So, what do you think your idea RPG game would be. (Come on, none of this "FINAL FANTASY is the perect RPG" stuff, I want some original ideas.)

Incase any of you new people didn't read one of my RPG comments, I have a program called RPG Maker 2003 and it rules. I would like to think of some ideas for either a story or a good RPG story. These ideas I am gonna impliment into the RPG maker and see how well it works out.

All in all, this is a SHARED IDEA. Any and all who wish to be involved may do so and will be given the proper credit. I would like to see some ideas either for a story, characters, monsters, or even just a world/planet.

Equipment that changed the character's look. I mean not just weapons and shield changing but the players clothes hat [Only saw it on Legend of Legaia (PS)].

You could also do this in Dragon Warrior. When you got a shield, that little character got a shield, when you got a helmet, your little character wore a helmet and so on...

But I understand what you mean. Actually see EVERYTHING you equip. If you buy a red suit, you should see a red suit. If you buy a golden sword, you should see a golden sword.

(BTW, Any of the "Elder Scrolls" games actually does that, although you only see in First Person, when you go to character view mode, you see all the stuff you equip. Now, in Morrowind, you can switch to 3RD person view and you CAN see all your equipment as viewed in Character View mode or Invetory screen. Just a note incase you didn't know, but I like that idea to.)

Sorry about that, the only Dragon Warrior I played was the 8 (Dragon Quest VIII) and only Hero and Jessica change clothes.

Yes, this is what I mean. Items that change for itself, not gathering each part to form a single clothe (like DQ VIII).

I will say that will be a difficult task to do, would require a lot of tedious work here and there, but I like that idea. I'll see what I can do about that. Good suggestion ShiryuShinDevil wink 3nodding

Hmmm, that would be an interesting idea, seeing as how not too many RPG games do that. I see beasts and monsters, but no real animals that really exist. Something I could try out, if only as a playable character... biggrin

Well, if you have any questions about 2003, please let me know. Some things might be so easy, you just can't see it. I had teh same problems when I first tried it.

Mine would be a totally odd RPG where the villain didn't wait around before trying to destroy you. Take Kingdom Hearts II, for example. The 1,000 heartless battle? Yeah, you'dve been doing that at the beginning of the game, puls the main villain would be down there fighting you as well, and they'd ALL be attacking at once, not just a 100 or so at a time. xd

Hmmm, a battle of wits and determination to see if you prove worthy of being able to fight the boss. I like it. Gives impression that you ARE fighting for your life and that if you wish to get anywhere in the game, you have to prove yourseld to the boss that you have what it takes to take him down, or at least let him know that there's a new player in town, and it ain't big enough for the both of you 3nodding xd

How about different areas that you could go to like extra towns that don't have anything to do with the story, and Dungons that have random monsters of different levels.

You thinking maybe like a Casino Land or like some town that has things like some useless items that do some really outragous things either in combat, or it could maybe let you teleport to places that you can't normally get to. Or do something like in Mario RPG for SNES when you reach the casino. Like, you have to perform a certain task or find a certain item to open up a side quest which lets you go to a town that has fun things. That what you mean?

Sounds good, I should do that.

I do like that idea of the Dungeon with Mutli-leveled creatures, not just level 5 or level 7 all at the same time, just mutli like mix in some level 5's with level 25 monsters. That's almost similar to the extra dungeon level on Star Ocean for PSX.

Ya that would be really funny. "Ok I entered this level 50 dungon and now I entered a battle and I said wtf when I saw a level 3 monster." This is not true but imagion what would the player think when they would see that, or a really weak monster that is really powered up. Like that level 3 monster is really a level 50. That might really surprize them. That could work with what you said about the towns or you could do what FF usally do and make a town like that, but have really strong weapons being sold there like in FF9. (Boy those ruby dragons where strong there.)
