Which is sooner? If your mission, then don't worry about college for now. Maybe go to a smaller community college or something and focus on preparing for your mission. The best advice I can give you though is to put the Lord first. If you do that, he has promised he will take care of us. Maybe you should be asking him what he does.

i'll get a full year of college before my mission, and with all the AP credit i'm getting going to a small school wouldn't be very helpful. And to cap it all off, with what i want to go into my choices are very limited.

How about instead, you work the entire year so your mission is payed off. that way it will ease the bruden on others of all those costs.

Pick that one! xD Seriously though, if you save enough for the mission, then the rest can go for getting you on your feet for college~. The lord will provide, he always does. ^__^ Good luck with that.

School is really important, but have you ever heard that saying about taking a hair and holding it away from you at an arm's length towards the sun? The distance from your head to the hair is how long you were in the premortal world, the width of the hair is your time on earth, and the distance from your hair to the sun is the rest. I think it's a good idea to put the Lord first, don't you?

nerd-freak fast and pray, simple as that. I agree. Definately pray and ask for guidance in your decisions. The Lord knows what's best for you, who knows, maybe he's saving the best for last!

My two cents: fast and pray, definitely, always and especially about such majorly important life decisions. Also, look into working and saving for your mission and your college and ask your bishop if there's anything he can do to help. He might be able to point you in the direction of other scholarships or help you find a job. Lastly, try adjusting your expectations of yourself-- don't feel you have to finish college in four (or however many) years. If you have to work through college and take a little longer then you do what you have to do. God's not standing there with a stopwatch. smile
