My one true musical love is They Might Be Giants. <3
Other than them, most of what I listen to falls under indie rock/pop. Neutral Milk Hotel, The Decemberists, The Shins, Elf Power. I also like the Wizard Rock Movement, as in Harry and the Potters and the Hermione Crookshanks Experience. And I love movie soundtracks (Disney! Ghibli!).
Perhaps I will post some lyrics some time~~~

Anime music, jazz, VG music, rock, punk, and anything 'epic' (epic trance and epic metal alike). Current favorite artists include TaQ, onoken, Blind Guardian, and the Earthbound remix.
Not specifically a funny lyric, but more two funny mishearings of lyrics from my friends:
Original: I've seen the end of all (Blind Guardian, Mirror, Mirror)
Heard: I've seen the alcohol or God save the alcohol
Original: By the ancient spirits' rites, the old ghosts proclaim their rights (Demons & Wizards, Blood on my Hands)
Heard: By the ancient spirits' rites, the old ghosts proclaim their arse
