Jess marched the three of them back in silence making sure she was stood between the two boys all the way. She wasn't about to take any risks that they might decide to attack each other again.
She wasn't heading for her office. Discipline was not her job. She did however know someone who would be delighted to take on the challenge. GTY.
Reaching the door of the PE office she knocked hard. "Heeey Mori-chan." She called brightly ignoring the sigh that came from the dark haired boy on her right. "I've got a present for you."

A large knot had managed to twist itself painfully in Cirrus's stomach. Getting into trouble was not her department and she knew that if she got punished, Kayne was in for it big time with her. Though she was already thoroughly pissed at him for acting like such an immature child. She had had enough of his bullying, to her and others. Her eyes constantly flitted between Ms. Montecelli and Ra nervously, but she refused to acknowledge her brother. When they finally arrived at the school she was so nervous she felt like she could pass out at any moment. Damn you Kayne, she thought silently.

"What brings you out here, Jessica-sensei?" Yusuke beamed, looking up from his new issue of Dojo Digest.
His smile quickly faded when he caught sight of her entourage. Primarily because his kendo club member, Rashne was in attendance with two other students whom he didn't know. He had the distinct feeling that he wasn't going to want the present that she was presenting to him. Marking his page, Yusuke nodded to the other teachers, and they filed out. Taking his keys off his desk, he tossed them to Jess.
"Use the chair's office. He's on business trip today," Yusuke said, taking his kendo stick up. "Kusani-kun, get over here. You too," he said to the other boy. Yusuke took his seat again. The new school year had barely started, and he already had problems to deal with.

When Ra saw where they were headed his expression darkened even more. He knew exactly who she was taking them to see. Could the day get any worse.
As she called out what he could only imagine was the shortened version of Ysuske's name he let out a heavy sigh. This was not going to be even remotely easy.
At Yusuke's command he walked into the office and stood oposite the desk waiting to be allowed to sit and recieve the questions and the lecture.

Kayne was in a foul mood. Now that his rage had subsided and he had had time to think about everything, he knew that he was in for it. Fighting had been the reason Charles had decided to send him away.
He glared at the female teacher as she led them silently into the office buildings. Whatever she planned on dishing out to him, he knew he could handle. But then she stopped at the PE office. The young male teacher called Ra into the office by name then ordered him inside as well. Damn, Kayne thought to himself.

When Yusuke called the dark haired boy by name Jess suddenly realised what all the sighing was about. "Ahhh...Mr Kusani we meet at last." She smirked leaning against the doorway. He was going to have to learn to behave himself if he wanted to stay in the archery club.
"I caught them fighting." She sighed, catching the keys that Yusuke threw to her. "I was hoping you would be able to find out why. Being a guy and all you'll probably give them fairer treatment than I would."
She gave a small laugh and turned to Cirrus. "Come on love, we'll go and have our own chat about this nextdoor." She said this kindly and placed a hand on Cirrus's shoulder urging her towards the smaller, slightly more comfortable office.

The knot in Cirrus's stomach loosened slightly at Ms. Montecelli's gentler tone towards her. She gave Ra one last apologetic glance and pointedly ignored Kayne as she walked in the direction Jess had directed her to.

Yusuke pointed to separate halves of the room in front of his desk, indicating Rashne to stand on the left and the other boy on the right. However, he offer neither student a seat. Sitting, Yusuke crossed his arms and kept his eyes on the two boys. Turning his attention to Rashne, Yusuke noticed a black mark on his face.
"I want to know both sides of the story," Yusuke said, surveying the other boys. "Starting with you, Kusani-kun. I need your name, grade, and a brief explanation, next."
This was certainly not going to be enjoyable. From the looks of it, Yusuke was getting settled with the more laborious half of the situation. When he thought back to their last meeting and his punishment, Yusuke thought he made some connection with his club student. Turns out, he was misinformed.

Ra did as he was told standing on the left side of the room. He knew he was probably fighting a losing battle but he had no reason not to tell the truth.
Looking up at Yusuke he began the task set for him.
"We were eating dinner. Kayne was being very over protective of his sister. Another friend of mine called him out on it. They argued a bit, my friend walked out." He paused trying to think how to phrase everything. "I gave my opinion on the situation, he told me to keep my nose out and went to leave. His sister said she didn't want to go. So he tried to force her pysically. That annoyed me."
Ra looked from Kayne to Yusuke, wondering if anything he was saying made sense. "I intervened and I admit I shoved him before walking out. Once outside he charged at me and knocked me to the floor. He hit me, I fought back. He pinned me again and then Ms Montecelli broke it up."

Kayne moved stiffly to the right side of Yusuke's desk and kept his mouth shut. He turned cold emotionless eyes on Ra as he spoke in short sentences. Then realized it was his turn.
"Kayne Shaidey, eleventh grade," he said, fighting the urge to roll his eyes. This was stupid, he thought to himself.
"Rashne pretty much has it pegged, except for forcing my sister to do anything. She had no business staying with him," Kayne said, shrugging slightly as if that was explanation enough and turning his eyes to Yusuke.

Jess smiled at Cirrus as she shut the door and flipped the lights on. Dumping the keys on the desk she gestured to a worn leather sofa for Cirrus to have a seat. "So." She began picking up the electric kettle and crossing to a small basin in the corner of the room. "Are you going to tell me what that was all about?"

Cirrus sat slowly down on the sofa, nervously twisting her blue streak around her fingers.
"Kayne... is a bit of a loose cannon," said softly, her eyes falling down to her lap thinking of how to recap the situation. "We had gone to dinner with Sora and Ra and Sora told my brother to loosen up and let me breathe a bit. But Kayne's really protective of me... he has been our whole lives... and told Sora to butt out. Sora left, but my brother was still angry when Ra decided to have his say," she said, the words flooding out. She stopped for a moment, thinking over what she had said. "That's when Kayne told me we were leaving, but I told him no. He grabbed my arm and pulled me up and Ra pulled his hand off of me." She skipped over Ra pushing Kayne. "When Ra told Kayne that we needed to leave, we went outside and Kayne started the fight." She looked up pleadingly at Jess.
"Please Ms. Montecelli... don't punish Ra. He really didn't do anything wrong," she begged.

"Kusani-kun, you'll have another essay for me in three days. Five thousand words, and additional punishment when I see you in kendo club after school." Yusuke said, making direct eye contact with Rashne. "I'll also talk to Jessica-sensei about futher punishment with archery club as well. This isn't what I mean about anger management. Keep it in check. I don't want to have this conversation a third time with you."
Taking out a fresh file, Yusuke informed Rashne that they would talk again later in the afternoon and asked him to leave the room. He also thanked Rashne for his concise review of the events, and was relieved that Rashne was going light on the attitude today. "You're excused."
Yusuke knew exactly where to find Rashne, especially since he was a resident of the same dormitory. Turning his attention to Kayne, Yusuke's poker face was on. "I want are more detailed explanation from your own mouth, Shaidey-kun. You're not leaving until I say you are."

Ra gave Yusuke a glare and nodded. What was he supposed to have done let Kayne push people around and beat the crap out of him? He truely didn't understand Yusuke at all.
He had not once given him a hint that he couldn't keep his anger under control. One event in his past had planted the judgement on his head. One stupid event. Shutting the door behind him he shook his head. What an ignorant idiot.
He smirked to himself a little. Well at least he didn't have to undergo the inquisition into his personal life again. Straightening his jacket, Ra headed out of the building and in the direction of the nurses room to get his cheekbone checked out.
