we just chose last week! we're doing "Wicked". sounds great. never seen the show though.
and we've decided... lol. next year we'll do pirates of the carribean... then the next year, when i'm Drum major, we're doing King Kong... haha my friend coreys prophesizing the future.
we'll have the colourguards dressed up in gorilla suits, and i'll be the chick. great.
ooo war of the worlds would be fun.

SubHumanRemains we just chose last week! we're doing "Wicked". sounds great. never seen the show though. -cracks up- THAT WAS OUR SHOW LAST YEAR! lol Well, one of them. We have two shows, you see, one for Football Band, one for Competitions. This year, we're doing a Jazz theme- Channel One Suite, a six minute long piece of death. I fear it. This is the first time we've had ONE song be our entire show, oh well. As for the other show, we're thinking about something like the Human Soul or something. Lots of blues, some Jazz, things like that.

I only found out this morning when i was checking my email...i don't feel like giving out the song(s) that we're actually playing though....for guard, one of them is going to get' sacracficed'....that's gonna be awesome blaugh xp domokun eek ....erm, i mean...how sad sweatdrop rofl

I think ours is something along the lines of "The History of Music" rolleyes I just hope that the mallet parts arent boring...lol. This is a non-state year, but we re expectted to be "great" since we went to state last year. Oh fun! I hope I don't screw up too badly.

Were doing Chronomety..... Funny thing is.... The band that it was originally written for is in my District...... Friendswood Highschool... There so good.... If you wana listen to Chronometry and a bunch of other songs by that same composer go to Keypoulan.com its a neat place. Hes got concert music too!

Lets see. For the '05-'06 school year we did "Rock Through the Ages" with "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, "Touch Me" by the doors, and "Bring Me to Life" by Evenecince. All I know about next year ('06-'07) is we are going to have a Ray Charles theme...

Our show for '06 is 'The Funk'. We're doing songs like:
Play That Funky Music, White Boy
Fantasy
Ladies Night
Jungle Boogie
Spirit of the Boogie
..Yeah! It'll be pretty awesome.
Too bad we're having band camp at the school this year. That makes me sad. crying

On the Farm. My band director is a little...eccentric sometimes but he usually comes up with good shows. I still can't wrap my head around the concept though...I mean--On the Farm? I just hope he makes it cool...
