I'm a plus sized cheerleader one of the few. I am very proud to tell you this because I feel like us plus sized people can do whatever the hell we want! edit by t0paz: what would you like to see more plus sized people doing?

when i was in high school, their was a plus sized cheerleader.
she made fun of the retarded kids; but she was really fat and had really small shorts, i believe her obvious short commings just happen to be overriden by that fact

And yes...I have seen a plus-sized cheerleader before....well actually a flag girl. The girl I saw was about 300lbs and doing the splits and kicks and dancing that the rest of the band/cheerleading squad was doing. At the time I was sitting beside a group of teens who thought it was funny. I had to laugh...but no offense, even though one is fat...you can be flexible at the same time. ninja sweatdrop

They wanted me to be a cheerleader last year because I'm charismatic, but I really didn't feel like being the "fat girl" and wear that skirt.

thats great for you, people dont realize, cheerleading is hard-freaking-core. If youve been involved in performance art you understand just how intensive it can be, more power to you!

That's Awesome!! i tried out for cheerleading in middle school didn't make it but now ppl are telling me to be a cheerleader wink but idk i dt think its for me but we do have some plus sized cheerleaders at my school 3nodding

But my joints also hyper-extend, so that could be one of the reasons blaugh I remember once in a school dance class we were to split up into teams and we were to make up our own routine blah blah blah and we ended up winning the mini-competition so I got like really happy and did the splits..yeah i know that sounds weird...anyway we went back into the locker room and all the girls were like astounded because I could do the splits. I was more surprised that they were surprised so I asked why they thought it was weird and they said cuz im bigger and they thought I could get hurt or something...that kinda stung but I got over it....and I just ranted.... redface sorry...
