Your shading is a little off.
But who am I to judge.. I can't draw for s**t.

alot of the shading on the face didn't even show up in the scan. the real pic looks a lot better.

First of all it's not dumb. He is a) attractive and therefore prone to become a model for us artists and b) very cartoon-like in appearence and thus easier to draw.

Secondly, I think it is very good.
