Ok, this has been bothering me for some time now. The complaints about no one knows the members anymore and that it has doubled in size, etc. Yes, we have over 700 members, yes we do have some new faces, why is this a bad thing?
First of all, there may be only about 50 members or so that are active.
Second, several of those members are still guild accounts and members' gallery accounts, etc.
Everyone is, in my opinion, still friendly just like they were when I first joined. I guess I just don't understand.

I haven't seen the complaints as of late, but just like real life friendship groups, you can never expect them to stay the same forever, and that's ok. Things change as time goes on, and there's then a new definition and reality and perspective, and you just go with it; adjust with it. Guilds grow, members come and go, the atmosphere will shift, and you just gotta take now as now, even if you reminisce about the way things used to be. Things never stay the same, and we shouldn't expect it to. Just my 2g.

But things there have changed. I see it. The members that have been there from when I started complain all the time that it's such a mess, that it moves to fast, people are ignored, etc. This is simply not true at all. The board hasn't been moving that fast. Most of the time, but not always, I will have posts on the board that will still be there in the morning or I would post in the morning and it will still be there at night. I don't think that's too fast.
Yes, maybe things were different when it was 021. I wasn't around then and everyone seems to just not discuss how things were then. It's like it's some big secret that I shouldn't know about.
Oh well, I guess I will just let it go.

I have no problems with it. Yup, things change. That, however, is a fact of life.
Some days I lurk more or less than others, but it is one thing I don't forget to do. I always catch up on the board, though some days I have forgot my dailies.. or at least many of them, but I don't forget to check the board.
Yeah, some days I think it would be nice if the guild was smaller... but really.. how many other people have 3 (or more) accounts in it? So the number isn't really as big as it shows.
I like the Neo Couch. I don't want to be without it.

Oh well, I guess I will just let it go. It's not. If you have questions about it, please ask. It is a painful subject for some, and we try to move on, and complaining about it sometimes makes me think I can never get over it, but it's not a secret or anything. It just caused a lot of rifts between people and groups of people. The Purkle Couch was originally created to keep together those of us from O21 who still wanted to be together, but to get rid of some of the ugliness, ie. not throw people out for disagreeing, and to be more relaxed and flexible with a 'go with it!' attitude that mommytig and billy brought.

I agree Bippy....the Neo couch is one of the first things I do in the morning and I check in frequently during the day. As a matter of fact I feel way more comfortable on the Neo guild than I do here. If I post with a question, I get rather quick responses, and everyone is very friendly. Here I'm not so comfortable. I feel left out and ignored at times when I post so lately I haven't even really bothered to check in. I do check in occasionly, mostly on Bippy's bump thread or to see what new creations Lass has come up with on the TekTek thread. Other than that, I feel that I shouldn't even bother because no one is going to answer me anyways

things get missed on here same as they do on Neo, don't feel put out by it though Jess, it's good having you over here so i hope you continue to visit 3nodding when i remember to have a read of the guild board i see a lot of faces that i don't know, but i also remember when i was a new face and i was welcomed. Roo I.M'ed me and helped me out with a problem when i was a very new Purkle and i've always been grateful for that. 700 members now huh? i remember when it topped 500 3nodding After getting used to the format here i do find the Neo board hard to read, especially as the pages aren't numbered anymore neutral Maybe another one of my small habit changing efforts should be to drop in on Neo and familiarise myself with the board again, i've missed out on many, many FFF's twisted

I've heard several people say they feel ignored or their posts aren't replied to on here. Do you know of a question you had that went unanswered? If so, please ask again, because it may have been missed. Another thing is that if someone doesn't know the answer, they won't reply. Same thing often happens on the council board because someone doesn't know the answer or have a good reply and leaves it to someone else, and the 'someone else' doesn't check in for a while to answer, or misses it. Nibbles seems to have disappeared, or maybe she's busy. Butterfly still isn't back from having computer problems, although it's been ages. And things have been a lot less chatty here lately. I'm hoping it will pass..
And please, if anybody has issues with anybody else, can we talk it out? I don't want that to be why people aren't chatting, especially if it turns out to be misunderstandings or misassumptions. I for one am not angry or upset in any way with anybody, but if anybody else is, I'd hate for them to harbor those feelings until they explode. neutral

Yes, I know of a question not responded to. I asked in the fun and games section in the easter hunt if it was going to happen and got no answer until after I posted again and still never really got an answer except that Fawn was going to be away.
Also, I don't post much on the yahoo group much as I don't know everyone there. I do keep up with it but after being flammed from Connie (privately) for answering a question she had about avatars, I just am not comfortable there. I apologized to Jaz for upsetting her friend even though I still don't understand what I did wrong. That just really hurt and I can't forget it.

Well, if it is any consolation... I (finally) posted on the neo couch last night, and it has been ignored by almost a full page of people postng all morning. So much for hoping the neo couch might have actually missed me crying **although, my whole post was based on the fact that someone from there thought of me enough to mention my name whn EPC was game of the day and then a purkle who frequents all the boards let me know my name was mentioned... rolleyes

Your post was a response to Kerr Lizzy. I read it and didn't think it required a response. However, your most recent one does smile

I suppose only one person could answer that question, and she hasn't been posting here as of late. Despite talking to her, I think she still must have hard feelings regarding the unpeel the wickeds thread. I'm sorry people don't feel comfortable various places. I don't know how I can make things better. Maybe it's nothing I can do.

All I wanted this topic to be for is to find out why the neo couch is put down so much when it's still a great place to be. If it's not, I would like to know why so that can be changed.
Same with here, it's so quiet lately. We need to get this resolved so things can go back to normal. We are adults for heaven's sake.
Fawn, I'm just I guess afraid to post much on the yahoo couch because I don't want flammed again. It's not friendly there like it is on the neo couch.

Same with here, it's so quiet lately. We need to get this resolved so things can go back to normal. We are adults for heaven's sake. Fawn, I'm just I guess afraid to post much on the yahoo couch because I don't want flammed again. It's not friendly there like it is on the neo couch. I like the NeoCouch, although I admit to liking it a bit more before the fun became a bit "restricted". The people on Neo are nice and helpful and it's a real community of adults who know how to have a bit of fun now n' then. The 700 people don't bother me in the slightest, although the dynamics of who's who and who's active have changed a bit. That, however, is life. It's kinda fun to see the newer folks there, playing and chatting and helping out. The Yahoo Couch, I'm resigning from as soon as I find the unsubscribe link (I emailed you, fawN, for this yesterday). I won't bother with my list of "why" except to say that I don't need to be flamed (or see others get flamed) for no reason and there's been a plethora of flaming going on there lately. I find it juvenile at best. This Couch, I'm not sure what to say about since it seems to keep "disappearing". Now, I realize some of you think I'm somehow involved with whatever 'unresolved' things may be going on here, but (if you all haven't figured it out by now), I speak my mind, but I don't hold grudges and you can pretty much take me on "face value". If *ever* anyone has a question or concern or whatever about me, what I'm doing (or not doing), just IM/PM/NM me... simple. I don't play games; don't believe in them. BTW - sometimes, it's not up to "you" to "fix" things that are perceived of as being "wrong"... some things can not be changed or fixed to accomodate everybody's egos, whims, or thoughts how something *should* be. The bottom line is that it is up to every individual to decide how to take things and how to react to them... "you" can not change it. It's up to "them". And right now, I am going to go enjoy my birthday afternoon instead of dealing with this kind of stuff any further today... Have a good day.
