Choir contest last Thursday was fun, but as our choir director put it, sight reading was a "blood bath." Sadly, for the first time in like... around 12 years or something, we didn't get Sweepstakes... We got 1s in all our performances, but both mixed and women got 2s in sight reading, but men managed to get away with a 1. They had only posted mostly the mixed choirs before we left, but of what I saw only like 3 schools had recieved 1s in both performance and sight reading. And I think that's the first time I've ever seen a 4 in anything... >___< Ya, one school got a 4 in sight reading, and a few other schools got 3s....
At least this wasn't like last year... last year we didn't get sweepstakes either for the first time in like 15 years, and a couple of freshman were in the back bawling their eyes out... I'm sorry, but I think that's a little pathetic if you're taking it that serious....

Our small group band/chorus contest was this past weekend. I got twos, mainly.
But our Brass Choir got a FOUR. Our music directors were miffed!

Our choir went on thursday, all girls choirs both got 1's on everything except one wich got a 2 in sight singing. Our mixed choir got a 2, they didn't do sight singing for a rate, just comments.
