...I got the piano score for My Immortal, I think.
Back when I was obsessed with Evanescence.
So, I was sick on Tuesday. I was bored enough that I decided to teach myself to play bass [brilliant idea...]. Seeing as I don't know much bass, the first thing to learn that popped into my head was 'homigod, I should learn Totchi's bass solo from Cage!'.
Found the tabs, printed them, took me about two hours to learn, and I think I destroyed my stereo.
Went to school today... and there was a pretty red dinked bass there. I couldn't help myself, even though there was no amp, I pretended I was a bassist and played it. On a Yamaha. I think I've tainted it forever.
When have you found something by one of your favourite bands *coughdirengreycough* and learned to play it, then felt awesome?

Well I just got my drums. I'm not that good yet, but I can play one of the most basic drumming songs ever. If you've ever heard of My Doorbell by the White Stripes, thats the song. BUT I'm learning.

Oh, yes, I've heard it. The drums aren't -too- bad, but it bugged me a bit to see Meg White listed in a well known rock magazine as one of the world's best drummers ever... what about Christoph Schneider?
Yeah, but good on you, if it's well known where you are you'll be popular.

Threads like these make me hug my guitar, which happens to be a Yamaha. I haven't been able to start up with my guitar for over a year so, anything I might've improved on has died. Congrats on learning the solo, my friend teaches me stuff sometimes, I'll get it... but I forget it in about an hour or two

Well, let's see. I have the tab for Child Prey and Cage and Jessica, but it's really difficult to play on my craptastic Fender Starcaster. I'm saving up for a new electric, but my Yamaha acoustic's being worked on at the music store, so I have to settle for craptasticness.

But you can do no wrong when you're with Jack. *huggles*

I need to learn more songs. Maybe I should pull up all my Diru music and give it a try. wink

Nonono, get Rammstein stuff. The drums in Morgenstern are love. Otherwise... when you get really, really super good, play the drums in the Tweaker remix of S.

If you really want to challenge yourself as a drummer, try playing some stuff from Rhapsody. That's hard.
I'm so happy! My guitar's restrung and it sounds sooooo good...of course, I still have to get a nice electric, so the crappy sounding electric stuff continues to bug me xP
