A dark lion padded along through the tall grasses, coming from the direction of the Graveyard. He was, more or less, seeking out the lions he'd heard lived in the Pridelands. Toshiro stopped, looking around him at the greening grasses. There was antalope galore, as well as many other animals, far more than in directly around the Graveyard. It was... Breathtaking. And on the horizon, Pride Rock... The young lion, bordering on adolescence, stood tall, his one white paw crushing a shriveled plant as he started foreward. He had no idea who he'd run into, but his curiosity got the best of him. For the Maziko, it was the first step towards their pride having any kind of contact with other prides around them.

A second figure moved quickly behind the darker one, standing quite a fair distance away so as to keep.. unnoticed, if you will. It was an often trait of his to trail behind this older lion, in most cases to keep him out of danger, put him in danger, or keep him from causing any sort of commotion.
Rune wasn't all for running out into the pridelands like this. He hadn't minded it, however the back of his mind was still troubling with the thoughts of what was in store for him when he finally breached Mafa's cave.. Just another week or two and his previous would would be, for the majority, healed over, allowing him to run straight at it. Mafa wouldn't even know what hit her.
This idea pleased the near adolescent, keeping his mind preoccupied while he strolled onward, ducked low so as to keep his whereabouts somewhat hidden. He'd become a master of stealth beforehand, with help from the graveyard, although now his steps were carelessly clumsy and loud. Thanks of that was the stupid little limp now stuck in his stride, evidence from where it came from still etched on his foreleg.
This didn't slow his pace down however, oh no. So he trudged on through the heat, his brow painted coat sticking out not nearly as bad as his brothers, who remained a decent bit ahead.

Three black paws and one white stopped, silver-tipped tail twitching. Toshi's right ear flicked, seeking out the sound of someone approaching. Green eyes turned towards the cub, though missed it. He wasn't, after all, used to the grasslands like Nkechi was. His gaze turned to look behind him, trying to seek out his sister. The black youth swore she was following him, he really did! Where WAS she?
