal auction on gaia, but in invitations they usually clarify like that, sorry to confuse you! Silent auction are when you just see what the last person bid, and you bid higher. It's just a fancy way of saying it. 3nodding

I go BACK to school on the following Tuesday. crying My summer vacation is from April 25th-May 7th, and that's only because my two exams are on the 24th and my classes start on the 8th. xd gonk crying
