Ok, every damn guild has one, so I bit the bullet and did it. Not much to tell about myself, I grew up agnostic, and got thrown into a spiritual quest as a result of 9/11, and ended up practicing Yoga after 2 or 3 years of hoping from one religion to another trying to find what felt right to me. Thankfully I've found a teacher, and I'm writing spiritual poetry, with plans to (hopefully) publish a book or two one day. You can read some of my work at the website on my bio page. I'm currently studying religion at Linfield College in Mcminnville, Or.

I am currently a Canadian University student, and a practicing Buddhist with an interest in Hinduism, and especially the ideas and practices presented in the tantric traditions. I began practicing Buddhism while working for a large corporation which caused me to seriously question my choices of employer and what I was being asked to do by the corporation. This serious conflict between my morality at the time, and the requirements of my occupation created much suffering. It was at that key moment that an introductory book on Tibetan Buddhism crossed my path - in the early parts of the book, the author explained briefly the concept of karma and wrote that it was no coincidence that I was reading those exact words. It wasn't long before I quit that job and began working in a bookstore instead - I took quite a pay cut, but I felt much better for it. I then began to look into going to University, which I'm now enrolled in. As I've been looking deeper into Vajrayana (Tantric Buddhism), I've been growing gradually more interested in Hinduism and its spiritual traditions. Or perhaps I should refer to it as "Hinduisms" (plural).

I am a junior in high school, currently living in a conservative farm town in Ohio. Right now my religion is Eclectic Pagan, taking parts from Wicca and Hindu. I was drawn to Hinduism because of Ganesha, so that made me want to learn more. In the future I plan on moving to San Francisco, California to attend an art school for photography (fashion photography, to be specific). That's about it, short and sweet.

I'm Jade. I grew up, for the most part, agnostic, with the occasional visit to the Catholic/Christian Church for Sunday school and what not. For quite a long time I found myself to be non-religious. But, when I was about 12, my father left my younger brother, mother and I for another woman and family, causing much havoc and suffering around my home. It was then that I adapted Buddhism, which I study and practice to this day. I find the idea of spirituality and religion fascinating, and therefore love to learn about every aspect of it. This includes learning about religions other than my own.
On another note, I enjoy reading, writing, and knowledge in general. I love music, and am currently considering becoming a proffesional musician. I play the violin, cello and guitar and am considering picking up the piano someday soon.
I suppose that's about it. I can't wait to see how this guild picks up.

Hello, my name is Miko, I'm a senior in highschool in a highly conservative town in Ohio (Hello Vertigo_Kiwi! I wonder if we live near eachother?). I am 18, and have been an atheist for quite some time, until recently when a friend introduced my to CHildren of Kali (I do not know how to say it in the nateive tongue yet.) I have always loved Hinduism, and Buddism, as well as having an intrest in Taoism and a few more obscure ones.
I am an artist, and a writer. I love philosophy, and there are never enough books in a library for me. ^^

Well, regardless of who brought who, I'm glad you all are here. I look forward to getting some serious conversation started in this guild, and it looks like I might just be learning as much from all of you (Miko wink ) as you will from me. Not that I'm any expert on Hinduism, which I'm not (actually that was part of the reason I started this guild in the first place.)

Namaste everyone. 3nodding heart I'm so glad I could join this guild. ^^ My name is Suhaila. I live in a very eclectic household. My mum is a shamanic pagan with roots in Wicca. My grandma is Catholic, and my larf is .. agnostic I think? ^^; I was raised Wiccan but I've also practiced Buddhism for quite a while, mainly Zen.
I'm 20 years old, and I belong to the Daughters of Kali program, which blends Shaktism with Western Paganism. ^^ ( I'm not sure if this is the same thing as Miko's 'Children of Kali' but they sound similar surprised ) We worship Kali Maa in all her forms. I hope to eventually pilgramage to India. ^^

Hello all! Im Shokai. To be honest...I have no religion...but I practice Buddhism and Pureland method. I wish to learn more about Hinduism as for some reason I really like the Ramayana and I also like Hindi music but thats not the purpose why I joined this guild. I just want to learn more about Hinduism. I am somewhat intereste in occultism too but am too afraid to explore it even more.

Ahoy.
I'm Karhallarn, Kar for short. I'm a practicioner of Mahayana Buddhism, and a close friend of the guild creator IRL; I've known him since we were both four or five years old. I suppose I'm here on the behest of Ramacharaka, but I look forward to talking to you all nonetheless. I do alot of studying on the philosophical and moral issues of religion, and though I haven't done very much studying of Hinduism, I've picked up a ton of knowledge from Rama.
I am a professional musician, and I'm currently training to become a videogame designer. One of my aspirations is to write scores for videogames. I play jazz and classical piano and organ, as well as progressive metal keyboards and drums. I'm also - though I kinda hate to admit it - a hardcore D&D player, haha.
