I got Jane Eyre for Christmas and just fell in love with the story and everything about it. It had one of my all time favorite endings, because it doesn't really seem too cheesy. It's one of my favorite books now.
Has anyone else read it? I recommend it if you haven't. 3nodding

Read it in English a few years ago, and really enjoyed it.

It depends on the book. There are lit classics I want to read, but I haven't gotten around to them yet.

Did enjoy Jane Eyre, though. More than Wuthering Heights.

I have it sitting right on my desk, not two feet away in fact, but I haven't had the time to get it read just yet sad I do like most classic English literature though, which is why I decided to buy this book when I saw it leather-bound for only $5

I thought it was pretty good. Jane Eyre is a little too mopey though (the character not the book).

I loved this book... I actually reread it last weekend... well all of it but st. John... talk about a character that bores me to tears... he's the perfect example of why you choose happiness in your life... he was happy dying as a missionary where as for Jane it would have been miserable... ^_^ I do love this book though...

Same here.

I just read it a few weeks ago for my 19th Century Novel class. Oh the symbolism!

I enjoyed Jane Eyre. My teacher gave it to me to read over Christmas Vacation. I loved the whole book, and I need to go somewhere and buy it...

I am a bigger fan of Wuthering Heights. Heathcliff doesn't mope and neither does catherine, they just go crazy.

I loved it! What was wierd though is after I read it, my older sibling had to read it for English class.

I love English literature, but I must say that Jane Eyre wasn't all too good for me. I prefer Wuthering Heights.

I love Jane Eyre. It is really good. A little depressing in places though probably less then Wuthering Heights, I mean to read that

I loved Jane Eyre and thoroughly disliked Wuthering Heights, so I can't vote in the pole. I liked A Tale of Two Cities, also.

Wuthering Heights is a unique book, so ignore it when making up your mind about classics.

I love Jane Eyre!

I first read it when I was in Grade Seven, and completely fell in love.

It wasn't like a sure thing, though. I was so bored during the beginning...When she was at school. It was when Rochester came into play that I really took interest in it. And then when she left him I got bored again...

XD So I think it's Mr. Rochester that makes the book for me. =P
