万 (man), 億 (oku), and 兆 (chou) are of course the Japanese equivalents of the English ten thousand, one-hundred million, and one trillion... Lately I've been trying to burn all the number patterns and rules after ten thousand into my head and it's kinda tough! stressed I'd say the most important thing to remember is that the complicated thousands come in, if you will, number bands at 10,000, 100,000,000, and 1,000,000,000,000...
Here's the layout of it all:
Let's take 4,908,752,080,931 for example... The bands would be...
4,907,752,080,931
...whereas 8 would mark the 10,000 band, 7 would mark the 100,000,000 band, and 4 would mark the 4 trillion band... Understand? sweatdrop

Oo that's a doozy.. as a rule I never went over 万 in my thinking... stare Just for dealing with money over there was the only reason to delve into those.. but thankfully up to 万 isn't very hard, LOL.
