The MapThe RulesRegistration:Registration is simple. It merely involves porting your fight system stats over and adding in a single extra stat, the Hunt/Hunted stat. More information on this stat later.
Next, you must decide what type of Bounty Hunter you are. For ease of reference, I have divided them into the three following catagories:
Bail Bondsman - Focuses mostly on Police cases. Informants at Hotels.
+2 Hunt

Cowboy - Takes any bounty they can get. Lots of independent bounties. Informants at bars. +2 Strength

Hunter - Mostly Mafia Bounties. Informants at Diners. Most interested in money. 1.5x bounty amount.

Public Bounties (those posted here) are open to any Bounty Hunter Class, however each class can recieve private bounties from their indivual sources that aren't available to the others.
The Game:The goal of Bounty is simple: Find the Bounty Head and defeat him.
Each game of Bounty is seperated into two parts; Pursuit and Capture.
Pursuit:Players use the Map above. I highly suggest saving a copy to you computer so you don't have to come back here all the time to use it.
At the corners of the map are the four ways the Bounty Head can escape you.
1. The Airport
2. The Seaport
3. The Train Station
4. The Highway Entrance
Your target will move one space (from one building to directly connected to it) per turn. If you land on the space their on, you've found them! Congrats. If not... you have to keep looking.
Anytime you make it to your assigned informant spot (bar, hotel or diner) you can talk to an informant. They will reveal to you where the Bounty was last seen, information on their crime, or information on the Bounty themself. These should help you decide where they might decide to escape from. From there you must decide how to move and which of the four exits they'll be heading for.
Oh no! Your bounty made it to an exit! No worries. The plane doesn't leave for an hour. Plenty of time to track them down and capture them...
Your bounty must be at the different exits a certain amount of time. Ones that take longer to exit in, tend to also be harder to find the bounty head in.
IE. The Bounty can escape fastest by Highway, but will be spotted by you the easiest there. They can hide in the airport better, but will have to wait longer for their flight to arrive.
Capture:Okay... you found your Bounty Head. Now what? GET THEM! Does your employer want them dead? That's easy; beat the crap out of them till their health is 0. But wait... they want them alive? Well.. now you have to use the arrest feature.
It's the same as the CLIMB function from cage matches or the TOSS function from the Royal Rumble. Your attack + your HP vs. their defense + their HP. If you win the roll, you stop them and arrest them. If not, the fight continues. BE CAREFUL. If you kill a bounty head that's wanted Alive, you may not get paid!
Lastly... as a side note... this is still RP. Some bounties may not be stable... or may resist capture at ALL costs. Careful with the way you RP or your bounty that you needed alive... may fire his last bullet at himself and leave you with an empty wallet... and lots of questions from the Police.
New Stat?Yes... a new game deserves a new stat. But before you get all giddy... it's game specific. This stat won't help you in the bar.
*drum roll*
Presenting... the Hunt/Hunted Stat.
This stat will determine how fast you find your bounty once you've cornered them. Now... if you luck out and catch your bounty in a bar or gas station... this stat won't even come into play. But if you target manages to get to the Airport or the Train Station... well.. you got some searching to do. And.... don't forget that you've only got so long to look for them before they escape!
Obtaining Hunt/Hunted Stat:You earn stats in Bounty through SUCCESSFULLY capturing your bounty head. If you fail to capture them, they escape, you accidently kill one you needed alive, or they kill you... you get zilch.
When you have succesfully captured a bounty head, you will recieve XP (Style points) equal to your bounty's Hunted stat. So if you face a Bounty with 3H, you will receive 3 XP (Style points). Your style points can be spent on your Hunt Stat as equally as your others. Just remember, Hunt is only used in Bounty, so be careful if you choose to buy another Hunt point.
All characters start out with 3 Hunt points.
Time Limits and Hunt Modifiers:The Limits for escaping and Escape Area Mods are as follows:
Airport: 8 turns + 4 to Bounty Head's Hunted stat
Train Station: 7 turns +3 to Bounty Head's Hunted stat
Seaport:5 turns +0 mod
Highway Entrance: 4 turns +3 to Bounty Hunter's Hunting Stat
As you can see... it's fastest to escape by highway... but easiest to get caught. Likewise... you can hide at the well Airport... but for how long?!
The Cops?Hey, guess what? The cops are occasionally doing their job, too! Don't worry... on your first few bounties, the Cops won't interfere; you're chasing small fries. But once you start chasing someone with a record, you may find the fuzz interfering with your income. Without a Police Scanner (purchasable in the Bounty Shop), you will only know that the police have seen or even CAPTURED your bounty when you check with your informant. Don't worry, though... the Police don't always go the right way when giving chase... but they are consistant.
When the Police have cornered a suspect at one of the four getaway points, you have 5 turns to get there before the cops haul them away. If you get to the right one within the five turn limit, you get the bounty first.
Extra Notes:Bounty seem to hard for you? Try partnering up! Two people scouring the city works better than one. You'll have to split the reward in half... but at least you'll get something, right?
Uh oh! You mean YOU have committed a heinous crime? You gotta get out of here? Quick, run! Hurry before another player decides to come after YOUR bounty...
(Yes... this is a cheesy way of saying you can BE the Bounty Head in a two player game if you so desire....)
