Arukoru was sitting in the park, pretty much minding his own business. It seemed only normal now for a cigerate to be hanging out of his mouth if he was away from his adoptive family... Or Rune's family for that matter. He had snuck out of the Traverse household with the excuse he needed some fresh air.
.. Oh he needed some kind of air alright...
He was idly sketching in a note pad that was boosted up in his lap. And it looked as if he was drawing a woman. Arukoru then let out a sigh as he flicked the ashes off the tip of his cigerate, before he rested the said hand on his forehead, studying to see if he had made any mistakes.

"Aren't you a little young to be smoking?" Erik cocked his head to one side and leaned against a nearby tree.
Spy had shoved him out of the house soon after she got home from school, telling him that he needed to get out and meet people. Not wanting to stay around the building, he had wandered to the park.
Shifting his weight, he pushed himself off the tree and walked over to the younger Kinder. "So... what are you drawing?"

Arukoru looked up when the boy spoke, smirking as he tossed the butt onto the ground and smushed it out with his sneaker. "Everyone's too young to be smoking, yet they do it anyways." He said, before he watched the male aproach. He then looked down at his drawing and rotated it, holding it up so he could see. "Eh, I'm not sure. I just started sketching and this is what came out." He said, with a half hearted smile.
The picture was still in ruff sketch mode for the most part. The only thing fully detailed was the face. It looked like a woman with long black hair and bag wings, with her arms hugged around her chest to hide herbreast. At the same time a devil tail curled around her front, while her head gazed off to the side sadly. "I guess I'll just say it's my inner demon."

"Hmm... a rather sad inner demon. Female as well. Very interesting. I'm not much of an artist, but your picture does look good." Erik stopped short, a small smile emerging as he shook his head. He turned, taking a seat next to Arukoru. "I'm Erik by the way. What's your name?"
He gave Arukoru a curious glance, leaning forward to rest his arms on his knees.

Alida walked down the sidewalk, one arm holding her ever present notebook and the latest book of poetry she had bought on her way home from high school, and the other clutching at the fringed shawl she wore over her long dress, even in the warm spring sun.
As she walked, she noticed ahead of her two boys... they seemed to be kinder... She saw that she would pass by their bench, and though she didn't recognize them more than vaguely, she wondered what they were up to. So she slowed as she drew near, moving at a gentle stroll as opposed to her more brisk pace she had abandoned, hoping to catch the gaze of at least one of them.
They probably won't even notice you, Alida. Just go home and read your poetry. It isn't as if you could add much to their conversation. Not only that, you can't draw, and that's definitely a sketchpad.
She sighed, admitting that the inner voice was probably right, but couldn't she go and look at the art anyway? And stopping to... well... not to talk, but to 'converse' with other kinder wasn't out of place.

(( I don't know when Tenshi is gonna post, so I will ))
Erik sat back, surveying the park as he wait for Arukoru's answer. Out of the corner of this eye, he spotted another person coming towards them at a rather brisk pace. She didn't seem familiar to him, but then again, a lot of Banir didn't look familiar to him at all. The girl slowed as she spotted them. He could she from her eyes that she was trying to remember if she knew them.
<Well, she won't know me, that's for sure.> He allowed a small grin to excape as he turned his gaze towards the sky. <If Spy wants me to get out and meet people, then I will.>
Without any warning, he stood up and turned to the girl. He let out his warmest smile and waved, hoping she would catch the hint that he wanted to say hello.

"I'm Arukoru." He said pleasantly, which was a surprise considering his apearance. He looked like your typical punk or goth. He then watched as Erik stood up as another girl aproached. His gaze quickly went to her aswell.. Aru himself wouldn't admit it, but he was starting to build a phobia agianst wemon, even though he loved receiving attention from the opposite sex.. Not in a sexual way, just any general attention at all. He joined Erik in smiling, best be friendly.
"Hello." He said to the girl as she aproached, tucking his pencil in his sketch pad and closing it. "Do you two know eachother?"
((Sorry my reply was slow. >< I'll try and keep up better. *bow bow* ))

Alida had just neared the bench when one of the two stood up and greeted her. It was so sudden that she flinched away slightly, but recovered and waved back with a smile. She included the other boy in her greeting, though she was disappointed that his sketch book was now closed.
Now, how to greet them...? She wondered if either knew sign language, that would be the most elegant solution... but so far, those who did were few and far between. It was lucky she had her notebook and pencil.
She opened it up, and quickly wrote out, "Hello, to both of you. No, we don't know each other. My name is Alida," before passing it to Erik, since he was the closest. This was always the tricky part. She would know if it was worth the effort to stick around once they reacted to the fact that she had written it down instead of saying it.
Part of her was all set to accept that they would tease her, the part of her that was always ready to put her down. But she had to try, at least. One could always hope people would be nice about it, but in her experience, it seemed to be about fifty-fifty. Not good odds.

