Today, it is 12 years since Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of the grunge band Nirvana locked himself in his greenhouse, injected himself with enough heroin to kill a elephant and shot himself in the mouth with a double-barreled shotgun. If you like his music or not, he was a succsessful musician that opened up so many doors musically and inspired great bands to come after him (e.g The Vines.) After severe depression for days he went missing, killed himself on April 5th and was found and pronounced dead April 8th. Wheater he was killed or commited suicide is still up for speculation in some fan's minds. He left a suicide note addressed to 'Boddah' his imaginary childhood freind. It is also suspected that he had bipolar disorder. After having an abusive childhood and constantly switching between his mother whom had a boyfreind that beat him and a father with half-siblings he hated, he grew up with alot of anger to his parents refusal to accept him as who he was. He was a huge fan of The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and The Who as a child. He married Courtney Love and had a daughter with her, whom is now 12 years old.
Personal note: You inspire me so much, as a musicain..do you know I am always being compared to you? Like, always by other people 'You're gonna be the next Kurt Cobain.' 'You remind me alot of Cobain.' 'Yo, man..keep taht s**t up and you're gonna be like the next Cobain.' In these past few months, you have almost become a musical father that I constanly seek advice from, thank you for the music you created despite you're background and tragic fall from grace.
