Hmm .. o.o this happens to me quite often, except that it usually triggers a panic attack, so it's not that great for me .. xD
I guess you could call it a trance .. it's often referred to as being 'in the zone' - where everything is very clear. When a person meditates they reach this state as well, at least sometimes. It is easier to astral project in this state as well.
I don't know about pushing open doors though, except by physical means. ^^;

I was up for 32 hours straight yesturday. I felt like I was floating, but thats for a different reason. My mom was talking and it felt like a dream. Like, man it is hard to explain. Like nothing is real.... Imma insomniac.

That's what it feels like to me too - like everything is a dream, and I'm kind of trapped in samsara. >_<
That's what scares me. I feel like I'm falling off a cliff at that point and there's nothing to grab onto.
When I take benadril or ambien though - it's similar, but no fear. I just feel very light and clear and pleasant.

I sometimes have that lightheaded feeling, but I'm usually in bed when it happens and I have the strong desire to not get up and I usually need to get up to do something. My head usually feels like it's not attatched or something

I have anxiety and panic attack problems, and that's how I feel before that happens to. Sometimes, if I get really depressed I sink into a really very calm state and that happens as well. =D

I've had that happen to me before. I walked into a bookstore also and my head started to buzz and my feet became lighter, my heart started pounding. I got this strange feeling, I walked around the store and discovered I didn't know where I was going. I stopped infront of the new age section and I just reached out to something. It was a deck of oracle cards. I wanted them, but I was with my mom and I was afraid to ask. I left the store feeling like I lost apart of myself.