Shock briefly passed over Erik's face as the girl quickly opened her notebook and scribbled in some words. His confusion rising as she passed the notebook to him. The words, "Hello, to both of you. No, we don't know each other. My name is Alida,", written on the page. He smiled cautiously and handed the notebook to Arukora. <Perhaps she is a mute?> It made some sense, though he felt it rather uncomfortable to ask her straight out.
Shaking the thoughts from his head, he turned back to Alida and smiled. "Nice to meet you Alida."

She smiled back and inclined her head. He seemed nice enough, and hadn't gotten the superior look so many did when they saw her writing everything out. She turned to see Arukoru's reaction, now that he had the book.
As an experiment, she decided to try a bit of sign language. She looked at them both, and put her hands together with her right hand on top, then slid her right hand towards her fingertips. Next, she lifted her right hand, and curled all her fingers on both hand in except her index fingers. Her right hand moved down, coming to rest on top of her left hand, curled fingers touching and her index fingers a couple inches apart.
Would they understand she had signed "Nice to meet you?"

Arukoru looked at the notepad and his eyes instantly lit up a little. Oh, she was a mute. He then smiled and looked up to her, before he held it back out when she was done signing. "Your a mute? That's cool. I have a... brother of sorts who's also mute. He uses a little chalk board that he carrys around to camunicate with people.. But he hasn't gotten very good at it yet." He said, before his eyes went back to the other boy. He didn't want to gang up on him with the mute girl, but right now it seemed both their interests where on her.
"You know sign language? That's cool.. Oliver should really learn to do that..." He said, before he adjusted one of his red bangs. "Hopefully you two can meet sometime."

Alida nodded, smiling. She'd never met another mute kid, much less another kinder with the affliction. She took the notebook back and wrote, He'll get better at it. I used to use a chalkboard, too. But that was before I started writing longer sentences. Now I carry this notebook almost everywhere.
She paused, and then chuckled silently as she added, I have a stack of them on my bookshelf at home. Most of my conversations are documented, which could be useful for my memoirs.
She then held it out so the others could see it. After they took it, she moved towards the bench, and sat down on one edge, so she wouldn't be in the way. Her hands moved automatically to pull her shawl around her shoulders and smooth her skirt.

(( Many apologies for the lateness. I might have to pull myself out to prevent you two from furthering this RP ><; ))
Erik smiled as he read what she just wrote. "That's good that you keep what you right. If you ever need to remember how you met a good friend, you can look back and laugh/cry/etc." He nodded, glancing down at his watch.
With a sigh, he shrugged, giving the two a small smile. "I've got to get going, but I'll see you guys around?"

Arukoru looked to the boy and nodded, before he bowed his head to him. "It was very nice to have met you." He said with a faint smile. No matter how depressed he was, he never forgot to use his manners. Seems he learned something in heavan when he wasn't drinking.
He then looked to the girl and her papper, before he smiled and nodded his head. "Looks like it's just you and me now.. Perhaps if you'd like I could get ahold of my brother so you could meet him? I'm sure he'd like that.. Or if you'd like we could go get an ice cream." he said. He wouldn't admit it, but Arukoru was desperate for companionship and attention. Even though he seemed to avoid it at most costs.

(( OMG, I'm sorry~ I guess we could just say this is a very slow moving RP. sweatdrop ))
Alida had checked the watch she had attached to her bag as Erik checked his, but she had time to spare. So she waved goodbye with a cheerful smile, nodded her agreement with Arukoru's statement.
Alida tilted her head at the mention of a brother. She wondered who that was... She started to smile, about to agree with that, but then ice cream was suggested, and the demonic teen's eyes lit up. She never could resist the chance to get ice cream.
So she nodded enthusiastically, and wrote down, Would your brother like to get ice cream? Maybe we could do both. I'd like to meet him, too.
