Ithi had found herself in the cave, what she was doing there she dreaded. She could feel the sharp pains rushing through her body. She had seen this twice, not once had she wanted to go through it or expected to. What had Denge done to her?
She let out a vicious snarl, stretching her claws her clawed at the nearest rock she wasn't going let her cave look the same once these cubs were born. She was going to claw the place to pieces first.
She let out a loud roar that echoed, this was not going to be an easy birth.

Denge cringed slightly as she headed toward the cave, she had grown a little bit as Ithi had grown more and more pregnant. "Ithi.. are you okay?" She called into the cave, slightly afraid to go in there. Her tail flicked a little and she took a big breath, she'd never seen or heard Ithi like this before!
Luckily she'd sent Ny off with Zimwi.

For a brief second the pain stopped and so did the snarling. She just laid their, sweating heavily and panting just as havily. "Denge?" She whispered, this was going to kill her at this rate!
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as the pain came again, this time it was more painful and with a large push she oculd feel a cub moving, however she also realised she wasn't going to be as lucky as Denge, she had more then one cub.
Slowly a head appeared and then the body appeared on the floor, a grey boy.
Ithi turned and reached the cub bringing it towards her untill a pain shot through her again and another snarl left her. She never did get round to cleaning that cub.

Denge hurried into the cave at this, but she was a little hesitant to come to Ithi's side. Shefinally did, quickly nuzzling her mate. "Oh Ithi, it's okay!" She said in a hushed, comforting tone. "You can do it!" She muttered, eyes wide at what she was seeing, it was much different than actually doing it.

She was happy to have Denge there, the nuzzle was comforting.
The contractions for this next cub didn't seem to last as long as the first, nor were they so frequent or painful but yet still she pushed, a head appeared and then the rest of teh body, jet black apart from two lines on her legs, a line down the middle of her head and her ears, all of which were white.
She grabbed this cub and pulled her towards the other, now she rested and washed them both a little as the pain gave way. She knew there was another to come but yet for now, she could wash these small ones.

Denge watched carefully, not knowing what else to do. Neither of these cubs had a speck of color on them, both were monochrome! She wondered just who Ithi had found, though that though made her feel a bit embaressed. That was nothing to think about. "Ithi!" She breathed out proudly.

The newborn female didn't greet this strange new world with a mewl or a cry, but with the rasping growl of a young cub. She was quite mad at being taken from her warm cosy wet resting place. It had been a bit of a tight squeeze but it had been home.
As she was cleaned and as she began to feed, she calmed down. But she'd inherited her momma's temper alright.

The rest had been needed so the lioness could get her breath back. She had still been having contractions but none had been that bad, not yet anyway.
She was happily watching her other two cubs when the pain shot through her again, "D...De..Denge...get..them..away..from...me" She stuttered but the words came out as a sharp pain shot through her and she let out a loud roar. She tried to keep her roars and snarls at bay untill Denge moved the cubs.
She couldn't wait any longer, not knowing if Denge had moved the cubs or not she moved around a bit, a roar emmiting from her followed by alot of vicious snarling. This cub didn't want to come out and it felt as if it was actually clinging and not wanting to come out.
"GET OUT!" She roared, how could cubs be a pain when they weren't even born? She pushed once more and she could feel the cub coming out, so, so, slowly! She let out another roar and pushed and eventually i came out.
The cub was just like the others, not a spot of colour, just as she had hoped.
She opened her eyes and turned to look at the cub. "I should leave you there to die you stupid thing." She had a smile on her face as she spoke.
The last cub was born.
She eventually started to lick at it and clean it before looking at Denge, "Do you want to help name them?" She smiled, she was tired but she wasn't going to go straight to sleep when you look at the three cubs she had given birth to. She knew there were no more, how she knew she wasn't sure but she knew.

The little bundle of fur seemed to screatch as it came into the world, his mior attempts at staying inside were destroyed! Warmth seemed to come and go each time his mother's tongue ran over his small body, and this made him feel very awkward. He let out a few more mewls, before he was able to feed.
Denge had done exactly what Ithi had asked, moving the tiny newborns and then bringing them back when Ithi was finished with the third. "Ithi, you did wonderful." She breathed out, licking at her skull.
When she was asked to help name them she sat for a moment, quiet. "I do not know, what ideas do you have?" She watched the third little boy a lot, and some name she remembered hearing stuck out in her mind. "I think.. he would do well as Fedha'Kialio." She purred out.

Ithi watched her cubs and the first born caught her attention and his lack of movement. She tilted her head and licked at him, he was breathing just not moving, strange. "I want to call him Dharba, I think it suits him." She smiled and licked at him some more before nuzzling her daughter. "They are our children, Denge, our own children and they look just as much like you as they do me!" She let out a purr like rimble and looked down at them again, "Now you need a name.." She smiled while nuzzling the black femme. "I hope the others get here soon, I would like them to see the cubs small before they are bounding around!" She chuckled and rested her head on her paws, smiling contently.
It was indeed something strange for this cub not to be moving much, but the small one had found going straight to sleep was keeping him warm, especially near the warm body of his mother. He had taken his feed and gone to sleep, all made sense to him!

The growl having subsided, a simular sounding purr started, tired and drifting. The black and white cub was on the verge of joining her brother in sleep. Birth is both tiring for mother and children, often. Contented growly 'purr' was slightly defiant. This nuzzling was alright. She wanted to stay awake for it.

"The little girl... so dark, like ash." She murmered. "What about Asherah?" Even though it had nothing to do with ash, and water it did, it contained 'ash' in it, and had a lovely sound to it. At least, Denge thought so. She would see how Ithi liked it.
After he was done greedly sucking at the milk he squirmed right over to his eldest brother and his birth-mother, wiggling himself between the two. Utto, stealing another's spot!

Ithi tilted her head slightly and let out a content purr rumble like thing. "Yes, Asherah... my little girl." She licked at the top of the cubs head again and then looked at Denge, "Our cubs, Denge, they are our cubs!" Ithi nuzzled at Denge leaning a little to get to her. She was happy and content. Ithi chuckled a little as she saw the light grey cub push his brother out the way, carefully she picked him up and moved him before looking ot Denge, "Will you watch them? I am so tired..." She didn't wait for a reply, slowly she rested her head on her paws and drifted off to a calm sleep.
The eldest cub squeaked horribly loudly as his brother pushed him out the way. However, he didn't like that and soon started to push his brother again till he was moved, then the cub was happy once more curled up close to the warmth of Ithi's body.

He mewled a little, but quietly. He wasn't obnoxiously loud at it, like most newborns were. Why was he being moved from his spot? It just wasn't fair! But soon warmth enveloped his small frame, and he fell into a deep, famaliar sleep.
Denge smiled, purring as well. She'd taken Fedha, keeping him in a warm place and snuggling slightly to Ithi, though so she wouldn't crush the newborns. She'd stay awake, to watch.
