I was (and still) a dedicated Maggot
but since i got into Cradle of Filth, i am tending to listen to them more then the Knot, because of the (sic) poetry of Dani Filth
in my opinion, u cant really compare Metal with Black Metal...
two diff styles

Cradle of Filth is a black metal juggernaught. dani's ability to compose sickiningly dark and disturbing lyrics is unparalleled. paul rocks my socks. gian pyres(RIP) was a badass. Filth just owns. Slipknot may be good, but the filth is infectious!

Cradle are more of a fun band...I love to sit there listening to Dani's voice. Their more comedy than 'KnoT. But both bands are great. You can't make me chose

i would have to say both, but if they had a concert on the same day, at the same time, in my town..... i would choose SlipKnoT for the pure simple fact i know more people that like SlipKnoT..... that way i can get a free ride or something...

I actually hate Cradle with a passion. Dani's voice annoys the crap out of me. I joined this guild when it was just SlipKnoT and that's why I'm still in it.
