NA version: 18th April
JP&EU version: 20th April

New Jobs:
Puppetmaster (PPM)
Corsair (COR)
Blue Mage (BLU)

Overview on the jobs:
Puppetmaster: Potential jack-of-all trades. Can use different Puppets for different jobs. Support, tank, damage dealer. Not the best in any, good in all. Not very interesting in my opinion. Has H2H proficiency.

Corsair: Uses Hexa-gun, bullets are not bought. Gives buffs to PT depending on setup. Gambles by drawing cards, the sum over 11 = bust. Under; depending on the sum the buff will be different strong, weakest as 1, strongest at 11. Example: War in PT, Corsair gamles; everyone gets Double Attack for a small amount of time. Very interesting; needs good combos to buff up good. Might work well with BRD.

Blue Mage: Seems to be a soloing/burn PT combination. Each level you get an amount of skill points to put in different skills. You learn them after killing monsters that has those abilities.

Things to note:
low level HQ equipments will rise, as well as weaponry and ammo.
there will be a surplus of people levelling low-level jobs.
each pt will definetely be having a PPM, COR and a BLU.
will be a lack of whms and plds. if you don't have them levelled but wish to level them; bring them out, you'll get pts fast.

Places to PT at:
Everyone knows about Valkurm Dunes and Buburimu Peninsula.
There are alternative places to level at those places;
Jugner Forest, Maze of Shirakhimi, Carpenter's Landing and another place that I won't tell because it's my secret levelling place. =3

If I remember right, from how...Easy it is to get access to the new lands, I think the new areas might be of use to lvl in, too, since I thinkg SE mentioned that they'd make ToAU more of a low level oriented expansion. Yet, this is SE here so who knows.

Wait, where did you hear that PUP will be like a jack of all trades job, or is that just speculation.

And they said that the stuff like besige and assult are targeted to higher level people. Since a large portion of the player base is a high level now, it makes much sence.

PPM can use 3 different types of puppets.
Attack
Enhance/Healing
Tank

The PPMs abilities has been posted somewhere here... just can't remember where.... The Attack seems pretty powerful, PPM also gets nifty Ranged Attacks using harpoons and needles. The Tanks are semi ok... remember that the PPM takes damage when the Puppet takes damage. The enhance/healing is like a gimped BRD. They can only have one 'aura' at the same time.

Quote:
Puppeteer would be similar to Summoner and Beastmaster, in that the player would perform actions with a pet. Using different puppets, the player is able to fill different roles in the party.

Puppet HP is directly based on the puppeteer's HP. If the puppet is damaged, so is the puppeteer, and vice versa.

Techniques and abilities of the pupper cost MP, and their strength is based on MND.

A puppeteer is defenseless without his puppet, and therefore does not equip weapons. Instead, the puppet itself is equipped in the weapon slot. Each puppet has its own strengths and weaknesses.

Puppets attack and perform techniques by using different weapons. The puppeteer equips the weapons in his ammo slot.

Types of Puppets

Dragon Puppet
Slow but powerful attacker
Weapons: Needle, Launcher, Lance

Moogle Puppet
Supports the party with protective and healing spells
Weapons: Launcher

Shadow Puppet
Weak puppet with high defense and a powerful counterattack
Weapons: Needle, Lance

Launcher
