A yawn dawned upon the males face as he lazily remembered how he caught this alst meal of his, a small and... not very satisfying rabbit. He needed to get up and go get some more food, for his tummy was rumbling. Why waste the energy though? Its a hot.. and muggy day... the perfect day for some good 'ol sleep. Kini's aqua eyes started to slow down and close... until they darted open again. Something didnt feel right...? Was something else around? The tree's provided a sanctuary for him... was somone violating this place?

Lifting a paw he swatted at the dark area of his tree's leaves, a bird flew out. "Much better..."

Resting his head back down towards the side of the tree the panther male was fully prepped to sleep the day away. This was, until a sobbing reached his ears. They made irritated flicks around, uggh what now? ;~;

Sighing heavily he pushed himself off from the tree and looked down, finding a smaller leopard, a white one, crying. ROlling his eyes the male draped himself over the tree, clearly visible if she looked up. "Whats wrong cub?"

Raising a brow the male leopard stared down at the little one, Man.. wasnt she blunt? She gave up that information really easily... she must be new around here. "Sorry tah hear that. I lost my mother and father around your age as well." He figured this peice of information would help the cub realize she isnt the only one this happened to. "But then again that was so long ago.... Haha im old. You learn to cope with the past. Dont linger on it as i did.. itl only hurt you in the future."

Why was he talking so much? Oo this wasnt like him at all... then again it isnt everyday you see another leopard in this part of the woods. Kini raised his brow once again as she stared up at him, was he that scarey? Aqua eyes flashing he sighed. "You look at me as if im gonna attack you..."

XP Well wouldnt you be scared? A panther sitting in a darkened tree... he was practically half hidden. The only part visable was the part hanging out of the tree, which was his head and front arms.

"Always sorry.." He laughed faintly as everything out of the females mouth seemed to be an apology.

Heaving himself out of the tree he landed lightly on the ground, which was... unprotected territory ._.; Laying down on his stomach he made his eyes level with hers. "I still look scarey?" e___e; Kini you... moron. of COURSE you do!? your huge compaired to her!

"Size sometimes matters but im a lazy soul at heart, i wouldnt attack you." With this the lazy arse Panther laid on his side, his stomach exposed. He was completly letting his guard down.

"Fah... let 'em. It isnt like i cant take care of myself. Besides im more or less showing you i wont attack you." His tail flopped about on the forest flooring causing some of the dirt to cling to his black fur. It was already dark, so the extra added brown didnt help it.

"Besides usually im the only predator i see in these woods. Now.. go out onto the plains, there youll find some things to hide from. Usually i just hang out in my tree, come down when i need to stretch my legs... hunt... or get a drink."

The leopard couldnt help but blink twice as the other curled against him, well... this was definatly err... different @_@; His ears twitched slowly not used to having someone else close to him.

Though he didnt have someone to curl next to when he was a cub... so he felt her pain. He would let her stay there without worry, he'd protect her. "Mrrr.." Was all the male could muster at that time. Bah >_<; He had fatherly instincts...? This was DEFINATLY a interesting day.

"You seem tired."

Nodding the male curled his tail around the small pup. He was starting to get a odd attachment to this little one... "Oh, by the way... my names Kini." He said completly forgetting he didnt introduce himself.

"Ahh, it is a little chilly in the shades of the tree's. The suns out today so its warmer where the sun hits the floor." He snorted faintly, remembering back to he hadnt eaten a large meal in a few days... he'd have to go hunting sometime. "So... Why where you on the forest floor and not in a tree?" He was larger then most cubs when he was her age so he had no problem climbing them. Though this female seemed to be newly weaned...

"Nice name." He said first of all. Kini laughed next. "Sure ill teach you... its not that hard to do.":" Well ide think it was possible to climb tree's, i dont fly into them afterall." He snorted. Man Oo; teh lazy kini is actually DOING something?

"Lets work on the climbing first..." Heaving himself to his feet the male finally showed the other his full height, he hopes she still trusted him. SHaking his body the dry dirt puffed off of his fur. Walking over to a low tree he waited for her to follow. "First thing you need to do is make sure your claws stay sharp. This is not only essential for tree climbing and hunting... but protection as well."
