Alrighty then... so here's the schpeel (kekeke). It's maybe a hundred years in the future on good ol' planet Earth and things have radically changed. No longer are there gasoline powered vehicles but hovercrafts and that kind of sooper cool future techonology biggrin . Not only that, but humanity (at least some aspects of it) has evolved. What have these people involved into you might ask? Well... varying levels what people have come to called "Mystics." But, I'll go into detail about that in a bit. In addition to this evolution of human kind, further investigations have brought to light that every myth, fable, and legend is true. To the shock of thousands, there is no "one true god." In fact, the Earth is home to hundreds if not thousands of gods, each a patron to a few mystics or just one depending on their occupation. Also, other mystical creatures have come to light [exactly what kind will be up to us! >D].

Namely, "angels" and "demons" -- two races that inhabited the planet before we did but retreated into their respective worlds once we started "trashing the planet." That's right boys and girls, angels created humans and demons gave us the technology we've become to covet. This little tidbit actually leads into the premise of this whole RP biggrin .

As stated before, demons and angels retreated into their mystical planes of existence mainly because normal humans (humans without mystical power) feared what was different from them. Several regulatory Acts have been put into legislation; all Mystics must have a tattoo of their Order and be visible at all times. All Mystics must have gone through the proper training, schooling, and given passing status. All Mystics must adhere to their Order's Codes or face life imprisonment at special facilities for non-Normals.

However, the discovery of new creatures and the direction humans have gone into this has been a double edge sword so to speak. New types of crimes are being committed, calling for Mystics to be used to solve them and special task forces to be created in order to catch supernatural criminals.

Er... sorry for that little detour, it was to build up to now ;D. The authorities have recently discovered several young children have gone missing, assumed kidnapped since the discovery of the very violent and ritualistic fashion the children's parents and family members have been murdered. At this time, the police have called in the special task force [characters to be determined by us] and the investigation has led to a stonewall leading the head of the team to seek out demonic and angelic help.

Hm... interesting question. In a way they are, but they are on a different plane of existence. Hope that answers your question wink .

Can you go into a little more detail about this reincarnation thing, please?

Demons and Angels sort of mostly keep to themselves unless their respective leaders want them to do something in the human world. Though, I will say that Angels interact more with human's than Demons. Usually with demons they don't venture out a lot unless on Lucifer's order or a demon escapes into the human world for whatever reason. Which is the case for our plot.
