 UVERworld is a J-Rock band on G8!Records under the Sony label. They were originally named 'Sangoku Road' but in 2003 changed to their current name and lineup. Though they had been around as a band for some time, they only broke into the mainstream in 2005 with the hit song D-tecnoLife. D-tecnoLife was used as the second opening to the anime BLEACH, which is why they received so much attention. Their second single, CHANCE!, became the commercial song for the PSP game BLEACH~Heat the Soul 2~ and was also used as the opening theme song for said game. Originally in 2003, UVERworld had seven members. However, the saxophonist and the vocalist left after this period, and the band decided on a new name. UVERworld was originally called 'Sangoku Road' TAKUYA∞ is the main force behind UVERworld because he writes the music, is the vocalist, and is able to play all of the instruments himself.
