this is year is my first time (in a long time, been 4 years since i did chorus at my old school) i did chorus, took 3 year break after i moved here sweatdrop chorus was horrible at my old school xp but im glad i joined chorus this year, i was nervous, adn doubtful of my voice but after practice and voice excercises im able t hit high notes now, no i did not take voice lessons, at my school (well middle school i don't think they care) you don't have to be a good singer to join
yea i was deathly afriad to sing in front of people, but i'll eventually get over it like most stuff and shall try for a solo part if there will be another one whee

Very simple. When you're singing the solo in the beginning, just don't look at anybody there. If you're still having problems, choose a spot on the back wall and just sing to it. When you get more comfortable with the solo, go ahead and look at the people.

When you get more comfortable with the solo, go ahead and look at the people. Thats what My sister said to do and it kinda works or I sometimes just look at one person and pretend im only singing to them

I used to be afraid of singing in front of people... and I don't really know what changed. Just that sometime in the middle of ninth grade, I decided that I wanted the recognition and glory that the soloists received. I wanted to stand out.
....never did, though. ._.;
And yes, taking private voice lessons helps with that. ^^
